A Figure description (the leon and clawroline one) actually tells us what happened to Leongar (his actual name is just Leon) after he discovered Forgo. He started speaking in a language that Clawroline and the rest of the Beastpack couldn’t understand as they can only communicate through meows, growls e.t.c. The unknown language being the one he talks to Kirby with before his boss fight at the end of the main game. This means that Forgo actually was controlling Leon (or at least subtly manipulate him via psychic suggestions) from the very start

You can see in the color of the text the first bit describing what happened to this world and the bit before the beast pack got consumed is purple

I typed the same comment and then read yours xD but yeah you're right, the same gotcha talks about how the beast pack wasn't formed before forgo started manipulating leon, it was just leon and carol being happy together, and yeah not controlling, just manipulation, we don't see "possessed leon" until his second phase, which was the first phase of the second fight where we see his name "possessed leon", proving that before the second phase he wasn't being possessed
Something I don't see often pointed out that might be worthy of note in trying to connect the New World to the greater Kirby lore is the fact that Fecto Forgo in the containment area bears a strong resemblance to the heart of a clockwork star, AKA Star Dream and Nova. It's got a similar bright, pristine cyan lighting as in Super Star, with focus centered on a container holding a giant heart-shaped entity.
Since all three (star dream, nova, and forgo) have been shown to create dimensional rifts, it makes me think that the clockwork stars could have been modelled after Forgo's containment. Also, with the Access Ark in robobot possibly being able to carry entire populations across space, perhaps the blueprints Haltmann found were originally made with the purpose of moving the people of the New World off-planet.

What if the Ancients cloned facto? Essentially making Power Batteries capable of dimensional rifts and wish making? Assuming that your theory is correct what if all of the Ancients machines were powered by that of the living creatures that they found, captured and or cloned, that had mystical powers that they sought to utilize

Dream, Heart, Soul, and Dark.
We’ve already seen Dark Matter a myriad of times. It’s safe to say the Kirby is Heart Matter. We don’t know anything about Soul Matter but it could it could explain why most Soul bosses have the same attacks.
Fecto might be the first Dream Matter entity we’ve seen because he’s able to manipulate others and carry out actions through his dreams. Heck, his dreams are strong enough to create his own pocket dimension.

Elfillin is the second half, another SOUL.
Not to mention that Marx could be a being of SOUL Matter, since he comes back in a side story to attack kirby, from the will of his Soul.
Also final true boss Fecto Elfillis is called SOUL ELFILLIS. He also spawns a giant shadow of his soul to attack kirby.

Also I find it kind of funny that Elfilin transforming into Fecto Elfilis could actually be a legendary Pokémon evolution in newer generations.
While Elfilin could be Fairy or Psychic, Fecto Elfilis or Fectofilis could be Fairy-Flying or Psychic-Flying.
Something I see people keep saying. Most everyone I listen to for theories has been saying that Forgo was in the capsule for only 30 years when it's been Far longer
Elfilis was experimented on for 30 years and THEN split into Forgo and Elfilin. An unknown period of time has long since passed in between that event and the start of the game.
" ...30 years after our research BEGAN, a "warp-experiment incident" occured..." "A new lifeform, seperated from the main specimen, escaped in the aftermath." "In the time SINCE, ID-F86 has shown no signs of activity."
I guess I can see how it's just the computer keeping track of time since the incident, but this is how I interpreted the cutscene.
Yup you are completely right the experiment happed 30 years after it was caught not 30 years before the story started.

It can be a nod to the beginning of the kirby serie, 30 years ago. Like, Elfilis existed since the beginning of the serie, in the forgotten land, but an incident occured this years and it's why we got the game. Because of this incident (the separation of Elfilis and Elfilin), Elfilis tried to find workforce and created the portal to Dreamland, leading to the story.

In the description of the Leon and Carol figure, it says when Leon found Forgo, he started talking in a language that Carol couldn’t understand, as she “speaks in meows.” This implies that Leon could never talk like a regular person like he does just before his boss fight, which is also supported by how we never hear him talk like that again for the rest of the game. Leon could’ve been mind controlled since the moment he found Forgo, but this would only be revealed until halfway through his first fight, when his eyes and body glow.
you're right and wrong, it wasn't "revealed" that he was possessed, that was when he was first possessed, he starts in that second phase in the second fight and is called possessed leon, he wasn't possessed at the start of the first fight therefore, he was just manipulated into working for forgo by being told about the "humans" leaving and then gaining the ability to speak english, otherwise he'd have been a puppet from the start using the abilties he had in the second fight

The first fight literally reveals to you that leon was being posessed by forgo via the cutscene "opened vortex. Found workforce" "THEN. EVERYTHING SHALL BE. CONSUMED" literally only makes sense if spoken by id f 86, they literally even have forgo leon for their second phase, the game literally even tells you in the figure
Leon found id f 86 and got posessed by them, 86 then talked english with the animal kingdom and tricked them into helping them get elfilin, leon after being saved from id f 86 is clearly mute (like an animal)

I think a better train of thought is "the reason Forgo could possess him in mere seconds is that they already had a deep psychic link that allowed Leon to talk in that language". Because he's very clearly not possessed right away, he talks about Forgo as another being, speaks in a completely diffrent way and doesn't attack with nearly the same power which wouldn't make sense.
Personally, I’m not going to try to draw any conclusions this soon. For now, all Elfilis is is the thing that helped the Ancients create their portal technology. I think the whole “orb” thing came mostly from the power left behind by Morpho Knight. His whole “casting judgement over final battles” thing explains why Chaos Elfilis is able to use such familiar attacks.
Basically Fecto Elfilis might predate any other ancient science sect entity like Nova. (Star Dream isn’t any older than Susie as it was created off of Ancient blueprints)
Something that is interesting to me is their names. Forgo literally means to do without, showing how he had to do without his other half. However, what’s really interesting is Fecto. Fecto in Latin means completed, thus implying that Fecto Forgo was completely existing without Elfilin. Also, as Sudokuu pointed out in replies, it means that Fecto Forgo's name literally means without completion or incomplete. Finally, this also implies that Fecto Elfilis is the complete version of the creature known as Elfilis.

My theory in regards to Fecto Forgo is that they had to stay in that chamber otherwise they would completely melt away. When the ultimate life form separated, it might be possible that Elifin took the part that is more stable, while forgo took most of the powers
To add evidence to your claim, one of the figurines you get in the game mentions how The Elflin we know is the soul of the two, while fecto Forge was the aggressive ambition. It makes since that while souls are a solid foundation for any living creature (and why Elflin is physically solid and touchable), ambitions can fluctuate and change, thus leaving Fecto Forge in a liquidity, slime-like state when out of its stabilization/Immobilization capsule
A nice detail is how Elfilin's left ear has a part missing while Forgo's right ear seems to be dissolving.

My theory is that the forgotten land was the old home of the sciency ancients. Then they left to halcandra, joined with the magicky ancients, and became the ancients as a whole.

13:50 the game states that ID-F86 is able to control wildlife, not mentioning human-like organisms, so he seemingly could never control the previous species who lived there, the beast pack however is just a bunch of animals easily able to be controlled by Forgo.
Actually, it's initial invasion might not even be an actual invasion. Note it attacked wildlife. Not civilians, not civilizations, wildlife. It sounds like it was just feasting.
I've noticed that there are a lot of lab-made "ultimate lifeforms" that utilize psychic and/or chaos-based abilities.
Shadow, obviously, and Fecto Elfilis if was made in a lab. But there's also Mewtwo, and I'm pretty sure that the term is applicable to Metroids and the Ultimate Chimera, although I'm not too familiar with those franchises beyond knowing that those two are incredibly powerful artificially created lifeforms, I don't know if they have any kind of psychic/chaos related abilities of any kind.
I can fill you in on Metroids/Ultimate Chimera. Metroids were made by the Chozo to counter X parasites. They're not really psychic, though the larva form (which is the one we typically see) can float. Their main thing is the ability to suck the life force out of things and possess a DNA that can't be used by the dangerous X parasites. Actually, the X parasites from Metroid Fusion/Dread are a lot like Forgo. They are gooey blobs that absorb other life and turn into them or a combination.
Ultimate Chimera is from Mother 3, and it was part of a wide scale "Chimera Project" where the antagonists of the game were slowly destroying the natural life and replacing them with freaky chimeras as a sick joke on nature. The Ultimate Chimera was simply made to be just that, the best one. In the actually game, Ultimate Chimera cannot be fought; you must run or it's game over. But the joke about it is that it actually has a switch on its back to turn it off! Ha!... but the little bird on its head will eventually turn it back on. So nothing psychic about it.
I think a good comparison would be Jenova from FF7, Cell from DBZ, or Lavos from Chrono Trigger. The latter especially, because it came from space, manipulated the life on the planet, and used the life it absorbed to become an ultimate being. It could even created rifts in time. However unlike Forgo, Lavos was something that could never be contained.

@@Missingno_Miner The Chimera is battery powered, so it's part robot. The whole thing is more or less played for laughs with the switch thing. The Ultimate Chimera isn't a significant part of the games plot. It has about as much relevance as Tropic Woods does to this game.

My theory as to why forgo didnt escape sooner is that he could escape, but outside of his containment he could only survive for a short period without elflyn, i think the driping on his right side shows his body is unstable, perhaps elflyn was a sort of shell which forgo needed to survive

Funny fact, apparently if you hit leongar when he spawns some of the beast pack. He will eminently attack you and its a great skip for speed running , kinda like jumping on meta knight in star alise
Eliflis always struck me as an inexperienced godly-entity. Based on all we know, it's only ever really toyed with planets/creatures weaker than it. When face to face with Kirby, it wasn't expecting Kirby to also be a Divine Arbiter of Destruction, and thus seems to extremely underestimate his foe. Compared to previous Kirby villains, who know who Kirby is and what he's capable of.
This is more my personal headcanon.
Actually, it’s said that there was a tiny part of the soul, namely elfillin, who prevented Fecto from using all its full power, perhaps suppressing it for an amount of time when the people captured it.
I think that if nintendo wanted to delve into this more they could try and develop a Kirby Animation Series similar to the anime but with the game quality we see today. It would be able to give more subtle details on the origins of this life form and its connections to everything else.

Honestly, when I first played the game, I thought it was the forgotten land’s version of Void Termina
My reasons were
Both have large owl-like wings
Both are considered “Destroyers”
Both have a large ball-like form that jumps around the background
Both are reality warpers
Both have pieces of them scattered throughout the land (Termina’s being the souls)
And both have attributes that can be related to Kirby, (The giant goo thing and Void soul)
Both also have people who are trying to revive/complete them
Honestly now that I think about it, I'm probably wrong and I'm pulling at strings-
Yeah, there definitely are similarities between the two. Like, fecto elfilis even has the same "veins" as astral birth void on the ears and spear, and their themes are ridiculously similar both in melody and composition, and never have two boss themes been so similar. I too think that the connection between the two is not something like "elfilis is born from void or viceversa", but more along the lines of celestial beings on the same level in the hierarchy of the kirby universe. Maybe void is the "god" that is involved in the story of the magical ancients, while elfilis is the same but for the technological ones

My theory is that the people living in the forgotten land were that dimension’s equivalent to humanity, and were extremely technologically advanced, which drew the attention of fecto elfilis, who might be that dimension’s version of galacta knight. They were attacked by fecto elfilis, and their planet got badly damaged, but they managed to capture it. They realized that they needed to leave the planet to continue advancing, but either didn’t have any nearby habitable planets or didn’t have technology to get to one, so they studied fecto elfilis. In one experiment, they managed to separate it into 2 forms, soul forgo, which was mostly made of it’s mind and psychic power, and elfilin, who was made of it’s emotions and body. Elfilin managed to escape the lab, but wasn’t a threat, so was left alone, and they finally figured out how to harness it’s power to travel through space and time since it was in a form more composed of energy than matter, and found Kirby’s dimension, a dimension who’s equivalent of humanity had already gone almost extinct on shiver star, and settled on halcandra, becoming the ancients. In this new dimension, there was magic energy, which some of them decided to study instead of technology, but were disliked for having abandoned technology, which was what got their species this far in the first place. The more technological part of the species mostly focused on improving existing technology using the warping technology and setting up a civilization on halcandra, while the ones who focused on magic discovered the powerful beings of this dimension, such as void termina, and were mostly ignored by the technological side. Back in their original dimension, soul forgo was still trapped, with most of it’s power drained by the ancients, and one day used it’s psychic power to control leon, the leader of a more sentient group of wild animals that was forming, and opened up a dimensional rift to the same dimension the ancient had fled to, which let them steal waddle dees from popstar, which were forced to work to regain soul forgo’s power, while it forced leon to command the beast pack to search for elfilin, it’s other half, which is around when kirby was pulled through the rift, leading to the events of kirby and the forgotten land.
Some random alien that tried to take over a planet, failed, got experimented on and abandoned for who knows how long, broke out and tried to take over that same planet again, failed again, gave up and tried to blow up both planets out of spite, and failed a third time.
My theory is that Elfilis might just be one of many. Moreover, something along the lines of a soldier in service to a far greater entity. When Kirby pulled Elfilin out, Elfilis made no attempt to reclaim him. He instead went for a desperation attack and attempted to take both Elfilin and Kirby down with him. That seems less like a move from a godly entity and more in line with a soldier who's too wounded to fight any further or get the needed medical help.
And he didn't learn a thing even after being captured, experimented on, and exploited. He just wants to destroy EVERYTHING. He had a choice to do good, but he refused and chose to be evil, even before his capture.
Fecto Elfilis: *Declares himself the ultimate lifeform*
Kars: “Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle shall be legendary!”
to me, elfilis looks like an elephant, chinchilla, fox mouse hybrid, due to its name being ELFilis, hence emphasis on large, round elephant like ears. The body does have a rodent emphasis, with a smaill, fox like tail. Also, fun zoological fact: evolotionary and biologically, mammalians are among the most developed and evolved types of animals on the planet (so far, besides outliers like octopuses/ squid and certain birds). Otters, dolphins/ orcas and of course, humans- all have a heightened intelligence through evolution. Notice all the major leaders of the beast pack are mammals (with dedede brainwashed into thinking and acting like a boar, which although feral, are still really intelligent mammals). Fecto Elfilis must have evolved to gain the best traits of mammals as it sees as the best to better itself.
Fecto Elfilis is not the first one to be able to open rifts on their own without aid or usage of artifacts, Magolor is.
As referenced from his moveset from star allies, which includes summoning spikes from rifts by simply charging.
Though not at the same scale as Elfilis did, which made one big enough to pull popstar into a collision course with the forgotten land.
Frankly speaking the whole game was kinda made in the image of rtdl, in a way elfilis itself almost felt like a juiced up magolor.
What I wanna know is what this game leaves Shiver Star as. Since that looking like a frozen Earth is probably one of the oldest and best known "dark lore" easter eggs in the series, it feels kind of weird seeing them brush it aside for this "forgotten land" immediately off the heels of doubling down on the lore and fanservice with Star Allies.
The claw marks in the lab can be seen all throughout world 5… making me think it is more of a foreshadowing element to a large beast is here. Although, it has been said within the figures that Leon speaking is not normal according to Carol as she couldn’t understand him. The other thing that stood out to me was how the small form looks like a fetus, paired with how chaos ellfilis dies at the end looks very similar to how O2 dark matter mass dies at the end of Kirby 64.
I wonder who would win out of every character that has been labeled the “Ultimate Lifeform” since the year 2000

I originally thought "those people left this world behind.. and entered a land of dreams" meant that they all died from using powers they shouldn't be able to wield, but Leongar misunderstood it as sleeping.

I think you miss one crucial piece of information
The 'Leon and Carol' figure you get when getting every single piece of Leon's soul.
You see the original names for Leongar and Clawroline are Leon and Carol. there were the rulers of the animal kingdom as said in the description (which means that the Beast Pack was not formed at the time). Then, somehow, Leon found ID-F86, Which started 'corrupting his mind' by telling Leon to bring the necessity he needs to give them a 'miraculous power'. Leon started speaking English, which carol couldn't understand as she... speaks in meows (That is what the description said her language was). Leon then change his name to Leongar and form the Beast Pack (Comfirming the Beast Pack did not exist until the refounding of ID-F86; This also explains why only Leongar could speak English while the rest of the pack did not). The only reason why the reason they were following along was, well, he was the king at the time, and Carol still believed in him and so followed along like the others and became Clawroline. I believe that Leongar could not spread his intentions for the Beast Pack's goal as he speaks In english, and so could not spread ID-F86 Influence around the animal kingdom, only Meta Knight and King Dedede could, which is why they both were brought to ID-F86
Also you forgot to mention the fact that Forgo is actually just Fecto forgo but in Larvae form and also the Fact that Forgo was classified as ID-F86 and Efflin was classified as ID-87, sooooooooo............ this video is extremely wrong
Small correction: I don't believe Meta Knight was actually brought to ID-F86, since we know all his movements ingame: Scouting once he arrived, then returned to defend Waddle Dee Town after it was rebuilt. So how was Meta Knight made a phantom clone? ID-F86 just didn't need to be close to actually attempt to influence others; He probably just tried to control everything sufficiently strong and compatible, with Kirby ignored because he is more of a parasite and probably TOO dangerous to manipulate directly; After all, we've seen a similar corrupting force just outright converted when it tried to influence Kirby. In fact, it probably sees Kirby as a massive threat, hence why it specifically tries to lure Kirby to attack at it's home turf where it'd have the best advantage, rather than leave since there's literally nothing else it needs from the forgotten land: wide open space to summon whatever it wants and plenty of space to combat from afar, and even just try to annihiliate everything as it's desperation attack.
But how did she understand Elfilin?

We don't quite know if the Ultimate Cup Z is even canon and if it is, then Phantom Meta Knight just comes from literally everything being copied. Even as far as the starting area was perfectly replicated in that dreamworld. It's certainly possible that even a replica of the village exists and we just didn't visit it because it was irrelevant for the quest.
wouldn't the Waddle Dees be the descendants of the ones who settled Popstar? if the people of the forgotten land wanted to settle in a land of dreams, they would have settled in an area that is now Dreamland.
It's confusing, though. In Japanese, Dreamland is called Pupupu Land (プププランド). But they still refer the land where the Ancients of Technology went as "Land of Dreams" (夢の大地). I don't really follow the Japanese lore of Kirby all too much (except when English has really bad translation issues), so I'm not sure if this is 100%, but from what I can gather, the Land of Dreams is not Dreamland, although I wish it was.

I’m so ready for part 2
My headcanon is that the ancient civilization never escaped to any “land of dreams”, and that it was just a false goal implanted in Leongar’s mind by Fecto Forgo so that former would serve the latter. Leongar actually does end up in a land of dreams, but it’s not Dream Land but Forgo Isles, making Fecto Forgo something of an exact-words genie.
There's nothing in the game overtly supporting this, but my headcanon, based on the strange naming, is that Fecto Elfilis is actually three creatures:
Forgo, who has the power to create dream (nightmare?) worlds and psychically influence the minds of others. Driven by the power to control and dominate.
Fecto, who has the power to absorb and consume other creatures. Driven by the desire to invade and consume.
Elfilin, the moral center, grants control to the fusion's abilities. Driven by kindness and compassion.
The power of all 3 are generally needed to freely open spatial warps at will, though there are some caveats to that. Fecto Forgo was able to open the warps on his (their?) own, but the power was out of control without Elfilin. Fecto Forgo + Waddle Dee hamster wheel power would be enough to do it at will according to Fecto Forgo's plan. Elfilin using (nearly) 100% of his power was able to close the dimensional rift at the end of the game. Also, the essence of Morpho Knight, other consumed beasts, and Soul power grants Chaos Elfilis more than enough power to overcome the issues from lack of Elfilin (and Fecto, possibly).
Fecto Elfilis is an invasive, destructive creature because 2/3 of its being are driven by those compulsions.
The warp incident separated Elfilin from the fusion. Why didn't Fecto and Forgo separate? No proof of this, but maybe because their ambitions are more aligned, they are "stuck" together more closely.
We can then speculate that Fecto Forgo's plan was derived by Forgo, and that Fecto then takes over when Leongar is defeated by Kirby. Hence, different speech patterns.
When Kirby runs over Fecto Elfilis, it is possible that Fecto is entirely destroyed, and Forgo's body is destroyed. In the end, we just see Forgo Soul in Forgo Dreams.
But, Soul power is a dangerous thing in Kirby world - it grants powers exceeding the user's original power as a last ditch effort. Dreams are also another type of power in Kirby world, one Forgo was already proficient at. So Forgo Soul was able to survive in Forgo Dreams, and then later flourish due to the interference of Morpho Knight. Soul powers are in full display at the end of the Chaos Elfilis fight, drawing attacks reminiscent of Drawcia Soul, Marx Soul, Soul of Sectonia, Magolor Soul, etc.
Also, just for fun, there are parallels here to the id, ego, and superego from Freudian psychology, if we take this theory even further:
Fecto = id, driven to eat and consume
Forgo = ego, driven to control the world
Elfilin = superego, representing the conscience
Now, do I think the creators of Kirby and the Forgotten World really thought so far as to bring Freudian psychology into this? Well, this was directed by Shinya Kumazaki...so emphatically YES.

This makes a lot more sense now that you explain it.
This was my first Kirby game and it was very good.
For Fecto Elfilis, I think he might be similar to Cell or Boo from Dragon Ball Z or the Flood from Halo; a powerful being (or parasite) without a limit that can change its form. He might have come from a lab (maybe an experiment from the science ancients) or similar but later escaped and started to absorb living creatures. At some point an got powerful enough to form the Elfilis form, maybe even by absorbing Elfilin (or a different powerful being) in the first place.
When Elfilin escaped his body, Fecto last his ability to hold his Elfilis form and started to turn to melt becoming a goo form. However, it is possible/likely that he doesn't actually need Elfilin to return to his Elfilis form; it just needs a powerful being like Morpho Knight.
A possible "proof" that Fecto is a limitless and formless villain that changes it's ultimate form by will is the Fecto Forgo bos right after you defeated Leo. Fecto Forgo lost his embryo form and absorbed whatever he could grab, creating a mass of many beings. However they were all too weak to re-create an Elfilis body. Only Elfilin, the missing part with unknown powers, and morpho knight were powerful enough to recreate the Elfilis body
A most likely false theory: What if the Ancients created Fecto Forgo in the past? It escaped, grew stronger and created a powerful form, maybe Elfilis. At some point, it found the forgotten land because the people there were the ancients before they became ancient. They had some way to seal Fecto Forgo, did expedients on it and discovered a way to create portals between space and time. After some time, their technology reached the point that they were able to freely travel between time and space and went to their dreamland somewhere in the past.
A few of them still had the data they gathered from Fecto Forgo and they tried to make a second form they can control. However, it escaped, grew stronger and the time loop is complete
So we have a “Ancients create Fecto -> Fecto escaped and gets stronger -> Fectro attacks the forgotten land, home of the pre-ancients but got captured -> With experiments, the people created portals and went to the past -> They became the ancients -> Ancients create Fecto” time loop.
And as far as I know from the Kirby lore, it wouldn’t be the first godlike being the ancients have created
My only problem with Forgotten Land is the lack of Void Termina VS Fecto Elfilis
14:25-14:48 And I think the reason it even knew about Popstar was through mind controlled Dedede, reading minds isn’t too hard when you have that much psychic power.
So I got 2 theories regarding Fecto's relations with other games, being Planet Robobot ans Star allies respectively.
For Robobot, I wonder if the warp experiment that split Fecto had anything to do with Star dream and the Haltman works corporation as well. Like they used the supercomputer to do experiments on Elfilis, and during one of these he got angry and lashed out against the people, and subsequently sent one of them to an alternate dimension. However a part of Fecto felt bad for sending an innocent child into the void and it causedmental strain on him and eventually split in two, with Elfilin retreating to another dimension to look for the child while Forgo went dormant. Haltman and the rest of his people went off to the cosmos, with Max also dedicating his life to trying to find a way to get his daughter back using Star dream, not realizing the mechanical menace was corrupting him as well. 30 years later, Elfilin finally finds and returns the girl, Susie, to her own realm and also returns to the forgotten land, where he finds everything has changed. Fecto forgo senses Elfilin's return and begins his plot to reform.. Essentially this theory is like the catalyst for both games.
As for Star Allies, We know from its lore that 4 ancient heroes once sealed away Void termina with 4 ancient spears. Anyone else notice what Elfilis wields? What if he was one of the 4, we're not entirely sure how long FE's been around before he came to the Forgotten land, but I betcha a powerful being like that had to be around for as long as Void termina, and along with 3 others [with one possibly being Galacta knight] fought and sealed away void. But Termina got the last laugh by corrupting the 4 heroes, so that their minds would slowly corrupt, causing Galacta knight to be engulfed in a bererker rage and be sealed away himself, and likely causing Fecto to start infecting worlds with his influence and conquer it. As for the other two heroes, well we'll probably have to wait for future games to know their fates... but likely it's not good.... And more than likely the endgame will be being integrated into Morpho knight's power.

Most likely, the people of the forgotten Land were the ones to separate elfilin and forgo. Seeing as the narrator in the elevator is trying to make the visitors be happy and excited to meet the ultimate life form, they probably meant Elfilin while forgo was kept in a hidden container, seeing as he isn't very family friendly looking on top of having mind control abilities.
Also Elfilin has a cut in his ear implying he had a lab tag on his ear. Implying he was marked with a code. The same code name given to him by the elevator voice
That scene with the hampster wheels, I feel like the original population may have used the beast pack to satisfy their energy needs. I can definitely see those wheels full of awoofy or something similar. And maybe that's why Leon is so interested in following them, not because he felt abandoned and missed the original people, but maybe out of revenge for what they did to the beasts. He is their king after all.
Perhaps the beast pack were the ones who originally ran on the wheels?
I have a Theory,Fecto Elifilis was one of the 4 warriors along side galacta knight and possibly the butterfly (morpho knight) that sealed void termina in the jamba heart.

where did the spear come from?
I think Forgo used his faint mind control abilities to slowly evolve the wildlife into something intelligent after the civilization left, something he could not do with the advance civilization because of their more complex brains. He then used the beast pack that he has created to slowly deteriorate the technology caging him and slowly growing his power which might be why he was able to start making portals again, a power that he might not have used much at this state because it seems like it's just now that he needed more labor.
7:00 it happens a bit too late to be a hint, but besides the early theory Efelin was a lab experiment (hence the notched ear), its notable its counterpart ALSO has a messed up "ear", but on the opposite side.

Okay, one thing has gotta be cleared up. 30 years is how long it took for the warp incident to happen. The game says “30 years AFTER our research BEGAN” but never states how long Elfilis has been split. Forgo could have been in the Eternal capsule for god knows how long.
Yup definitely seeing that it served as a tourist attraction for at least a couple of years before the people left the planet behind.

In Kirby Star Allies, Void Termina, the final boss, is heavily implied to be Dark Matter. In the ancient past, a civilization called the Ancients used Dark Matter technology to create weapons like the Clockwork Star Novas, Master Crown, and Lor Starcutter (referenced by Magolor in Kirby Return to Dreamland). This civilization fell into ruin when the Dark Matter became corrupt and and formed Void Termina (referenced by Hyness in Star Allies). It took four legendary heroes to defeat and seal Void Termina. However, these heroes went mad and became destructive with power.
I'm pretty sure that Fecto Elfilis is one of the four heroes of lore that defeated the first Void Termina and sealed it away (Galacta Knight is heavily implied to be another hero). Fecto Elfilis most likely came from the same dimension as Kirby & Planet Popstar as implied by the events of Forgotten Land. They probably came to the Forgotten Land after sealing away Void Termina. Their dimensional abilities resemble attacks similar to those of Galacta Knight, who is also known to rip into voids of time and space. Both characters seem to have fallen into a state of chaotic power and madness. Both characters have been absorbed by Morpho Knight. It is very likely the next Kirby game/games may introduce the other two heroes as antagonists and will ultimately conclude with Morpho Knight as the big villain of this entire saga.
Now also in Star Allies, an origin for Kirby was implied that he too is an incarnation of Void/Dark Matter but of pure heart. Kirby does possess incredible power and physical resemblance to Void's soul form which strongly supports this. I believe Morpho Knight's goal is to defeat Kirby. I think he is collecting the souls of the four heroes who defeated Void Termina to have enough power and ultimately end Kirby. Morpho Knight seems to be the harbinger of death and the number four seems to have ties to death in Japanese culture. To credit Khyon's post, each of the four heroes could also link to one of four elements of Matter and Morpho Knight may need all four elements to be strong enough to succeed in defeating Kirby.
*Just to note, I'm not sure the Ancients are the same society as the one found in the Forgotten Land. The technology of both groups just don't seem to match up. The Ancients also seem to pre-date everything in Kirby Lore.
Maybe the treadmills that the waddles dees where running on was like a job "run in these treadmills to give us power and well pay you" and its just now being used meticulously

Theory: fecto efllis needs his staff to travel/manipulate space matter. Evidence when you remove elfin from him he raises his staff to open the portal. In the fight one of the attacks is pushing his staff into a portal and having it go through other portals, he only attacks with the staff and finally the can make energy duplicates of the spear end of the spear

I think that the waddle Dees used to live there and evacuated because of the immense power emanating from fecto elfilis, after they went to Pop star they forgot about this land until the beginning cut scene starts

My guess is that Waddle Dees are probably the only species that don't fight back. Plus King Dedede was a major player of the Beast Pack when they were under Elfilis' control and of course he has access to an army of near endless creatures that can't fight back and can be easily forced to do anything
Maybe the waddle dees are essentially either the vacated inhabitants of the forgotten land, or possibly their descendants. It would potentially explain the similarities between them and the awoofies.
I just find it strange that the beast pack would allow the other inhabitants to run free I mean the only possible thing is that like king dedede they were brainwashed two
It's probably just because saving waddle dees and having a waddle dee town is something that works really well from a gameplay perspective. Waddle dees are probably the most common species on pop star, and they've also proven to be incredibly passive yet good at doing work (just look at how fast they buillt up their town), so it makes sense to put the focus on them as a captured workforce

That could make the most sense since reminder the whole reason the robot series kicked off was because of Susie teleporting due to a star portal taking her and haltman said it was a incident so with an incident here saying It split the two apart it would make the most sense it is the same one
I think Fecto Elphilis is a being of Dream Matter (one of the 4 types of matter mentioned in the Japanese description of void from star allies). The different types of matter are Dark, Dream, Soul and Heart. And beings of these types are born when void collides with either positive or negative emotions and a mix of the certain type of matter (dark matter the villain is negative emotion dark matter while Kirby is made of good emotions and dark matter). We have seen plenty of dark matter and soul matter beings, and the emphasis of psychic power and dreams related to this character really makes me thing that this is the first dream matter being we have seen in the series. I think this shows where the series is going in the future, having Kirby take on more than just forms of dark matter and moving onto different matter type entities.
What i find fasinating is the fact that he absorbed the butterflys powers and hes power with the butterflys was greater than when he absorbed elfilin hes other half.
My theory is that Elfilis was some alien or something trying to invade the forgotten land and then the current inhabitants captured it in some way or another, then it split apart into Elfilin and Fargo. This is evidenced by Fargo melting on his left side while Elfilin has a hole in his right ear. The machines that the waddle dees are running in to power the other stuff was probably set up by the old inhabitants to use with the animals, hence explaining why Leon hates them so much. 30 years later Leon is the king of the animal kingdom and then he ventures into the lab to fine a wisp/shadow of Fargo(the type of thing scene controlling Leon in his Isolated Isles boss fight) and he fights it, explaining the scratch on the wall, but it possesses him and manipulates him into forming the beast pack using their shared hate of the old inhabitants. Fargo then uses the last of its energy to open up the rift that sucked up the waddle dees and Kirby into the forgotten land. Though when you think about it, time probably moves faster in the forgotten land compared to planet popstar because the waddle dees had enough time to build a town; King Dedede had enough time to be controlled; and Meta Knight had enough time to do his stuff even though they should all have been sucked up at the same time. Or maybe the forgotten land is actually set like 10 billion years in the future and they were all sent to slightly different times in the future(this is probably not true because there is no ability in the game to influence time).
In conclusion, Elfilis is probably just some alien that tried to attack the forgotten land but the old inhabitants captured it split into Fargo and Elfilis but it was reawakened by a possessed and manipulated Leon and subsequently defeated by Kirby.

Idk if its set in the video but i noticed when you put elfilin and forgo side by side. So elfilins right ear is damaged and it has holes and cuts and stuff, while forgos left ear is damaged because it's falling apart and just looks horrible, maybe this is a design to show they need eachother to have full power

That is not the case. Their boss subtitle is "Perfect Form", and the Dream Discoveries Tour audio recording still refers to them as the ultimate life-form in Japanese. The director actually ensured this time around that the localization of this game stood accurate to the original text unlike the previous game.
9:35 in the 5 star figurine you get for 100% completion of the post game story says that when Leongar found ID-F86(Fecto Elfilis) he began speaking a language Clawroline couldn't understand because she only speaked in meows. Meaning that Leongar's ability to speak was all due to the mind control.
I think the divide between Forgo & Elfilin is like this: they are a species who are all made up of that fecto goo, but have some sort of mental ability to control that goo to shape their appearance and abilities. Elfilin is the original form of his species, with a pure heart and soul and naturally perfect ability to stabilize his form. Forgo, on the other hand, was an artificially experimented on super-evolved form of that species designed to maximize its mind and psychic abilities, which would theoretically be able to make the most out of this strange fecto power by letting it actively reshape itself to an ultimate lifeform, but the same experiments that did so made its body atrophy-it has no mouth, only vestigial ears, eyes, and limbs-and destabilized its form entirely, so most of that prodigious intellect must be wasted just to let it hover and maintain a mostly solid form. Whoever made Forgo couldn’t crack the final step of how to simultaneously give it both its newly engineered powers and its naturally evolved powers, so came up with a band-aid soultion to that Problem: it can use another creature as the pattern of its form, and Elfilin, as another member of the same species was the perfect template, since it has the same base powerset that ALLOWS it to mentally control its form, has a similar enough mind that Forgo can integrate and puppet him with minimal effort. Basically, Forgo uses a tiny fraction of its mental effort to say “hey Elifin: we look like sephiroth now,” and Elfilin’s simpler but more well adapted mind does the hard work of actually controlling the form and executing the physical maneuvers Forgo orders it to. Essentially while fused, Elfilin becomes a dedicated subordinate processor that handles the duties of the Cerebellum, Brain stem, and peripheral nervous system, while Forgo handles the conscious thought and supplies the raw fecto matter Elfilin is controlling.
I think I figured out that when magolor crashes in dream land , and the screen in lor starcutter flickers, is I think is the language in the froggoten land.

So Forgo actually could still open up portals to different dimensions, which is what the civilization was studying, but without its other half, it couldn’t fully control its teleportation powers. That’s actually why those treasure roads opened up in the story.
Also I think the civilization had technology to stop it from escaping. There is one line from the lore stating that the beast pack couldn’t use most of what was left.
Forgo also didn’t escape from containment due to the nature of civilization that caught him, but remained in the capsule for him to use Leon’s influence to control the beast pack.
This game was sick. I'm hoping they do dlc where you can play the game as meta knight, make a super hard mode with a harder arena.

Based on some things that happen in other games I have a theory for the ancients.
In many games, the butterfly that (most likely) took over galacta knight touches kirby in the intros and endings and he seems to be inmune, but even still, the butterfly has a deep interesting in kkirby. I would say that the ancients were similar to kirby if not the same species, if it wasn't that galacta knight, one of the only 3 kirby like characters, was the first to be absorbed. Knowing this, I would say the ancient developed a way to be inmune to this kinds of control (fecto and butterfly) and they gave it to kirby, maybe because he just found it or maybe he was/is one of them
All of leongar's speech was fecto forgo because the beast tribe only seem to speak through growls and the like. Elfilin acts as a go between for clawroline as my supporting info. So that would mean the only dialogue of leongar is all f86

Nin10doland, you probably won't see this but here's a fun fact, Clawroline is actually named Carol, but when Leon found Forgo, he changed his name to Leongar, he spoke a new language, which I think is English, Carol Couldn't understand him, so she went on a New bias, Clawroline and Created the Beast pack. She may not lead the Beast pack, but she did create it
I'm pretty sure the Leon and Carol capsule states that after getting controled Leon started speaking English and formed the Brutal Beast Pack so Leon is the one who made the Beast Pack, not Clawroline. Also the description says that Leon and Carol were leaders of the animal kingdom so there must have been a rule/pack before the beast pack we see now.

There are a lot of “Ultimate Life Forms” in gaming.
*talks about leongar hoping to gain the miraculous power for possible reunion* One slight problem with that part of the theory mate, Leongar was originally called Leon, as was Clawlorine being called something different. Leongar Talking was probably fecto as it need a way to communicate with the other natives. It is mentioned in the figurine featuring the two that Leon started talking in a language Clawlorine didn't understand when fecto took control. it was even slightly emphasized when, during the fight as you weaken him enough, Leons' eyes glow full purple, no pupil. the talk, now that I listen to this and feel it in my mind: Elfilis had strong psychic powers. it's what allowed it to manipulate things, as well as possible open portals. All in all, to the beast pack, re-fusing fecto and elfilin to Elfilis for the return grant of miraculous power, was a front.
We might get some more insight. I mean, we did with Void in Star Allies so who knows?
I have a theory: They made Fecto Elfilis merch, which they sold at the Lab Discovera gift shop. One such type with a video game where you played as the psychic alien, but because it was so terrible, it now is buried in Originull Wasteland.
It'd like to mention that they show a bit more connection to Fecto and Elfilin with the damage on their ears mirrored with our furry friend having a chunk of his ear missing and the other malicious half having its left ear melted or reverted to DNA a bit.
Small hint that many don't realise: Forgo speaks english (or whatever language is spoken on pop-star lol). The message of Lab Discovera speaks in english even before calibrating to fit Kirby's language, and we know that Leogar began speaking before Kirby even arrived. it's directly pointed out with the figurines that others members of the beast pack can't understand what's being said. I know this might be considered to just be to make the characters understand each other, but no other character besides Elfilin and Forgo ever speaks (not counting the waddle dees of course). So there wasn't any particular need of having them talk, and as we saw there is a translator nearby, so if it was simply for plot convinience they didn't need to left it unexplained.
I think fecto would of knew where he pulled Kirby from, but even if he didn't, it's established that he can invade minds, he obviously can't control the power house that is Kirby but stealing thoughts wouldn't be off the table
true but why use popstar for the workforce when any planet has populations worth of people, twice he's used popstar, and he knew kirby came from there as he pulled the waddle dees from there and that's when kirby arrived so that's proof that it wasn't just reading kirby's mind he used popstar, since he already knew that he was from there, and used popstar before knowing who kirby was
If there is one thing I can find from the game is that Fecto Elfilis, it is implied that it is on a conquest to invade and possibly wipe out everything in existence. His gacha figure mentions he is already to planning to another invasion. Who knows what he has done before this game.
