EVs built without battery swap capability are obsolete as soon as they roll off the assembly line. The battery technology is changing to fast to pay tens of thousands of dollars for a battery that will be obsolete in 4 to 5 years.
Battery swap is a good way to amortize the cost of the battery if you plan on changing your vehicle every 4-5 years. Tesla still seems to have the better SW, especially the GUI. Also not very fair comparing different tyres with different Rolling Resistance. ONVO has much lower RR. And you never mentioned that the ONVO reaches a similar Energy Efficiency as the Tesla, but the ONVO has a 900 V+ System whereas the Tesla still has the old 400V (and is 4 years older). So amazing is the ONVO really not. Design and Styling is also not on par with Tesla. If anything specific Efficiency, is higher on the Tesla. Onvo Exterior looks much cheaper Onvo Interior is a 1 to 1 copy of the Tesla MY.
could you expand your coverage to car industry in general. Of particular interest on car design studio etc. Why are they all LOOK A LIKE even in a competitive market? Why the ugly grille vents are still around? Why the very limited rear view still exist AFTER so many years in the market, arent the studio reacting to consumer feedback? Car companies are going bankrupt but there is no divergence.....
Nio L60 has regen, reclining back seats, leg support, navigation in the windshield, battery swap, more efficient, better look, and Tesla has none of those.
6:00 min: complete nonsense. at urban speed, be it in shanghai or anywhere else in the world, you rarely ever need to touch the brake pedal in a tesla, except if you drive it contrary to the way it is meant to be driven. having said that, the l60 is no doubt an excellent ev.
I think it's premature to say Onvo is optimized for CLTC cycle, and Tesla is optimized for EPA cycle. Electrical motors have high efficiency at different RPMs, and manufacturers have to consider real world use scenarios, not just test cycles, it's unlikely for ONVO to optimize for low speed driving, as a lot of people will drive it on highways and evaluate its consumption. Another factor affecting high speed energy consumption is that the underbody of Onvo L60 is not as streamlined as Tesla as it has to support swap-able battery, and hence more drag.
Why not bring the one pedal drive mode to the overseas versions where it is allowed? All Chinese brands should do that. Give consumers the choice of one pedal drive.

I have a Mustang Mach E, that has both one-pedal drive and a big frunk. Two things a value very much in an EV car.
You had me at NOT Tesla.
Be prepared to remake this video when Tesla releases the refreshed Model Y. It’ll set the standard once again. All this competition is great, makes everyone improve on their products.
not paying money to that garbage musk
“gentle" got me brust in tears
Nice review. Onvo did good job. You forgit the MY frunk 😄 for the Tesla fans. Hope Onvo will rampup worldwide.
Look forward to Nio/Onvo hitting the New Zealand market ... eventually. The L60 in my opinion is a better looking vehicle than the Y.
What about the weight of these two cars??
L60 💪💪💪
Tesla still seems to have the better SW, especially the GUI.
Also not very fair comparing different tyres with different Rolling Resistance. ONVO has much lower RR.
And you never mentioned that the ONVO reaches a similar Energy Efficiency as the Tesla, but the ONVO has a 900 V+ System whereas the Tesla still has the old 400V (and is 4 years older).
So amazing is the ONVO really not. Design and Styling is also not on par with Tesla.
If anything specific Efficiency, is higher on the Tesla.
Onvo Exterior looks much cheaper
Onvo Interior is a 1 to 1 copy of the Tesla MY.
Hope not just a static one 🙏
I will personally buy Onvo L60 but majority of people will prefer Tesla bcoz of the brand name.
could you expand your coverage to car industry in general.
The F1 commentator side of him is leaking LMAO. Splitstreams??? Bro what???
Nio L60 has regen, reclining back seats, leg support, navigation in the windshield, battery swap, more efficient, better look,
and Tesla has none of those.
Wow, the Onvo is awesome. Why'd anyone in China buy a Tesla now.
特斯拉一直在降价!现在还有5年免息!以及很多马斯克的粉丝。
@@momomo_114correct. It's the cult of personality. Same here in the USA.
6:00 min: complete nonsense. at urban speed, be it in shanghai or anywhere else in the world, you rarely ever need to touch the brake pedal in a tesla, except if you drive it contrary to the way it is meant to be driven. having said that, the l60 is no doubt an excellent ev.
Calm down fanboy. Don't you have some immigrants to turn over to the police?
Just Battery swap ONVO wins the game no doubt!!! 5years of driving TSLA value depreciate much much more than ONVO
Local VS Global
You forgot to say one thing … there was no Onvo, NIO, Xiaomi car etc without Tesla and Elon Musk … Xiaomi just copied Tesla Giga Factory …
Why not bring the one pedal drive mode to the overseas versions where it is allowed?
All Chinese brands should do that. Give consumers the choice of one pedal drive.
