  • ‪@FieldingShredder‬ is one of the only drivers that has completed all the Drift Weeks so far, and that is a pretty amazing accomplishment in drifting. Plus, is just a ton of fun. He started with a S14 2JZ-GTE big turbo monster, then into a fancy Corvette, and finally into an HR 350Z Nissan seat time car. Which is pretty amazing if you think about it, he simplified his drifting life and is getting better, faster, more seat time, and is loving life. This reminds me of the Back To Basics video we made a long time ago.

Interesting point about Chelsea/Luke being down for anything vs any other professional drifter not being in for the battles. Never thought of it like that, Chelsea/Luke are true grassroots guys at heart apparently!

If you've built up your image/skill to make a living, then it can cost you A LOT to loose tah some nobody. Even as an amateur hobbyist porter, I cut up n scrapped some of my past work because I didn't want anyone to get ahold of it and try to use it to ruin my rep or w/e

This is some quality G35 sedan content. Now I have to go back to watch the older drift weeks to see more.

Going 172 in a 240sx is about as impressive as it is stupid. It's a lot of both!

Used to get the pleasure of driving with ben back in the day. Also sold him 2 s14s and a s13 around the time this was filmed.

Agree that most people will like their first DW the best, but there is a lot to say for DW 1 & 2.. these were the real 'travel' DW's where it wasn't a loop, which makes it way more of an adventure. Musselman to Speedsportz & Midpond to Freedom Factory both well over 14 hours driving. Also., zero trailers in sight. DW3 was amazing due to the scenery of PNW, and good spread of tracks styles. However, also a loop, not a journey. DW4 in Cali was similar, with a 'cheat journey' up and down to AZ.. DW5 we got the spirit back in a way, mostly because Brian and me drove from Cali to NY for that. But also an amazing array of tracks, with killers like Summit Shenandoah and E-town Road Course. DW6 started in Oklahoma but after that was mostly Houston area so despite the tracks being sick (Hallett was probably on par with NOLA and Summit as best tracks ever on DW). The "Journey" element is what makes Drift Week. That prevails over anything.

Simpler & Slower is Funner! Why I never built a FAST streetrace car. No trailer loading/unloading, no race fuel, doesn't break all the time and I race TONS more because there are more slow cars at the cruise spots. Long as I won 80% of the time I was happy, I'd race more in one night than some FAST cars would the entire year. IDK how many high maintenance RACEcars I've seen sit in a garage because the owner doesn't want to pay for all the upkeep.
