Carpetner Brut was writing this song, I bet someone said, "man you need to drop the bass sometimes" and that probably pissed him off, and he said, I'll show you how to drop the fucking bass, and then he made this. But this isn't a base-drop. That shit is a bass-punch to the fucking gut. If more electro artists used the concept of a drop like this, some unrelenting force of fucking radical intensity that just doesn't let up, doesn't sound like a broken fax machine, the scene would be better for it. Also it fucking rocks.

Man, I wanted to play this level calmly, thinking every move I was going to make, just as a tactical god. But FFS this track made me go apeshit, burst every door and jumping into every room as a maniac. AND I FUCKING LOVED IT.

+Kite Same here. By this time, the game's checkpoint pacing and more frequent gunplay had me a little worn out. Saw I'd be starting as the dual SMG guy and just kind of sighed. Started, then the beat dropped and I just went full-auto berserk. Did so much better than I normally do and it was great. Somehow captured the feel that I was afraid the second game may have lost; encouraging bold, reckless play and that playing fast and unafraid was the best way to go about it.

one of my irls was staying with me for a couple days while i tried to help her through a tough mental episode, and one day we decided to put on a couple albums we both like throughout the day to keep it not boring. i had heard Escape From Midwich Valley before and when i heard it again after she put on Trilogy on spotify, i knew i was in for a good time. the whole album was a banger from start to finish, but this song in particular became my favorite that day, the synths and the grunge just hit perfectly for me. i also found out that day this is a perfect song for when you need to clutch a losing game lmao

After playing HM2 and finding this song and listening to it more and more i can truly say this song is a fucking masterpiece and by far the best song ive ever heard in my entire life. It adds a pulse to my body and a beat to my step every time i hear it and it never gets old whatsoever. Carpenter Brut is by far, a genius, and the producers of HM2 have INSANELY good taste in music
