Seeing your short memoirs- they give me this togetherness feeling among even strangers. It's a tender and beautiful sight. I don't get that sense very often even from the place I was raised in ( US obvi ). It really shows that having traditions and culture that show us how to live independently and together- without any consumption or service from corporate interests- means everything to us as social animals. There are many days that I really see the deep ocean of materialistic consumption, and I do want to do everything to build traditions in my community, but your videos give me such an outstanding sense of relief and comfort in that "even if I or we may never get there, at least I can see how rewarding it can be!"

Watching this video makes me feel like i'm about to cry there. Feels like that's what real happiness should be, just eating a meal with your family. But my family disintegrated after my mother passed away.. i'm alone, making me focus on survival, money. I always enjoy listening to your grandmother talking and sharing a bit about some of her past like how she said she used to be able to go out and dig up the material that Penji was cutting up while grandmother was making the bracelet. Reminded me when my grama was still alive she would share stories and talk about some of her experiences growing up and other stuff from when she was younger. I always love it when seniors are willing to talk and share stories, and seeing the outdoor market really made me miss when I was able to go to the fresh market on weekends to before covid since all the vendors would always have some cool stuff and new foods to try.

Watching this video made me miss China even more. I’m crying now. Life there is convenient and I love going to their market and see how creative they are for making different kind of things made of bamboo, trees, or any kind. They are all into business and very hardworking person. Their trait that I wish o have, but know I’m trying by planting veggies and cooking for my family like her. ❤

I always enjoy listening to your grandmother talking and sharing a bit about some of her past like how she said she used to be able to go out and dig up the material that Penji was cutting up while grandmother was making the bracelet. Reminded me when my grama was still alive she would share stories and talk about some of her experiences growing up and other stuff from when she was younger. I always love it when seniors are willing to talk and share stories, and seeing the outdoor market really made me miss when I was able to go to the fresh market on weekends to before covid since all the vendors would always have some cool stuff and new foods to try.

童年時候常去杭州（老家），途徑嘉興便會下站台買粽子（嘉興粽子聞名江浙一帶）。最受歡迎是：鮮肉粽和豆沙粽（包括紅豆粽）。粽子款式與你們一樣，三角形。
90年代離滬赴港，粽子大不一樣了。港人偏愛蛋黃粽和鹼水粽等。好在這裡人口組成很雜，什麼省份的人，都有屬於自己的專賣店。端午節時會去上海人經營店舖買粽子，思鄉，過過癮。
