If you look closely you will notice that even though the star fury is summoning 2-3 stars, only 1 is hitting due to s (during skeletron) so it does not deal extra dmg against single target bosses but it can shred worm bosses and swarms
having played a similar mod, i found weapons like the minishark to be incredibly good. as well as, if you use the unlimited grenades item from either lui afk, or quality of terrraria mod (can’t remember which) having it throw several grenades at once in broken.
The similar mod I played was called “another rpg mod” and in addition to leveling weapons and armor, you also leveled up, as did the enemies including bosses. Every weapon had its own perk tree, not every type but each individual weapon, so you could have two minisharks with different modifiers like chance to poison and so on.
Just a tip, I’d use frozen wings instead of angel wings as your first wings, as frozen wings are wayyy better and not too much more difficult to get, the frozen feather drops with a 33% from frost golems during a snow storm. Since everyone doesn’t like this method I’d also recommend pixie wings because they are the same tier and more consistent
The snowstorm is not stable, and you still need to find the golem, and kill 1-3 of them in the average case. So this can only be optional, he can complete half the game while waiting for these wings

The king slime does not spawn during slime storm in the center 1/3rd of the map. So you have to go to the outer 2/3rds of the map for him to spawn naturally
BTW the claws is crazy at higher levels. Its crazy high attack speed makes it gain levels really really fast. Yoyos are another weapon that levels really goddam quick.
im interested in seeing him decide on one early game weapon to use, and use only it for the rest of the game. probably a ranged weapon, like the boomstick or the musket, for the extra projectiles

I genuinely think this mod should be overhauled to feel like its base game. I always had a problem in hard mode of obtaining a weapon I really liked but not being able to use it because the damage just wouldn't keep up.
Nearly halfway through the video. It should be mentioned that, due to a quirk of piercing projectiles, multiple piercing projectiles will not hit the same target unless they're sufficiently staggered as piercing projectiles have their own exclusive immunity timers. I think this was addressed partially in later patches but I'm uncertain which one. Weapons like Vilethorn sidestep this issue as they are not 'piercing' in the strict projectile-type sense, but are a rapid sequence of small hits in an AoE. Beenades, similarly, would likely suffer this issue, as well as any bee guns, as they are piercing projectiles with a lifetime. Basically in terms of single-target dps, piercing weapons are the worst with this mod, but in terms of crowd or segment damage, they'd be significantly improved.
I noticed that when you level up a mage weapon the amount of mana it costs decreases. I didn't watch the full video yet so maybe he also noticed that later on.
Id like to see someone do a playthrough with this mod but only using and leveling up the copper short sword just to see how far you can get into the game or how powerful you can make the copper short sword
This would have been the perfect terraria run to build a mob farm but unfortunately necro doesn't really build arenas or farms and just kinda bum rushes things as fast as possible until moonlord is dead
So I know you don’t really do challenge runs but I have an idea. All of your weapons get you at the same time, but all enemies attacks happen at the same time
I think the best weapons in this mod would be most weapons that already shoot multiple projectiles or weapons that only deal 1 tick of damage when used. The reason the shadowbeam staff and death sickle didn’t work is because 1 projectile gives the enemy immunity frames.
This might sound like a stupid question but your weapons consistently do 1 projectiles at 1-4 2 projectiles at 5-8 but when i test out the mod there's no consistently. I have a level 28 bow that mostly only shoots one projective.
He changed the mod settings to suit himself, as a result, for 1 level he has about a 30-50% chance of an additional projectile In the meantime, the initial settings of my mod work so that level 1 gives a 1% chance of a new projectile This means that at level 100 you will always have 1 additional projectile, and at 150 - 1 additional projectile, and a 50% chance that another one will appear

Vampire knives would work with the mod because they are designed to have multiple projectiles so adding more projectiles means that if it’s level 50 or something, the wall of projectiles will all do damage And then there’s a healing… Holy crap
Suggestion: Terraria, but everything you kill is permanently deleted from the run. Meaning you can only ever kill a slime once and then it will never spawn again

The video has a different experience only because the person used the mod correctly, setting it up in the config. He made himself more projectiles per level and somehow edited the experience gain. Ok, now do the reverse. Terraria, but damaging enemies downgrades your weapons. It would mean that each weapon deals a finite amount of damage before it's "out", forcing you to switch weapons and save good ones for bosses. They could be initially buffed to ensure you can have enough damage to make it through, while still decaying fast enough to make it interesting.

So I dont know if you realized this, or if they patched it, but its damaging an something, not killing it that gives exp. you could just make practice dummies and then farm exp off of them. id also love to see you do a gun run of this mod, if magic was crazy imagine a star cannon, or the super star shooter. with how many stars it gives you at night, it'd be insane
Initially, the dummy experience was disabled, although this can be configured in the config, and he simply did not want to do that. The person customized the config for himself, which is why he received several shells in a couple of levels, when with the original balance, 1 level = 1% chance of getting another projectile. And believe me, thanks to this, he spent literally seconds for leveling

as someone who farmed the golems as ranged,i can say that id just chug some bleach,faster way to die,and less painfun than the grind
We’ll rain happens more often than you think and when it rains in the forest it snows in the snow biome, then just wait 1-5 minutes for one to spawn.

An easy way to grind lvls is to equip a guide voodoo doll and attack him, you can move the nurse nearby to help even further.

So I dont know if you realized this, or if they patched it, but its damaging an something, not killing it that gives exp. you could just make practice dummies and then farm exp off of them. id also love to see you do a gun run of this mod, if magic was crazy imagine a star cannon, or the super star shooter. with how many stars it gives you at night, it'd be insane
Initially, the dummy experience was disabled, although this can be configured in the config, and he simply did not want to do that. The person customized the config for himself, which is why he received several shells in a couple of levels, when with the original balance, 1 level = 1% chance of getting another projectile. And believe me, thanks to this, he spent literally seconds for leveling
