In my opinion, This channel is the best aviation-reviewing channel on TH-cam. I remember the old days of this channel. When I watched this channel's first video of emirates premium economy, it had just 11.4k . By the time i liked the channel and subscribed it had 15.6k . Now 23.4k. Thank you so much for sharing so many good videos and wish your rapid expansion continues.

Much more Mumbai coming up! I’m spending most of this month in India due to various reasons. Yes it is one of the finest out there. And it took me a while to notice that the Qsuites are actually the same thing just with a new door and some other minor differences..
I’m actually mixing cabins mostly because of this channel. And also because I rather have a good view vs having a nice seat with no view. Kind of weird but I’ve swapped my seats in premium cabins plenty of times with some in Economy passengers! thanks for being here again!

This meal was very elaborated yet had a street food kind of touch to it, just perfect. It knocked the meal I had on the El Al flight to the 2nd place in my top meals in 2023! And I can’t even replicate the meal, I tried! Thanks again for being here my friend, shalom!

Etihad used to use those a320/21s for their indian destinations, it was good that they moved to 787s because there's a major chunk of transit passengers from indian destinations. Also Abu Dhabi really needs that new airport, the existing airport is absolutely trash for what its trying to achieve (imagine having a 8 hour layover and spending time there ugh).
Yes, it’s mostly wide bodies to India. I recently booked one on the A350-1000 but it was swapped last minute to a B787-9.. I can’t imagine an 8 hour layover there, it’s so boring.. 2 hours are more then enough for me there!

Etihad is really popular in India, especially in Hyderabad. Even I have flown to Hyderabad from ORD with Emirates in May 2022 and still flights were full.

I’m glad you found the channel Umair😃 The carrot was very random, no idea how it got there.. I know where the aircraft are going thanks to live plane tracking apps, there are many online. The layover there was just half a day as when I am done with work I go straight back home to be with my family instead of in a hotel. But I had plenty of Pav’s! love those ❤️

Hey another brilliant video of a lesser known sibling in the region which comes out of the closet once in while . Etihad was always a good airline but AbuDhabi has not marketed itself like Dubai has .Love the food but that's not surprising to find it in Etihad great Indian food as most of the good Indian chefs are working in the middle east .Like the Single Malts on board and love the Botanist Gin a new favourite of mine .Sorry about the Indian custom officer experience some are on a power trip for nothing and always target Middle East flights which for the benefit is also a big smuggler route

Thanks for the video. What do "w" and "sl" stand for? I have seen you making reference to 737-800w and A320sl. Nice firm landing. Safety first then comfort😉
The W stands for winglets on Boeing aircraft while SL stands for Sharklets in Airbus aircraft. Both basically look the same but they have different designations
@@mikeagd477 Aha! You got me on that one. Honestly, I thought every B738 (including all NGs) had winglets and every A320/321 has sharklets. I do know though that winglets are modifications for the B757 and B767. How come no operator has fitted winglets on the B777?
@@sebinamuwanga it would limit the range for the 777 and the wings would get even longer than it already is, and there are other means to ensure fuel efficiency. But hey, the 777X would have wingtips, in a sense lol
What an excellent report - thank you..I love how you focus on the product and experience rather than make the videos all about yourself. My family and I will be travelling on Etihad in the end of the month so it was great to see what to expect even though Business does command a very healthy premium over Economy
Always a pleasure James. And yes, video’s are all about airlines. Each one has a spirit of it’s own so I tend to focus on that instead of the negative things that bring views. Where are you flying to? I found some crazy fare at the end of the month from Rome to Abu Dhabi with Etihad for 70 Euro, nothing! Yes, business is a big step above economy but what Etihad also allows you to do is to bid for Business seats when you have an economy ticket. I use that system some times when I kind of know that the flight tends to be empty (seasons, tuesdays, etc..) Have a great trip with your family! Etihad is in my top 3 for family travel (specially if you have smaller kids).
Etihad - one of the best liveries out there today. I flew Manchester to Perth with them way back and found out that Etihad means United or Unity. I'd rather fly Etihad than United!
Excellent video and what an incredible flight and lounge experience, European Airlines just can't compete in levels of service, the meal looked absolutely amazing. As ever the extra detail you add to your reports add much more useful information.
there is no airline in Europe, not even Turkish if you consider them European, vs the Middle Eastern ones. I know there are shortfalls but Etihad and Emirates are just top tier, not only for the generosity but mostly for the young and friendly crew. So mixed. They always make my day. I’ve flown with them to New York, just didn’t film it. But I will fly them once again! I don’t know if the IFE’s are bigger, I think it depends on which A380 because the newest ones just can’t be beaten for now. I’ll try to focus next time!
I think Emirates has the largest IFE screens in Economy. With that said, Etihad has a pretty good IFE. The last time I flew them, they had a pretty good selection of movies.
Just a small correction at the very end of the video. SpiceJet (MasalaJet) flies both to Goa-Dabolim GOI and Goa-Mopa GOX. Would be great if you mention the airport's IATA code.
You mentioned a rude welcome by the Customs , it must the immigration officer as your video shows you’re entering baggage belt area right after duty free after crossing immigration.. Customs officer only interact while exiting thru green or red channel before getting out of the airport .😊

Those meals really did look top class, and a fruity Australian Shiraz would have been a perfect pairing with that luscious lamb. I personally prefer a botrytis Riesling over Semillon (more acidic), but the De Bortoli is the most outstanding of its type.

That’s not how it works! Sam Chui has a big group of employees that are in touch with airlines and they make the videos together. He gets permission to film the cockpit. It’s very hard, I can’t just go in and film!

Euro aviation still is more interesting and has more variation vs American aviation! I’m currently in the States and boy do I dislike flying around here!
Great job as always, love watching your videos. So I am very curious how do you find out the plane’s registration and when it was delivered to the airline. That BC lounge was so clean, you could eat off that floor including the bathrooms. Wowza that portion size for lunch was insane. Also Eithad has the best crew uniform according to me, very classy but modern.
The registration you can just read on the planes themselves, either close to the tail section or above the nose gear. The delivery I find on airfleets.net. And please don’t eat from lavatory floors! 😂 Etihad is great, absolutely loved it!

it’s so hard to find a similar product in the rest of the world on a flight of this duration.. I just flew from San Francisco to New York (5h) and got almost nothing. It’s sad how people just accept this while paying for higher fares.. Anyway, lots of vegan options too at Etihad! I was actually planning on some vegan episodes but at the same time I thought they could sadly backfire.. But I’ll try!

The 787-10s are amazing 21 more on order. Nice lavatories on the aircraft. 9 in the fleet that will be 30 all together the fleet.

Flew same rote month ago in business class with my family. Aircraft was 787-10. Business class lounge at Abu Dhabi was good.

The W stands for winglets on Boeing aircraft while SL stands for Sharklets in Airbus aircraft. Both basically look the same but they have different designations
@@mikeagd477 Aha! You got me on that one. Honestly, I thought every B738 (including all NGs) had winglets and every A320/321 has sharklets. I do know though that winglets are modifications for the B757 and B767. How come no operator has fitted winglets on the B777?
@@sebinamuwanga it would limit the range for the 777 and the wings would get even longer than it already is, and there are other means to ensure fuel efficiency. But hey, the 777X would have wingtips, in a sense lol

My family and I will be travelling on Etihad in the end of the month so it was great to see what to expect even though Business does command a very healthy premium over Economy

I found some crazy fare at the end of the month from Rome to Abu Dhabi with Etihad for 70 Euro, nothing!
Yes, business is a big step above economy but what Etihad also allows you to do is to bid for Business seats when you have an economy ticket. I use that system some times when I kind of know that the flight tends to be empty (seasons, tuesdays, etc..)
Have a great trip with your family! Etihad is in my top 3 for family travel (specially if you have smaller kids).

There are many out there, flight radar 24, flight aware to name a few.
Etihad - one of the best liveries out there today. I flew Manchester to Perth with them way back and found out that Etihad means United or Unity. I'd rather fly Etihad than United!

Excellent video and what an incredible flight and lounge experience, European Airlines just can't compete in levels of service, the meal looked absolutely amazing. As ever the extra detail you add to your reports add much more useful information.
there is no airline in Europe, not even Turkish if you consider them European, vs the Middle Eastern ones.
I know there are shortfalls but Etihad and Emirates are just top tier, not only for the generosity but mostly for the young and friendly crew. So mixed. They always make my day.

You should fly on economy on Etihad’s a350-1000 from Abu Dhabi to New York JFK the IFEs are probably bigger and better than Emirates
I’ve flown with them to New York, just didn’t film it. But I will fly them once again!
I don’t know if the IFE’s are bigger, I think it depends on which A380 because the newest ones just can’t be beaten for now. I’ll try to focus next time!
I think Emirates has the largest IFE screens in Economy. With that said, Etihad has a pretty good IFE. The last time I flew them, they had a pretty good selection of movies.

Just a small correction at the very end of the video. SpiceJet (MasalaJet) flies both to Goa-Dabolim GOI and Goa-Mopa GOX. Would be great if you mention the airport's IATA code.

You mentioned a rude welcome by the Customs , it must the immigration officer as your video shows you’re entering baggage belt area right after duty free after crossing immigration..
Customs officer only interact while exiting thru green or red channel before getting out of the airport .😊

There are many live plane tracking apps you can download on your phone. It shows exactly where planes are coming from or going to.

Thank you for another outstanding vlog. Great video of a great travel experience. Those meals really did look top class, and a fruity Australian Shiraz would have been a perfect pairing with that luscious lamb. I personally prefer a botrytis Riesling over Semillon (more acidic), but the De Bortoli is the most outstanding of its type.

This flight was great, I’m writing now from a different airline in Business and am thinking how much I miss that flight. Specially the lamb, it’s a weird thing but is it’s one of those meals that changes your life!

That’s not how it works! Sam Chui has a big group of employees that are in touch with airlines and they make the videos together. He gets permission to film the cockpit. It’s very hard, I can’t just go in and film!

You are geographically speaking in the best part of the world. With some interesting airline developments in MENA. The new RIA, Neom Airlines etc but also the established ones like Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, Saudia. Add to that the booming Indian aviation sector.

Great job as always, love watching your videos. So I am very curious how do you find out the plane’s registration and when it was delivered to the airline. That BC lounge was so clean, you could eat off that floor including the bathrooms. Wowza that portion size for lunch was insane. Also Eithad has the best crew uniform according to me, very classy but modern.
The registration you can just read on the planes themselves, either close to the tail section or above the nose gear. The delivery I find on airfleets.net.
And please don’t eat from lavatory floors! 😂

I just flew from San Francisco to New York (5h) and got almost nothing. It’s sad how people just accept this while paying for higher fares..
Anyway, lots of vegan options too at Etihad! I was actually planning on some vegan episodes but at the same time I thought they could sadly backfire.. But I’ll try!
