3 hours of Tarkov for a casual gamer gives you 2 scav runs (maybe one good one) and a painful death while trying to complete a quest. Likely killed by someone trying to complete stupid Set Up quest in Customs these days.

dayz doesnt have shops and safe zone unless if it is modded. Some of us like tactigamer are immersed tarkov in deadside by extracting, looting, missions and beating SCAVS coz dayz only got zombies.

Gotta give a mention to Stalker Gamma too. Game has good progression, gunplay, companions, artifact hunting, etc.
Oh and it’s completely free.
Vanilla Anomaly works great too if playing on a low-end rig or just don't need all of those add-ons.
@@PeninsulaCity2024 you also don't need a computer science degree and free evening to install vanila anomaly. I don't know what it's like now, but the last time I tried Gamma I spent like 3 hours installing it

@@ivanzubov317 usually the install problems that happen with Gamma are when ModDB flags you as a bot or spammer. Those issues are pretty much resolved now and the install process is vastly more streamlined. Go for it again!

Awesome vid man. I agree, this game is perfect fit for those (me!) who wanted to play hardcore survival shooters like SCUM, DayZ, or Tarkov, but doesn't have the time to burn. Easy to just hop on in this game start shootin.

They are reworking the weapons and recoil and animations first. Also they wanna make it perfect so it takes time
I have this game since its released there is a little team who works on this game and they do so much work. Im playing this games time to time when its got an updte and now its a good game there thinks to do now ect..
Deadside is an extraction shooter just as much as The day before is a mmo :) A title that would better fit is "A game like DayZ for ultra casual player". Dont think you can compare Deadside with EFT except of the fact they both are looter shooter with survival elements! The best fit to compare Deadside with would be Arma Exile! Deadside is a fun game! Cool you give it some attention here... AI is brutal though (oneshotting you from miles)! Once the cars getting into the game I will definetaly come back and give it another shot!
Im stoked you're playing this! I love Deadside and hope Badpixel keeps the updates coming and that the community grows. Although I don't think its super casual especially when you get to the whole base raiding mechanics. If you have a base and die in PvP, you have a 10% chance to drop a base raid token. If the player decides to pick it up and activate it, they have an hour to raid your base. If they successfully penetrate your base defense, they can take everything. Like everything. Which can ruin days or weeks of your hard work. Also, armor plays a huge role in PvP. But yeah dude Deadside is rad! 🤙

Deadside really missed their shot. They need a UE5 upgrade and so darken the aesthetic a bit more like what their trailers were showing. It’s got good bones

game is nothing like Tarkov really at all but i get why you said it was like Tarkov, Tarkov is more popular then DayZ lmao, and i think most your audience is Tarkov enjoyers (like myself) I think you should however check out the "Escape from DayZ" servers they have on DayZ currently, think of it as Tarkov gameplay loop, with extractions and all that, but just one map persistent and on DayZ shite engine lmao (sorta what Gray Zone Warfare is gunna be)
also side nit pick at 21:43 EFT just finally figured out how to add vaulting and soon mantling, im sure these Devs will add it eventually too once they figure it out :)

Thank youuuu I really don't like tarkov cause I sit and wait 5min for match I spawn, and an absolute unit of a juggernaut suddenly was behind me all along and nukes me to take my godam spoiled mayonnaise I just looted from a randomass jacket on a kitchen....
I have played in the pass a lot of games like this, but this one is kind cool compared. The tarkov is really more insane, and is why i still playing it over a 1k hours LOL

I think Deadside would really benefit from an extraction feature, just make an offline base, and move the safe zones offline, or to a hub. Not being able to extract from the map takes away from the experience for me, don’t get me wrong, this is a great game, but I would prefer a real extraction feature.
I like this game but wish for some depth and progression system. Not like Tarkov, just a little bit of something.

I enjoy dead side. But this game is more like Dayz and arma if you ask me. Tarkov has its own play style. When you say you have to pretend it’s tarkov esk. I would say you should have compared this to dayz. Good video still I’m not hating. Just giving constructive criticism. Keep up the good work.
Marauders is good too. In my opinion, this is as much of an extraction shooter as DayZ. WarZone: DMZ is a good extraction shooter too. Good game, but it does get old. I am waiting a few more updates, before I drop back in and grind for food. That was the issue before, because before I played, you could buy food. Now, you have to loot and kill geese and probably the wolves they added and I think they added some other animals. I didn't like that they had to add boats. They wanted it so bad that when they ran into issues, they put their regular update on hold for months, to implement the boats. That is also devotion, so I will wait to see what future updates holds.
Wish it had more than 200 people on at once - id play more marauders

What game would you suggest for people who dont have any time for Tarkov but want to play something like it?
While the game is also similar to DayZ, the audiences aren't the same. So I titlel it for a specific audience.
@@TactiGamer I'd make the argument that there really isn't anything *like* Tarkov. The development of the game is centered around a unique, heavily scaling design. That is; intricate in-game economies, difficult quests, and since the recoil rework, the game arguably has the best gunplay around. The game's health / armour/ and ammo system, alone, is better than anything else you can find even through AAA devs. And when I say scaling, I mean that the reason the development of the game seems to take so long is because it's built from the ground up to be intricate and convoluted, which plays into its punishing feelings. Change one thing, affect 100 other things, etc. The lows in Tarkov define the highs to an extreme and wide reaching degree, and that is why we all play it.
I mean time is self equivalent, so if you can only play 1 hour of Tarkov in a week, you can only play 1 hour of another game anyway and I think the reason so many people are looking for a replacement is because you're more likely to experience 5 hours of lows before seeing 15 minutes of a high, but that means you cannot get that same hit anywhere else. So unless you find a Tarkov replica with *less* bugs, you're really only moving lower or laterally in terms of game quality.
My recommendation is to try out a game with a similar in-game economy, skill progression, and highs, but with a more consistent experience. Like, honestly, and as stupid as this sounds, you might actually enjoy casually playing a game like OSRS. I mean seriously, the game has all the same stuff, just repackaged in a neat "singleplayer MMO" experience. If you can learn to get past the old-school graphics and simple control scheme, you'd actually find the resource management and skill progression to be right up your alley.
On the other end of the spectrum, single player Tarkov? I think you said in another comment you already play, but if that doesn't do it for you, it seems like you need a first person shooter with all the progression systems in Tarkov, and a less punitive death system. Honestly I'm just writing all of this because the more I think about it the more I want to see that myself.

Deadside has its own issues of mainly lack luster content/clans ruling servers, not to mention grinding for gear is beyond tedious and lack luster compared to the other two games.
For a" Casual" these aren't the games to be going to unless you want a PVP oriented style of game and even then it's still DayZ, with all the modded servers there's plenty for anyone's taste.
Now for the true recommendation for a "Casual" whom wants something along these lines.
It'd be Project Zomboid or the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R" mod for free. Either are much better and around the same "genre" and does everything better.
Deadside could've been amazing yet the devs flopped on it dramatically.

Want to try ETF but i dont have time to learn everything and deal with the all solid players that know the game. This will solve my ish for this type of game until something new and good comes out. I don't think anyone will argue that Tarkov isn't flawed but the game is groundbreaking for fps otherwise it wouldnt of garnered such a huge audience. It's probably going to be the only game that goes to lengths it's going with mechanics and such to make the game feel authentic.
This game could be way better if they changed the gunplay, it feels worse then Mobile games

Heh. Deadside. Mixed bag. Garbage gunplay. As of a year or more ago. So much damn recoil. Bots were aim bot asf from miles away. There’s no hold breath on the scopes. Well. Devs claim there is. But that damn crosshair doesn’t stop moving. Devs lie bout that lol yea. Deadside might have potential. Love the fact I don’t need a time sink base and can just go to my stash in safe zone. Biggest thing deadside has going for it is it’s not a brain dead zombie survival game. It actually has bots that pose a threat atleast.

Odd to compare this to Tarkov... This game is basically DayZ with armed AI instead of zombies. Maybe you've never played DayZ. You should if you have time, it's just this but everything takes longer.

This doesnt really give any tarkov vibes. Ive play it a lot. Its like dayz with less steps and more pvp focus other story building with players. Its a good game with very little to do unfortunately.

Deadside has trashy gunplay and the AI is like some pro player that has aimbot .I refunded just because of those two issues.
What Makes tarkov great is the gun play. Having zero inertia so A/D strafing is instant turns me off instantly. I CANT STAND it in COD and I wont play it here. Next up, dolphin diving.

DayZ is better that Deadside. Bought both, played both, Dayz wins hands down. Deadside is just too empty. DayZ is not near as hardcore as people make it out to to be. People mistake detailed for hardcore. There are just a few basics that you need to know to have a good time. Building a fire is the main one. After that everything else can be learned on the fly.
Don't get me started on the trash that is Tarkov. They aim for realism and miss horribly. A raid lasts 40 minutes and I have to carry food and water? What? A trained contractor can't go 40 minutes without water/food? It's not time scaled because then we'd see day/night/weather changes.
No in game map? Huh? Scavs should know there area, because they are presumably from the area. The PMCs are pseudo military. They wouldn't go in with out knowing the operations area.
The devs make choices to make the game harder even though it flies in the face of the realism they are aiming for.
I do like the variable walking speed and variable crouch. That is something that other games should steal.
