I like how at the end the hallow dagger summon grew into full sized swords after all the levels it got. And terraprisma turned into an eldritch being when summoned after grinding
@@orihiho2978yeah BUT he doesn't use whips, which is most of the buffs the obsidian armor gives. Bee armor is better for only summons while obsidian armor is better for summoner that uses also whips
@giobbo98 He could have just worn the helmet and boots of the obsidian armour and kept the flint fur coat. That would have given him more defence and an extra summon slot.

I have 3 Things to say here: First, as always in these Videos, i would really enjoy seeing you carry one weapon from the midgame up untill the end. And this video would have been Perfect for it, since the blade staff count's to the best summon weapons in the game. 2. A few details on the Blade staff. It has the best tracking of all summon weapons, which is especially good against fast enemys like fishron. It has the fastest hitrate of all summon weapons, so it benifits massivly from whips and form ichor and from the sharktooth necklace. and 3rd, i don't know if it actually works, but the old ones army could be perfect for grinding out xp for the weapons.
The way the mod "glitches" stardust dragon makes it the best by a long shot. Having multiple dragon heads flying around basically attaching themselves to enemies is a little OP.
Don't forget how the blade staff ignores a significant amount of enemy defense, which is what makes the mech bosses trivial when playing summoner, increasing it's damage to something like 60 would make it shred any and all bosses in the game.
Poor Queen Bee got completely ignored despite being minion-focused lol. Fun video as usual! The spider staff is special as the spiders only take up 0.75 of a slot, meaning 4 spiderlings fit in 3 slots. The mod might also do a similar thing for the weapons to summon more minions when leveling up as I'm not sure if weapons could give minion slots that don't disappear when you select something else, even modded. I was a little bit disappointed not to see the Optic Staff, it's one of the coolest minions and its issue with only being able to hit a few times per second was fixed.
One thing to keep in mind: Stats for summons only update when you re-summon them. If you level your weapon up, you have to re-summon your minions for the improvements to apply. Same goes for damage bonuses from accessories etc.

I would have picked the Xeno staff instead of the Tempest one, its damage is lower than the Tempst but it doesnt miss, which is great for dealing with fast moving end-game enemies and the UFOs instantly teleport above the target when it gets in range.
Ruthless is the best modifier for summon weapons not mythical. The only stat that is used with minions is damage % as the rest of the stats will be ignored by the minion itself and will only be used to summon them for cheaper or faster casting them out etc.
Ok, watching this video as a summoner, here are a few things I found that you can do to help with progression: 1. Fighting queen bee is useful for not only the bee armor, which is better than just the fur coat, but the witch doctor sells the pygmy necklace at night which gives you a minion slot. 2. Blood moon fishing should not be over looked. In pre-hardmode the vampire frog staff is dropped from wandering eye fish and blood mermen, and in hardmode the sanguine staff is dropped from dreadnautlis. Both are extremely strong for the stage at which you get them. 3. The tempest staff should never be used as a replacement for other weapons, it is very inaccurate and doesn’t do enough damage to be useful. Instead use the blade staff to get the sanguine staff, then use that to get the crow staff from the pumpkin moon. 4. Hallowed armor can be used as a replacement to spider armor if you’re struggling with plantera. 5. The mythical modifier should be replaced with the ruthless modifier as the speed only affects the summon speed and not the attack speed Hope this helps with any playthroughs anyone might be doing.
Future tip; The horseshoe is useless after you get any wings, including fledgling wings. So it's good to use the accessory slot for something else, and to save the balloons for the bunch of balloons if you like the jump effects.
I feel like the Sanguine Staff would have been an amazing summon for this challenge since you can get it early into hardmode. Considering the fact you did not use whips, the sanguine staff would have been significantly stronger than the blade staff. Since you couldn't use the dragon, it was your next best option.
I do love the idea of doing something like this, and just choosing one item to use for the entirety of the challenge. Obviously not an endgame one. Not one of the first two you can get either, unless you really like an unreasonable amount of grinding to be able to get something like the finch staff to be remotley usable in the endgame.
I think the mod "Summoner ui" might help in seeing how much summons you can have, hopefully. (Not sure if it'll count the leveling up of the weapons.) Ps, there's "DPSExtreme" that shows you how much damage you dealt to bosses after defeating them that could help in seeing how much damage you've done. (Works for multiple too.)
while a little buggy, the Stardust Dragon is still the most busted summon with this mod, not close. It levels up insanely fast due to how it sticks to enemies and does damage. It ends up just being a bunch of dragon heads flying around.
Words of advice on summoner, summons that are out when you buff do not get the buff, unless you have a mod that fixes it. So if you want to make sure your summons do max at all times, it is too unsommon and then re-summon all your minions to make sure they have all active buffs and new stats. (Dont know if the updated damage from the level up mod requires this as well, but it's always better safe than sorry )
He forgot about the spider Armour and "wasted his time" mining hard mode ores. I think he forgot about the sandstorm set lmao (iirc, it uses adamantite bars and forbidden shards)
My main question is how do you get more summons like in the vid, I got my imp to lvl 4 but can only use 2 (I have 1 extra slot from obsidian armor) any fixes?
Good thing he did find flinch staff because abigal's flower doesn't gain exp yet as the creator of the mod was having issues with her and i think as well with the desert tiger one as well And if you already know shield of cthulu's damage doesn't increase only the defense
The best modifier for minions is Ruthless, knockback, speed, and critical chance does nothing to minions. The only way to give minions critical damage is the Kaleidoscope whip dropped by the Empress of Light, said whip ONLY gives the crit chance when minions attack the targeted enemy. The damage buff from the Ruthless modifier is the best damage for almost any minion. And for max minions, you want to have equipped; 1) Papyrus Scarab 2) Necromantic Scroll 3) Pygmy Necklace 4) Spooky or Stardust Armours (Depends if Moon Lord is Dead)

I wonder how does your tmodloader work so smooth for you. When I try to play I always have lag spikes and It's strage because when I play normal Terraria the game runs buttery smooth. Do you have any idea why?
Cant believe he forgot about the bee set and the pygmy necklace pre hardmode, that's an extra 4 minions and 23% summon damage, im convinced this guy doesn't know how to play terraria at all
If you decide to do a summon playthrough again, use ruthless or another damage modifier cus only the damage buff affects summons. I think mythical is 15 but ruthless is 18, not much of a difference but more damage is more damage

when you summoned the Terraprisma at the end, at level 65, it looked kinda like an armored person holding the sword in a low draw.

You might have gotten the bee armor, since it would have increased your minions slots and dmg even more.
