The winner of the recent poll on the channel was Fallout 4, so that is what I'll be playing next on the channel! I have never played any of the Fallout series before so this will be a blind playthrough. I'll record episodes of this and drop other bits of content in between, I hope you enjoy!

I think one of the Book Returns machines in the actual Boston Public Library will have Medicine journal available, so save up for that. It'll be 50 tokens.

Yup, the only machine that gives you anything decent. Its mostly just junk items in those machines.
Good awareness of the status of your power armour fusion cores. Fortunately though, power cores will "swap out" on their own when they expire. No need to get out and replace it manually. Cheers!
I really enjoy watching people laying this game evolve in what they pick up. Lvl 1 "sweet a short assault rifle!" Lvl 25 "nah".
I mean, it's pretty clear to me the devs intended power armor users to gravitate to the automatics like the mini gun or assault rifle, or the heavy weapons like the fat man or missile launcher, but I see more and more power armor users going "I'd rather use small arms". I love it
Haha yeah yeah I must look strange using the combat shotgun in power armor. Even more odd if I start shooting with the deliverer 🤣

After you do the job with Deacon and a couple of jobs for Pam go back to him or even go back to him after you do mission with Deacon
Hi Mike, just a few observations: 1. if you have part-used fusion cores in your inventory, transfer one of these into PA before you enter. Else, you will get a long inventory list of them. 2. when navigating to a map marker pin, you will sometimes see it has a ^ or the reverse on it indicating the target is above or below you. 3. fast travel can be initiated, as you have found, from inside some locations like the railroad. It can also be initiated from anywhere else on the map - like a rooftop. 4. If you are not using weapons, why drag them around. I'm thinking about your machete. 5. As a previous comment suggests, you can alter Ada into any kind of robot. Each type has pros/cons and you will also see what buffs can also be applied. 6. Also as mentioned before, Tinker Tom tech, when learned, can buff clothing and headwear. 7. Many locations have armour workbenches where you can, if desired scrap unwanted armour to get all manner of raw materials particularly the more perk points into scrapper. Raw is lighter than item junk but this method adds a bit of time to exploring. 8. You have observed the two types of armour upgrades, AR buffs and misc buffs. Keep a note of the top ones you can't natively make yet like polished metal or studded leather or polymer combat or nanofilament synth so when you find that armour you can easily strip the mods. Likewise, consider the misc ones you want to collect to also add to your legendary items. I've seen you drop or sell any number of good buffs. Likewise, I'm pretty sure your weapons are under buffed. Great thank you 😁. Yeah I've started to use the ones that aren't full. I have a few on 99/100 where I've probably picked up an armor set and come straight out of it. So I'll use those first. I'll keep an eye out for better mods as well, I've only really been focusing on combat and synth armor, so any leather and metal, even it said polished or studded, I was dropping it as I'm not using it. But if you think it's worthwhile to keep those I can do 👍🏻
“Hot blooded murder?” You gotta love Kleo! You never know if she’s going to sell you something, or knock your block off. 😂 The Raiders truly are a special level of deranged. Just so disturbing when encountered. You’ll want to go back to the “test” area where the baby is crying. It’s a silly little side quest, but you get the rewards from the safe controlled by the terminal. You were too busy looting, and there were bits everywhere so you couldn’t hear the instructions. 🤣🤣 Hope you feel better soon!
I get the impression Kleo could pop off at any minute. She definitely has a hit list 🤣. I felt awful for that safe house, I mean wow, raiders are f'ed up. Okay noted thank you I'll have a proper look around next time!

Hay-fever is a bitch isn't it. My wife suffers with it bad, I only get it mild and normally it needs to be really strong for me to get itchy eyes and stuff. I don't think this is that, I've just got a cold, but I've not been able to breath out my nose for 3 days now and I'm over it 😅

Isn't it peculiar? Some keyboards were designed for power armor in civilian pre-war Boston while others are not. Eh, maybe they just employed a bunch of old Mr. Magoo types to open doors with terminals they couldn't handle. 🤷♂️

Yes very odd that only some can be used, and annoying as well as I have to watch the cut sequence of the sole survivor getting in and out of it each time 🤣
Yes I would either sell or syore the mines. I don't find them useful because I never think ahead to set up an area. However you could have placed them infront of the cage the main robot was behind before yo opened the door and then ran. And keep a lower number of grenades/ molitovs but store the rest for future use
@fantasycamp4000 ah yeah the mines are harder to use. I've found them good vs mirelurks and scorpions, so that's always a possibility I guess. I keep hearing about this mirelurk queen. Maybe she has a weak underbelly too 😅
Hi Mike. If you haven't noticed, each food plant gives diferent amounts of food. For example: mutfruit gives 1 unit and tato gives 1/2 unit. Each settler assigned food can work 6 plants. Having 6 mutfruit plants then gets 6 food. Having 6 tato only gives 3 food. So based on that you control how much food your settlement is creating. Then of course, you also grow food for recipes. Anywhere from chems to junk needed to make other things. So based on all that you decide what items are planted. I think I mentioed before you can put a cow trough down to keep the roaming fellow in one spot and then fence him off with a gate to let him out as well. I think you have one or two book return terminals that trade a worthwhile thing(s). I won't comment beyond that. The terminals are all over the wasteland.
Each settler can provide up to 6 food, if you assign them to 1/2 food plants, they can handle up to 12 of those.
Hey yeah I've made a note to put a trough down, I do remember you mentioning it a few weeks back but I'd forgotten 😁.
I think my issue with the food was that I hadn't put enough Tato down. So for example I think I had like 20 Tato, Mutfruit and Corn. Every day I've got a huge surplus of Corn and Mutfruit..but no Tato. As the Tato is getting used by the settlers, I just need to alter the amounts so there's a surplus and I can make veg starch each day
At Railroad HQ you can sell to Tinker Tom - just talk to him again. He will also give you 10 quests to place MILA (whatever that is), which are just motivation to go around various high places and explore. And get caps for it.

X-01 power armor is the best power armor.
Take all the fusion cores out of power armor that you are not using, or the settlers will use it during an attack

- There is more to Ticonderoga Safehouse. Under the stairs there is a broken floor which leads down multiple floors to that door which could only be opened with a terminal.
- Tinker Tom is a merchant and has the most annoying, repetitive radiant quest in the game, aka MILA. Even worse than Preston.
- You can always assign a Settler to a shop, and then reassign them when you find a level 4 shopkeeper.
- Also remember to clear out any caps or aid items from the settlement Workshop whenever you visit, to minimise the risk of that settlement being attacked.
- Build a Brahmin Feed Trough at Red Rocket to keep the Brahmin occupied.
- There are only three Book Return Terminals which have anything worth 'buying.' Those are located in the Boston Public Library, Revere Beach Station and one of the many schools in and around Boston.
- Make sure to get everything you gave to Curie to carry. When she becomes a synth, there is a chance that everything which was in her (robot) inventory will permanently disappear.
- 1:42:27 - There's probably nothing important in the cooler in the top right of the screen, but ALWAYS keep an eye on your surroundings. Bethesda love to hide things in difficult to reach places.
- When trying to find a quest location, instead of going to the map and searching for the waypoint, highlight the quest in the Quests window of your Pip-Boy and press X to zoom to the quest's location on the map. It's much quicker and easier.
- You probably should have accessed the QA Department in General Atomics after dealing with the Robobrain. It would have made a lot more sense, and would explain the crying baby near the end of the episode.

Still watching from the start, at episode 7 atm. Enjoying watching a new player perspective. Just wanted to let you know that there is a mod, which does not count as a mod when it comes to the game or steam achievements. Load accelerator. Basically just 2 files you put in your game folder, it turns off vsync during loading screens and back on when done loading. Since the game's physics and loading is tied to fps, it is capped at 60 fps. But with this "mod" you can be loading at 3-400+ fps, while when playing still locked at 60fps.. just in case you don't like all the very long loading screens loading into Commonwealth, especially in downtown boston. This mod can take those 1 min+ loading screens down to less than 10 seconds. Simple download from nexusmods, unzip and copy to game folder then done. Uninstall if issues just delete the 2 files. I've used it for many years with 0 issues.

Wah Wah. This place is tweaking me out. hahaha. so funny. This lab has rooms for testing the robots to take care of a child. There is a quest but can't remember how to start the quest.
I'm going to give this place a good scour over at the start of the next episode. Reas the terminals out of my armor and so on. So hopefully we find it 😁
I love the banter in the Railroad HQ! Nanites could very well be in our inoculations but seriously, if anyone really wants to know how many Salisbury steaks I eat, well, they must lead a seriously boring life so, let them have some entertainment!
I don’t use Power armour anymore its so clumsy, like wearing a Smartcar. I go for the sneaky, silent approach!

As u know from the comments, Tinker Tom is a vendor.... but yes do a couple missions for pam then return back to Tinker Tom... He will give you a very useful recipe as a reward from what you found for pam.

The mere fact that you haven't reached the building limit at the Red Rocket is beyond me. I've already reached my build limit there, and I don't have half the stuff you do. I wonder, does it depend on how much you invest into charisma. Also, when it comes to food, my settlers only harvest adhesive ingredients. You know, things like corn, tatos, and mutfruit.
Mike if you are considering giving Currie a synth body just be aware that her stats take a huge hit. She I a better nanny bot than a synth , unless you plan on marrying her and leaving her home with shawn

@@mike-thegamingdad Ah, then you didnt find the key. Jump back to Wicked Shipping near Blake's farm and there is a key, and a terminal that has locations of, I think 4, trucks you can unlock and loot.

hi mike when you get chance you can now make a robot bench and then put a thruster on ada and then watch her go?also check the skooled zone he has done some settlement builds without mods and they are AMAZING,he even built some turret defences at somervill place that looked like helicopters/drones that are free floating in the air

I really hate that HUD in PA is actually WORSE than without one. You lose the up/down arrows and I think distance to target as well.
Yeah it sucks, I really dislike the HUD in armor
While you're stripping all those mods from weapons, and there's nothing wrong with doing that, the mods do have weight. The robots from the Mechanist have mods on them as well (that's why you get that notification that a new mod is available in the robot workbench). You should go to Sanctuary or Red Rocket and dump all those mods in the workbench. I'd say Sanctuary is best because that's where you do your crafting and upgrading. You also hoard food items that you seldom use, and you might just as well stop lugging that around too.
I am like 2/3rds through the episode. I take a TH-cam break and I end up behind, almost caught up though. On future playthroughs, in regards to Curie, when you get the dialog that she wants to become human, that pauses her progression. Take her to Dr Amari straight away (as long as you've delt with Kellogg and went to the Memory Den with Nick first). Then you can just sit in a chair and wait 24 hours to move forward with the event.
Oh, and stripping 10mm, pipe weapons, etc., there's not much point. You have the Deliverer and that's the best 10mm in the game. Mod upgrades for it will appear periodically in Tinker Tom's inventory.
Lastly, you can sell your mods. Anything you stripped off of a pipe weapon is fodder at this point of the game.
😂one more thing. Last episode I think it was, you found some armor and it was Sturdy. The game has three tiers of armor that are kinda level locked. As you get to a certain level Sturdy opens up, and eventually heavy. Personally I don't use heavy because of the esthetic, but to each their own.

are you saying the fast travel is boring? cause i’ve watched other playthroughs where they refuse to fast travel (because of “immersion” or whatever) and it takes forever to do anything, they spend entire episodes just sprinting around everywhere
that to me is what’s boring, exploration is one thing, but fast travel to places youve already been to save time
@SeenGod it's all good I'll never please everybody, I've had similar feedback before that I walked too much and it made the episode too slow 😅
I think there’s a Surgical Journal you can spend your book return tokens on at a library. I haven’t looked for it yet though
