What three meats would you use?

Chicken, chicken, and more chicken 🐔

I'd use HOT ground sausage (use the drippings if not too much), my boned chicken stewed over the lowest flame for several hours with a strong chicken broth, and leftover BBQ brisket I portion out and freeze. Whoo-hoo! (I like to take four or five big ol' whole chickens--.99/lb at Walmart!--bring just to the boil and stew a few hours over the lowest gas glame with a very strong chicken boullion broth, then freeze for later. The dogs and cats are at my feet when I start boning the chicken for any "accidental" pieces I drop. Lol!)

    TIP for strong onions!
There is, and it's simple: soak them for 30 minutes in cold water. When onions are cut, says Crosby, their cells are damaged and an enzyme inside them, isoalliin, converts within seconds to a couple of pungent compounds, thiosulfinates and thiosolfonates. 🌻
    (Yes, it really works!) 🌺

I love making casseroles. I know it's looked upon as a Midwestern thing, but I've only been back there 3 times. Once as a child we visited my dad's mother in Illinois, once when I was a teenager when my dad's mother passed away, and the third time was when we went back to Kentucky because my sister had a baby and we went to Indiana.

I would leave out the ham. The meats I would use: Chicken, good Italian sausage and maybe some center-cut pork. Pre-cook the meats for sure. And definitely cut the recipe in half. Not sure which cheese I would use -- I love cheddar, but maybe not for this particular recipe. I would mix the chicken broth with the soup before mixing with the pasta. Looks good, Miss Paula! Thanks to you, Eddie and Theresa. God bless.
