Unfortunately the hobby and secondary market have made if near impossible for the averaged income collector to purchase some of higher tear products. Whether they do it for an investment or grow a collection, for some, the only way they can have a once in forever chance of pulling a top rookie RPA or solething like that would be to buy a spot in a break. We also have ebay, internet to access walmart, target and online stores to purchase a box 📦.
you definitely can? where? Its VERY VERY hard to see the reflection. You have some imaging tech that we dont have? lets see it! This is FAR from clear evidence.
Sorry if I'm repeating this but I just saw the video. The card was clearly switched out. Look at time 1:30 then 3:05. The 1/4 inch exposed at 1:30 is clearly different than the edges on the Jaylen Waddle card....
Taking the cards off camera for a couple of seconds would be bad enough but for that long is just inviting extremely well deserved criticism. I don't care what reasons are given after the fact from being nervous to I made a horrible yet honest mistake if there was nothing shady happening his own alarm bells in his head would be going off after a second or 2
I personally think their was 2 downtowns and he kept one , I have seen a few times where there has been multiple in a hanger box by accident …I mean he knows good and well he needs to have the cards in the camera and anyone that don’t loses all credibility …hope no one breaks with him again
That's what I thought too. Replacing one DT for another seems silly, although when he kept saying "I hope it's not a Fields," I thought for sure he was going to come on camera & it would be a Fields. But 2 DTs in the same hanger makes the most sense to me too.
The fact that his brain is a puddle and cant put a coherent sentence together screams he was focusing on something else- dont think penn and teller should be worried about their day jobs yet
I’ve said it many times in my videos. How people continue to send money to these two-bit breakers is beyond me. Barrier to entry is so small. Half of them have terrible setups. You’re practically begging to be scammed. They ruin it for the breakers that are good people. PS sports card scammer tracker is a 🐐 page. Shouted that out many times.
@@DanTheCardMan2 No I understand what you said. I don't think you do though. Two bit means insignificant, small time, low volume. It has zero implications to stealing. People that steal are just called thieves.
Yeah, it would've only taken a second to show the card, but he goes on and on about being nervous and he hopes it's not a Fields and it takes him forever. So, yeah, very fishy and I'm inclined to believe he swapped it out.
Any time a valuable card is pulled out of a pack I think the person who bought into the break or spot should receive full comp value in cash of the best variant of that card in the set. If it gets taken off camera we can only speculate that there was ill intent.
"I'm really nervous, I'm really nervous guys.... so nervous I'm fumbling around here trying to find that off-center Jaylen Waddle to replace the TLaw with"

Yes exactly.Anyone that started or wants to start doing breaks these situations make it harder for them because of people will not want to buy with any new breaker.
Get ready to lose your ass in money for about the first 6 months until you develop your reputation and feedback on Ebay. I've been doing breaks for just over a year and things were tough starting out.
@@slayerde440 why? Because most breakers I've seen are solely in it for the money. They don't even know the names of players, it ANYTHING beyond the value. It drives prices up and will further continue ruining the industry. My dad had a baseball card shop when I was a kid. He feels the same... SMH
As much as that still has sting to it for a guy who had a parlay with all dogs on the $line with the Jets, Falcons, Giants & the lone loser being Miami I'm getting a damn good laugh from that 😆
the reason why it's bad is because, yeah he took it off camera, but he also waited to announce what the card was until he brought it back (or found the replacement for it). If it was Waddle, he could/should have said that from the start. Only reason to stay silent that long is cuz he was searching for the replacement and didn't know what it was gonna be yet, imo.
Look i do breaks. And the etiquette is simple. All cards, all packs and all boxes. Stay in view of the camera at all times. Period end of story. The second it goes off screen, it leaves the opportunity for dishonesty. Pretty simple even if it seems crowded all that stuff on camera. I never wanna be in a position like this. I understand people arent perfect. But if this were my break, he would be done breaking with me
The only possible reasonable exception is an unopened box. If the wrapping is still on it, that’s the key. The minute the wrapping is off, it definitely can’t be off screen.
I used to think you were a pot stirrer, the more I watch the more I think you're actually a great person looking out for the best interest of others, Thank you for your videos. You're definitely NOT A DIP 🙂
Soon as that card went off camera , all integrity of that breaker was lost. Don’t care if it was the same card or not as we will never know for certain. You can blame it on emotions or whatever but you can’t take the card off camera. If he was so worried about it being stuck , should of shown the back of the DT first so all there knew who it was beforehand.
Very obvious that he was rambling on "stalling" to buy time. Odd behavior if he wasn't trying to swap a card.. but that is exactly what he was doing!!!
shaking my head. I can't even stand when breakers peak what the card is before we see it. Like those that are able to do so that we all see at the same time. I don't mind the slow roll but of course do so with cards on camera.
I don’t believe he swapped it. Look at the card closely when he first reveals the side. It’s upside down and the right side of the card imaging matches what we see on the Waddle card.
He was about to steal what he was hoping would be a big player. It turned out to be Waddle so he didn't pull off the scam but was thinking about it, hence the extreme nervousness.
The card was definitely not stuck as you can see in the video the card was like 1/4 inch away from the top card then he slides it back to flush with card agin he def tried to switch or did switch took to long and made to many movements before sliding the card on table
Taking cards off screen is obviously a big No NO in the breaking biz, however I will say that after comparing all the Downtown cards, the only card that matches the edge shown at the 1:40 mark is the Jaylen Waddle. Focus on the Coral and the ground for comparison (the card is upside down for reference).
Crap like that is mostly why I quit particularly in breaks. I had a questionable incident happen to me with a Mac Jones card before the season started so I messaged the breaker several times with no response then they finally replied and said it wasn’t Mac Jones so I then contacted Whatnot and they supposedly sent the video to the breaker to review (I asked them send me the video or review the video themselves and they did neither) and of course the breaker said he never pulled a Mac Jones and the card they sent to me was the right one. I still think they screwed me over.
I don't think it was the Waddle but I can't quite figure out the player from the limited look I got there* upon closer inspection it appears it could be a Waddle but still pretty shifty behavior
He definitely swapped the card. If you look at the image at #1:40 And pause the video. You can see the player's hand almost at the edge of the card. The card that he swapped it for the hand is nowhere near the edge of the card.
At most I think people should take that in to consideration. if your going to be in a break with him and he takes cards off camera you should be refunded for that position unless your ok with what you got. This way he's more aware of what he's doing as well as your protecting against what could be a scam
You can tell its a different downtown, there is a hint of a straight line or edge of a sign near his finger, so if the card was flipped it would have part of a billboard on the upper right
“Repetition makes a fact seem more true, regardless of whether it is or not. Understanding this effect can help you avoid falling for propaganda,” says psychologist Tom Stafford.
It's a different card lol. We see the side of the card before he shows the waddle and we can see straight optic pattern sides. The waddle has coral basically all the way to the end of the side. If it was the same card, we would have seen the coral art on the side since it goes out further then what we were shown.

STOP buying into breaks people and this all goes away!!! It amazes me how flustered these guys get and how they don't know what to do with themselves even after ripping thousands of packs of cards when they see a little shine in the pack in hand.
So really we should be careful just throwing shade at all breakers and stearing ppl away. Buy instead encourage and even promote breakers like pacman or Layton sports cards or idk any of
The big ones that you’ve watched and feel comfortable with. But if someone consistently gets put on blast for potentially scamming and idiots still buy from them? Yeah they’re dumb. No one deserves to get scammed but for fuck sake of the waiter days careful plates hot andddyaadooittttanyways!!! Then burn bitch. Bye
“I’ve never pulled a Jaylen Waddle” x 4
Hahahaha, the guy should definitely practice his heist before going live next time!
Bro did u see the marked pack pull !??
Ya dip bro. Yes it seems way to shady and you definitely can see him switching out a card. He was pressing a little hard so that the other back card wouldn't move.
People stop paying people to steal your money and just open card's for yourself. Everyone has at least 3-5 different store's near them walmart, target, toy's are us, and Myers ect. We also have ebay, internet to access walmart, target and online stores to purchase a box 📦.
you definitely can? where? Its VERY VERY hard to see the reflection. You have some imaging tech that we dont have? lets see it! This is FAR from clear evidence.
@@moby1kanob He took it off camera! That's all the evidence that's needed. Stop defending these clowns.
Thief, you should never take the cards off camera, then for that long.
I don't care what reasons are given after the fact from being nervous to I made a horrible yet honest mistake if there was nothing shady happening his own alarm bells in his head would be going off after a second or 2
I know like 30 seconds lol what a tool
Crooks. Why would you risk your reputation for a few extra dollars.
Rule #1 of groups breaks- NEVER take cards off camera or else all is lost
That breaker is def shady, cause you do NOT take the cards off the screen that long. There is no freaking excuse for that, every break knows this!!!
I'm a two bit breaker and I don't steal anyone's cards. You can't just lump everyone in to one pile. You know that right?
@@Justintime2grow I think you misunderstood. If you don’t steal peoples cards you’re not a two bit breaker.
@@DanTheCardMan2 No I understand what you said. I don't think you do though. Two bit means insignificant, small time, low volume. It has zero implications to stealing. People that steal are just called thieves.
@@Justintime2grow I know what I said.
@@Justintime2grow cheap or trivial. I.e. horrible camera set ups, lightning, too many questions can be asked.
You missed the chance to say "or was he doing something "DOWN TOWN" where we couldnt see. Lol
the fact that people get excited about downtowns is how sad our hobby has gotten too lol Would have been a 50 dollar insert a few years ago
Regardless it doesn’t take that long to reveal a card that WAS ACTUALLY pack pulled
"I'm really nervous, I'm really nervous guys.... so nervous I'm fumbling around here trying to find that off-center Jaylen Waddle to replace the TLaw with"
Ugh...I'm a breaker and really want to do well and do right, but situations like this along with other shadiness just make things difficult. Please continue to show these videos and force the standard to be high.
Breakers are such losers, on many levels
@@jmc_-im6sd easy
@@slayerde440 why? Because most breakers I've seen are solely in it for the money. They don't even know the names of players, it ANYTHING beyond the value. It drives prices up and will further continue ruining the industry. My dad had a baseball card shop when I was a kid. He feels the same... SMH
I don't see any logical reason for that breaker to take the downtown off screen for so long....
He fumbled that card worse than Waddle fumbled against the Vikings
As much as that still has sting to it for a guy who had a parlay with all dogs on the $line with the Jets, Falcons, Giants & the lone loser being Miami I'm getting a damn good laugh from that 😆
the reason why it's bad is because, yeah he took it off camera, but he also waited to announce what the card was until he brought it back (or found the replacement for it). If it was Waddle, he could/should have said that from the start. Only reason to stay silent that long is cuz he was searching for the replacement and didn't know what it was gonna be yet, imo.
keep calling out these breakers. Good work
Brandin Cooks is now the official Patron Saint of “dippin” breaks.
Keep exposing them!!!!... Love this channel scr
For real
I was waiting for him to come back on camera with a Baker Mayfield downtown 😬
Look i do breaks. And the etiquette is simple. All cards, all packs and all boxes. Stay in view of the camera at all times. Period end of story. The second it goes off screen, it leaves the opportunity for dishonesty. Pretty simple even if it seems crowded all that stuff on camera. I never wanna be in a position like this. I understand people arent perfect. But if this were my break, he would be done breaking with me
The only possible reasonable exception is an unopened box. If the wrapping is still on it, that’s the key. The minute the wrapping is off, it definitely can’t be off screen.
Why ya dip Daniel?
What keeps breakers from slicing open the bottom of the packs and replacing the best cards?
I used to think you were a pot stirrer, the more I watch the more I think you're actually a great person looking out for the best interest of others, Thank you for your videos. You're definitely NOT A DIP 🙂
No he definitely is a pot stirrer
@@jamieprivett5033 if he's telling the truth I'd never have a problem with him
Bro this guy has the exact same setup as I do for breaking on whatnot with the wall case in the background. That was scary. 😂😂
Lol
Instand of wasting your money on stupid sports card. Save your money for raining day. 2023 is going be ugly people 😁
Does anyone know who is authenticating for ebay?
Who is the breaker?
I don't see the info anywhere.
@0:58 lol omg homie swapped the card out hahaha ..
Anyone know the original guy that shot the video
He says I never pulled a jaylen waddle first.. doesn't even make sense.. then he says haven't pulled one before
I don’t believe he swapped it. Look at the card closely when he first reveals the side. It’s upside down and the right side of the card imaging matches what we see on the Waddle card.
Ya I know. Keep defending these clowns.
He prolly had a josh Allen or joe burrow and switched it with the waddle
That made me stressed, if a breaker moves cards off camera for 1 sec people flip out, that was super shady
He was about to steal what he was hoping would be a big player. It turned out to be Waddle so he didn't pull off the scam but was thinking about it, hence the extreme nervousness.
@Clint Clinty he was definitely about to scam for one reason or another. That's why he took the cards off camera and was extremely nervous.
@Clint Clinty 😂
Dip sitch for sure. He’s not exactly Robert De Niro when he says the line “I never pulled the Jaylen waddle brother”
The border on the first card is complete all the way down. The Waddle art goes all the way to the edge so they can't be the same card.
maybe tried to find one to replace but didnt
the border of the card is different the waddle outline at the border is different than the card shown
The way he talked made him sound super guilty
I don't think it was the Waddle but I can't quite figure out the player from the limited look I got there* upon closer inspection it appears it could be a Waddle but still pretty shifty behavior
If you look at his personal collection in the back ground, he has many downtown inserts. My guess, He swapped with an extra one he had.
Forget all that... dude pulled BO JACKSON and acted like it wasn't a thing... DUDE EVERY BO JACKSON IS A THING.
Seriously any breaker that takes a big card of the camera for that long is only setting themselves up. Huge red flag
What the hell is wrong with these people? The greed....
I ha e a clip of a breaker taking a "downtown" of screen and then it turned into a velocity card or w.e that card is called
Comparing the side of the dipped card to the waddle it’s not the same card. 100% swapped it.
I wonder what downtown he switched it for? Anyone know?
Never ever, ever take the cards off the screen. Period, end of statement.
He definitely swapped the card. If you look at the image at #1:40 And pause the video. You can see the player's hand almost at the edge of the card. The card that he swapped it for the hand is nowhere near the edge of the card.
I think the part where he repeatedly says “I’ve never pulled a Jaylen waddle” makes me believe he has, in fact, pulled a Jaylen waddle.
At most I think people should take that in to consideration. if your going to be in a break with him and he takes cards off camera you should be refunded for that position unless your ok with what you got. This way he's more aware of what he's doing as well as your protecting against what could be a scam
You can tell its a different downtown, there is a hint of a straight line or edge of a sign near his finger, so if the card was flipped it would have part of a billboard on the upper right
What if all the buyer filed for complaint on what he just did? Does he lose a lot of buyer?
“Repetition makes a fact seem more true, regardless of whether it is or not. Understanding this effect can help you avoid falling for propaganda,” says psychologist Tom Stafford.
It's a different card lol. We see the side of the card before he shows the waddle and we can see straight optic pattern sides. The waddle has coral basically all the way to the end of the side. If it was the same card, we would have seen the coral art on the side since it goes out further then what we were shown.
