    What if the ground has bumps or divots? Will uneven ground ruin the dance floor?

      The panels being 4x4 it goes over and kind of self levels over minor uneven ground.

      If you making your own, you can put 2x4’s on the ground 2 ft apart. Put plywood down on it and secure.
      You can paint it whatever color you want. If you’re looking for the wood look, get nice plywood, and stain it.
      You can always reuse the wood for future projects.

    • @thetentguy
      @thetentguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Laminate and aluminum. $400 each section. Building you own seems like a good idea at first, but everyone that has done so told me it sucks. Too heavy, not easily Moveable. I know it’s expensive, but way easier, saving time and money in the long run.

    • @thetentguy
      @thetentguy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think just a normal 3x3 or 4x4 wood look panels are the most popular and versatile. Only invest in that LED floor if you are in a large population area with rich or trendy clients. Not in a smaller rural area, or a small city. That is not something I would invest in.

    Do you ever set up a dance floor on dirt? I live in an area where alot of outdoor events are on dirt. How do the dance floors hold up in that environment and on uneven ground or soft surfaces like grass?

    • @thetentguy
      @thetentguy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have done it on sand and it sucks. If I had to do it again I would cut a tarp to the size of the floor (a few inches short, so you can’t see it) and set up on that. Perhaps you can have a few tarps cut to size for the various sizes you do all the time.
      Grass is fine. No problems. That’s the surface we mostly set up on.

    • @thetentguy
      @thetentguy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are not that thick. Less than an inch. If you’re just using once, I suggest you find a local rental company because each 4x4 price is $400-$500 to buy. You’d be spending $10k + to buy, or $500-$700 to rent.

    This looks like it would be almost impossible to use. 99% of the time, a grass area in someone's yard, or most anywhere is not perfectly level, this is just boards laying on the grass. It has no base, no kind of leveling system.

    • @thetentguy
      @thetentguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s actually the opposite. Because the panels are 4x4 they go over bumps and dips and self level basically, snd most people picking their locations for tents are picking the fastest already, so 99% of the time the dance floor is fine.
