D and A are trash....They weigh boxes and use to sift through the back retail packs because the rookies were seen. All the way up to 2022. When they have a break the good box gets pulled. They sell those other sh--ty boxes to online customers. I took my business elsewhere back when my 2017 prizm packs were obviously searched and they taped the dang packs in lots of 5. Not 1 mahomes or trubisky rc in about 15 packs they were not as expensive back in 2017.....I wouldn't do business with them unless I buy a case then maybe they haven't weighed out. Go elsewhere if you want a chance at a hit. I dropped thousands and never had 1 hit. 2-3-4 boxes ordered and never EVER hit anything. I've hit more from panini, LCSs heck even ebay more then these clowns. STAY AWAY! STAY FAR AWAY!😡
When Geoffrey bought that Psa8 star Jordan for over $100K. When he put out that video I found a Psa 8.5 Star Jordan buy it now on ebay for $79,000 and it was listed when he bought that card. I knew right then, he might have money but investing wise not too great.
Should have seen when he got hustled on all the BGS pristine 10 Zions he overpaid for.
He's thinking long term. Also, when investing, you're going to lose sometimes.
I bought a "game used" baseball from Jabs. It was supposedly a Yadir Molina home run ball from a certain game on a certain date. I found the full game video on TH-cam from that date but Yadi *DEFINITELY* didn't hit a home run in that game and it has been a couple years but I seem to remember that the Pirates didn't even play the Cardinals on that date. I emailed him to see if maybe he got the date wrong but he he never replied.

Exactly, he would get pissed in his videos that people weren’t buying the baseballs so he would give them away to his Patreon subscribers. I remember seeing his baseballs for sale on eBay and there was no way to discern it from a ball he just bought and on top of that he wanted $79.99 up to $300 depending on who hit the batting practice ball.
Not anymore after he got careless and slashed open his leg on a seat.

Smart decision. The more people who discover the truth and come to their senses, the sooner that grifter will feel the burn.
And most of the time the packs were from blasters or he had already pulled the hits in the boxes and just happened to have these random ones laying around. Like the time 2018 Topps Update was the hottest product on the planet and he just happened to have a bunch of loose packs laying in his garage 🤔
@@carolinatarheels7903 I was getting hobby, but in maybe a years time I never got a hit. Out of all those packs I was due to receive something. And lots of times the pack was all base. Best card I got was a 2020 SP from a retail pack

I can't believe there are people who are, just now, considering that these companies know where the top cards are. They've had a license to print 'money' for years. There's no way in hell they don't know where 1/1's and top autographs are packed out, or 'accidentally' find their way out the back door. When there's that level of money involved, there's corruption. Also, did we ever find out if those guys who got spots in the second 86/87 Fleer box got their cards from Goldin?

I want to point out the TH-cam breaker Rip and List. He does eBay breaks. He was selling Topps chrome baseball breaks. He never ripped the silver packs for people in the breaks. I sent him a message. Got zero response. Filed a refund. Zero response. At least I was refunded But very shady

It's very interesting when you have a news source that you've been listening to for a while and you don't have first-hand knowledge of the things they're reporting, but then they report on something which you do have first hand knowledge about and you know that the way that they're spinning the story doesn't match up to the reality, it throws into question everything else that person says.

I was watching an auction on TH-cam of his and it blew my mind people were paying well over what a card was actually worth and what gets me even more he charges people 50% of what it sells for. Ebay is cheaper I can't believe I said that
I've never bought into his breaks, or any for that matter but I do enjoy watching his content. He's pretty knowledgeable on just about every MLB player.. I like watching his brothers channel also. The Past Is Alive..
@Perry Mason For all those "free packs":. Spend $50 a month and you might get a $15 blaster of leaf or something similar. Jabs only sends out trash to people. He might send $10 worth of cards for every $50 you spend.
I watched that old video of you guys at the card show where you were filming unopened product and fell out of my seat when I saw those low prices. That 15 dollar upper deck blaster box now goes for hundreds of dollars

They most likely have company reps, bring in, under guard, the expensive cards/packs and insert them randomly into the boxes at the factory, and monitor everything from start to finish. It’s good business how long do you think a Casino would be open if nobody hit any jackpots.

That box opening with Spud Webb will probably reveal a card that no one previously knew existed...yeah it's pretty shady all the things that are going on, makes a person not want to be involved with the hobby

I was in a select basketball break, 3 autos or 3 memorabilia. Cards were missing 3 cards. And only had 2 memorabilia. Was pissed.
Jabs just just had a box break, made up of unsealed baseball team boxes for 500$ a box, the only thing there was only ten teams out of 30, you could probably guess which teams weren’t in the break, actually pretty sophisticated.
After seeing that these cases and packs are marked , really makes me glad I stepped away from the hobby not too long ago. Might jump back in once Fanatics is taking over. Really enjoy the videos

Card shops search packs by making holes in the packs to see the hits inside or they can feel the packs and know which packs have hits or weigh the packs and take all the autos n jersey patch cards for themselves
Of Course Manufactures Know where the good cards are in the Boxes/Cases. Its no coincidence that these breakers always get a massive hit while previewing new products! Meanwhile I can buy as much as I want and never come close to finding any type of high value cards!
I am a close friend to Brad. After hearing his story from him I do not think he swapped/was going to swap it but there is no way to prove it to the public without more camera views. He did realize he had to stop breaking so he deleted his FB since he only used the platform to break cards. I think it has been good for him as he was able to re-evaluate his priorities and spend more time with his family.
Anyone that even acknowledges Jabs deserves what they get.

I'm a fan of Optic but have to rethink that after seeing your video. Twice I pulled only 1 Auto when there was supposed to be 2.
Geoff's stats he brings up are amazing he just interprets the data wrong sometimes and really gets caught up in hype. He was so excited that the guys talking him into buying the star were saying things like they think it'll replace the fleer. Which... no way. And geoff went along with it! People buy trends. But that "wave" geoff may have been seeing was more of a splash. An example of people blindly following trends is PSA. you look at PSA vs all the other slabs objectively. Like what they offer for you other than resale value. Companies like SGC chop PSA In half. Incredible service, turnaround time, integrity, gold label, have a 9.5, the Kings of vintage, a nicer looking slab that is black/white or gold. It's a fact that's more appealing than red,white and clear. PSA even gives you a 60/40 leniency on centering for 10's. That is super noticeable and not a 10 anywhere else. The only two reasons why PSA Is at the top are resale value and the amount of 10's you get. One is a trend. (4 years ago BGS was king.) And the other is a straight up scam to get you to sub more cards for more 10's. On every other metric they do not hold up. It has to be criminal in some way what they do.

Geoff is fine, with Beckett in his pocket he is able to convert altered cards into BGS slabs. He's absolutely fine.
I see a class action lawsuit against Panini in the not too distant future, if they're marking packs. It'll probably take a whistleblower to make the case. If true, it'll be a far bigger scandal than the BGS Black Label scam from a few years ago. FYI, I double checked my Topps Chrome Silver Pack that contained a Vlad Jr. Finest RC Auto and there's no marking. But, it's not a super valuable card.

Funny, SGC wouldn't grade my hand signed Don Mattingly 1986 Topps card and PSA wouldn't authenticate it. Even though I have a picture of it being signed when I was a kid. Gave it to them in a follow up email and they still said no.
Bc SGC Doesn’t authenticate in-person autos anymore. They stopped doing that years ago
Sgc doesn’t authenticate autos only grades cards. If the card is guaranteed authentic by the company that produced the card that’s when they grade it

Charging $4 for shipping 1 pack is a scam dude, regardless of any other context. "He should be able to profit from shipping and your a hater if you acknowledge the scam."- you right now. Shouldn't profit from $3.46 (stamps are 54 cents) shipping. I'll wait for your dumb response saying they should be able to profit $2 or $3 from shipping.

I pulled a similar card stock with writing out of a case of 2022 Panini Donruss baseball. Started a claim with Panini, it’s been 5 months and NO word or response as to what I will get in return if anything. Unacceptable. Would love to share picture of card if interested?

Gotta really thank you SCR for calling this garbage out, too many have been impacted by rip offs. I for one have never bought into a break, it seems slimy and run by people I wouldn't lend a pen to write me a check. I never listen to influencers like Geoff - they're always wrong, but I find their vids comical. It's all speculation like the stock market and you will never guess that market to buy the low and sell the high. So, what to do? like stocks, buy quality companies not trendy ones - cards, buy superstars and HOFers athletes that have already done great things rather than paying $10k for a prospect who may never reach the pro level because some dork writer or influencer says they're going to be great. You can see who the great ones are going to be early enough - invest wisely my friends.
I remember when Jabs bought that set for 30k with the mantle in it and did an auction where he profited 6k off of it. Weirdly enough the mantle was pulled at the end of the stream just like all the other ones. Can’t have that mantle pulled early because everyone will leave the stream

The place card holder is definitely proof that they know where cards are in the product regardless of whether hand packed or done by machine or supposedly Third Party, if the Backyard Hotboxe Controversy is legit then this is something that shows without a doubt that the packing process is subjectable to tracking and making sure the BIG HITS get opened live on the streaming platform with the most eyes watching, with the amount of money time and love iv invested in High end products this year alone (Flawless, NT etc) I’m extremely pissed off about the situation (that seems more plausible by the day) that iv been scammed, ripped off and not been given the fair chance /shot / opportunity at the Big Hits in the Hobby I love passionately and invest so much into. Now this place holder ? Bah
To play Devil's advocate here it could be a way to insure the seeded packs are spread out rather than have another case with tag 1/1s like a few years ago.

What really gets me is that this card is only worth 300-450 depending on sales, its not like a Brady Bowman Chrome PSA 10 card, and the breaker stalled and stalled and repeated himself over and over LOL over a 300 dollar card, c'mon man, just no need for this, it wasn't a multi thousand dollar card
