Hey there! Thank you again for always responding and providing this content. I signed up for GSP and am at the point of inserting my "Receipt of Goods and Services Agreement" I bought your contract but didn't see any content for this part. Do you happen to have a template or willing to share what you put for this part?
Im thinking of starting a small business. I feel like a lot of people rent out tables, canopy and tents but I haven’t seen anyone renting out speakers. What if I buy a very good set of speakers and rent them out $150 for event. They can be use all year round for any party, house party, indoor or outdoor, weddings, graduation parties, etc.
I was in my last week of college and had like 10 hours to think about it because I was putting an add in the paper the next day. I don’t like my name “Tent-All Rent-All”. I felt it conveyed I rent everything.
It needs to be simple, and convey what you do. If you doing s full on rental company it can be something like “Romo Tents and Events” or “Romo Event Rentals”. I like your name, it sounds good in the business name.
Man, I just lost a customer because they refused to sign the contract, specifically the hold harmless agreement (which is the most important section IMO). Ever happen to you before?
Do you find that you are consistantly making insurance claims? Or that you are (sort-of) your own independent insurance company according to the contract? Do you have continuous problems in small claims court? Thanks SO much!!!!!
I've been procrastinating to approach a legal firm to do up a rental agreement contract for me. So after watching yr vdo I took action n ask one. They're charging $680 p/hr consultation and they can't cover that in an hour. Their professional fee to do a rental agreement is in the range of $2.5k - 3.6k and that only includes 1st draft n 2 rounds of amendments....
Hi there, new in the rental business. I'm renting out mostly camera equipment and was wondering how should I go about with the deposit? Should it be cash? And how much should I ask for the deposit?
@@thetentguy agreed. Who enforces these problem resolutions, or the eventual court orders and those findings? Is this a big problem for you? Thanks again. (NYS).
Really informative - TQ - if it IS crazy (like Woodstock)? What is that kind of charge? It's so difficult to predict without reflection and want to accommodate for potential lawsuits. Thanks so much for your wisdom.
Hi! just bought your tent and BR rental contract off etsy. I had a question for my new bathroom trailer business, what insurance do you have for that side of your business? I will be getting general liability insurance for sure. In your contract i noticed you added a commercial marine insurance for the trailer? What is the benefit of that if you don't mind explaining. Also, do you have any extra insurance to add?

Could you post where you got the stickers made that’s great idea brotha!!!
www.tinyfishprinting.com. Just call them.
Excellent video and resources
Question...If a customer pays by check, how do you go about charging them for a damaged item after the event is over?
Call them and hope they are cool! You could require a credit card for all orders, just on file if something happens.

That could work. A good thing to also have with that is a podium with a mic for speeches and presentations
How did you came up with the name of your business? Any advice and tips on that. I'm having hard time on such a simple thing.

That has not. But ironically I just uploaded a video of a customer changing my contract.

None at all. I’ve only ever made one when a 30x60 tent got destroyed in a storm.
Since you have employees and pay yourself a wage, does that mean your registered as an S-Corp?
Is the blog no longer open?
Sorry no. I discovered I don’t like writing.
Is there a way to still get a copy of your contract to look over, I couldn't go to the website? Thank you! And thank you for all your videos!
I stopped the website. I don’t like writing. $3.00 Patreon gives you it, a bunch of sample diagrams for customers, site visit forms and more.
@@thetentguy Wait $3?!? What exactly does that mean?
Answers my last question in the other video my bad

Holy crap!
I got mine for $150 for 100 copies
Sounds like you need to buy extra sides and heaters .
It’s a tough decision. Most weekends they won’t be needed, so it will be thousands invested for only a few weekends.

We get 25%. Any form of payment is good for us. It’s non refundable. If the cancel, they had taken away our opportunity to rent to someone else.

Just that. It covers it at storage location, on site, and sometimes in transit.
Hey I’m starting mine to but I’m lost on what permits and liscence we need can you send me a list of what we need
Do you have a separate contract for your restroom trailers? Or is that factored in with this contract?
Factored in.
How could I view that blog/contract? I’m not able to pull up that website
I let that lapse. Sorry the website doesn’t exist anymore.
Is your contract now only available through your patreon? I can't seem to access the website from the link you provided.
Did you ever get a chance to send that email? I've been looking and haven't seen it come through yet. Thanks.
Just did a bit ago.
Geez. Renting things out for a wedding is expensive!
It is! It’s creating a space where there isn’t one.
Its also 10000 times more work than people realize for the price🙃
