- This is the ultimate comparison in the world of SUVs: Nissan Patrol V8 vs Toyota Land Cruiser V8. Both of them are the best and the finest when it comes to doing the off-roading work.
The Toyota Land Cruiser V8 was arranged courtesy of Gaurav from V8DXB. This was the ultimate collaboration of the two giants.
Both of the cars Nissan Patrol V8 and the Toyota Land Cruiser V8 have their own set of features to convince you that each of them is the best suitable SUV for you. In the end, it is all about personal preference.

Why would you compare 5.6l patrol with 4.6l Land Cruiser instead of 5.7L?? This is not really a comparison video.

In v8 the defrential lock system is for what purpose bro ? For sand rock mudd and ice v use crawl system. But when and how differential lock should aply ?
Like so many of these comparison video testing it over a single day in 1 terrain either Sand or Mud or some track. You have to take it to the Safari, Forest, Sand, Mud, High Altitude, Low Altitude, Rivers, Rocks, Mountain etc and cover at-least 2000 KM over couple of days. Then come back with your findings.
Still you need to search at wich Type of car need to be compared the limits

Hi the vedio is very good 😊. a more detailed comparison would be appreciated if possible just to make ur channel stand out. Some ideas I can suggest is
1. Difference between the IRS of patrol and axle of land cruiser
2. Approach angle of both
3. Maintenance costs compared
4. My unanswered question since a looong while " why do desert safari tours use land cruise and not Patrol "

Because these cars are given for a limited time so making the content becomes pretty limited.
My best guess as to why and LC is used instead of the Patrol is that LC cost a third less than the Patrol. I will dig deep into this and come back once I know the exact reason.

The land cruiser is generally more easier to maintain than a patrol.
did you deflate before or drive over with normal factory recommended psi? thinking of taking my cruiser off roading!
Did not diffuse the pressure at all. Straight away drove it. And it successfully worked.

These SUVs perform better in Diesel format for daily driving. They're more fuel efficient. Too bad we don't even have that option here in the US. Petroleum companies are very happy to have these big gasoline guzzlers. Greeting from Houston, Texas.
Yeah in whichever countries that they are being sold, they all have petrol as the only fuel option in cars. So the manufacturers do not want to waste the budgets on developing diesel options which are not going to be selling in big numbers.

Wrong. It's about whether you want to replace the gearbox once every 2 years or once every 20 years.
Can one really compare a solid axle suspension with an independant suspension in an off-road test?
The Land cruiser retains the solid axle suspension. For real off-road in a Nissan, there is just one the Nissan 'Y60' patrol or the Super Safari.
Don't you think, the Y60 and the GTR are the real nissans which keep the heritage alive. The other models have been influenced by Renault, for CVTs, less reliability, cheaper materials etc.?

Aren't the front bumpers too low with a lot of unnecessary body kits.......heavily compromising approach and departure angles............cause buying these brand new is not cheap........so for offroading unless its a flat sand surface its fine..........else it will all tear up pretty bad...........P.S am not saying they r not capable.......they r very capable.......its just that both nissan and landcruiser hve overdressed them to appeal to buyers for road presence rather than offroad ready. Or swap the bumpers for after market ones and raise the suspension..........something to think of
That's the truth. It's an SUV but with lot of dressing on it. Patrol comes with an off-road bumper option instead of the city bumpers. While LC comes in special versions where they remove these extra bits hanging around the car.
But a lot of the times people would buy them and then change the bumpers to their taste as that gives them more bumper options to choose from.

Yeap Toyota offers the LC in the 4.6L version out here in the Middle East. They have slowly shifted to the 4.6 and I find it better than the 5.7L

Land cruiser gxr v8 4.6 has a 6 speed gearbox. Not a 7 speed.
The 5.7 V8 land cruiser has an 8 speed gearbox

Guys few thing needs to be improve here
1. We are much interested to see vehicles and their features rather you guys. Adjust camera angles.
