I've played Tarkov since Alpha haven't been super into the last few wipes but my go to tip for new players is pick a map I usually recommend customs and only scav there and memorize where caches are and just run from cache to cache on scav & PMC. This makes you good money but also helps you learn at least 1 route across the map. You can then expand by hitting a cache and exploring the area around it. If you do this for every map over time you'll learn conflict areas and how to navigate maps.

I couldnt do anything, I loaded into several games and saw minimal success, but my failures were always marked with confusion and frustration and I can safely say that as much as I want to like this game, its just not for me.
Just started playing this late in a wipe I’m having a good time. Abt to buy my first junkbox my stash is filled with good armor I just take in my best stuff a lot keep my head down and just to the quests. If I want pvp 100% of the time I just load in with friends, I 10 million dollar worth stash just playing here and there casually
This is my first wipe and holy shit I'm getting my ass kicked, I've tried like 10 times to do this one quest in Streets and I got close to extracting once with the item
@@NotTheBeltAgain honestly i would say streets isn't that bad for a beginner player. plenty of ways to avoid pvp, good loot amount so you won't have to know all the spots to get anything good, and teaches you to be aware of your surroundings. But I think maybe should only go there after 200 hrs or so
@@Spartan114Kaz streets is just too cramped for a beginner. this is my first week aswell , havent touched anything other than labs , customs , factory n shoreline
Open the map with spawns before the game and try to have in mind what your first 5-10 minutes will look like depending on where you spawn. What's your route to objective, what are the closest spawns to you and their likely direction from the start. Example: you spawn in Concordia and immediately you need to be wary of the spawns across the park from Crash Site extract. Or you spawn in the museum close to Kamchatskaya scav extract or next to it - you need to immediately go and cross the street because of the spawns in the Expo that have the clean line of sight on the entire street. If you spawn and immediately go where you're safe and have control over the situation instead of wander around for 5 minutes and trying to pull up map and figure out where you are, the game will become much safer and easier for you. Getting good in Tarkov is way easier if you do your homework, but it's a fun and rewarding kind of homework. Often if you just want to extract or do a certain quest, the safest (but not necessarily the most fun) strategy is to stay put in safe place, and wait for lobby to get emptier. If you stay till the last 10 minutes on Streets, there will usually only be a few player scavs with you on the entire map.
I loved the type of gameplay... casual, some insecurities, good gunfights, excellent! I really wanted to play the game, but I think it's very expensive in my country. Nice video, bro!
Safest path to extract when at the bad rep cabin go wide left across the street, behind new gas, around radio tower all the way to extract at end of map. Very rarely encounter anyone there after the first 5 min of a raid
I don't remember what the patch was called, it was quite a while ago, but all i remember is that the vector got added in the next patch, but that was the most fun I ever had playing a game EVER and I think in BSG's efforts to execute their vision they stumbled upon a much better product that was just the right amount of hard and realistic while being a lot more fun and accessible to the everyday person who is an adult with a job and possibly even a family (which is the majority of people who play or at least did play) and not just dudes who verbally accost anyone who wants to be able to play casually and streamers which is the current playerbase
12:30 so we got game with this crazy weapon system and good gunplay, and we don't want to engage is shootouts because of survival mechanics and hoarding incentive
I have roughly 1k hours and still get the same rush as when I did back when I first started. This game is just something else. Regardless of how buggy it may be, the adrenaline it gives you can’t be found in any other game. I can feel my heartbeat going fast after every encounter in Tarkov, regardless how small, while in PUBG for example, I can go into fights 1v10 and not feel a thing.
Truth is if you are a casual you will always be behind. There is no way to learn the maps safe that also feels rewarding. Best way to learn would probably be SPT
Nothing worst than getting loot you REALLY need onlu to realize the extract you trailed half the map for is closed. The realization that the next extract is across the map hurts everytime.
1-2 secs after you pull the item out of the grizzly you are full healed on that body part, not bleeds or fractures though you have to finish the whole animation.
The only way to get good in EFT or enjoy it is if you put in a lot of hours. Simply spawning in a map not knowing where the extract points are is pointless. You will only survive if you look at guides and other stuff beforehand
I loved my first 50 hours of tarkov more than everything after, the feeling to explore and navigate the maps and trying to stay alive was incredible. At tier3 i feel like it gets grindy and knowing the mapsgives me the routine to perform better but destroys the thrill. So i think its a great game for casual players, its just a niche game and thats a good thing
i know im 3 months late to this video, but can we talk about how that lvl 40 dude, is doing setup ? like a very early game quest ? that you get on lvl 18 ?

The truth is learning the game is the most fun for me. the learning phase is the most exciting and adrenaline gut wretching endopamine kicker. haha. i mean its the most memorable parts of a game, the exp u gain and knowledge to go the developing phase where you improve your tactics, planning and skills. next is playing around like trying bunnch of stuffs just messin around. and i think thats one of the selling points of tarkov its one of those games that will give it to you bcuz you have freedom in the game. its so good to be young and have so much time. thats tarkov for me. oh the learning phase is the longest.
i love how you compared EFT with Hunt both are kinda the same, but they both got there own ambience. In my opinion hunt is more chill than EFT but both are amazing games
Holy crap. You play almost exactly like me, only, you can actually hit stuff, AND is not afraid of engaging in firefights. You are LEAGUES better then me, and yet, no map knowledge at all. Damn. To be fair, I only play customs and factory, and even then only use about half of the map
I have never seen your channel before but just had it recommended to me, pretty nice editing, was fun to watch. I personally hit lvl51 recently and am around 5 quests from getting Kappa for my 2nd time. If you want legitimate advice or help I would be happy to. You can definitely be a lot better with some small changes to your gameplay.
You can turn a setting to show your hotbar on the screen and your player's health its alot easier to see fast what u need to fix and what to press to heal or switch guns
i havent left ground zero the whole wipe i have studied every inch of this map and have become the master ever since then im dropping giga chads every raid and am having lots of fun
The having to use the internet for a map instead of there just being an all the time in game map was a huge turn off for me as a newer player trying to learn it. Blundering around trying to figure out where I was and to find the extracts was frustrating.
I just started Tarkov a few days ago just before the wipe. I'm lucky to have decent aim, a lot of IRL gun knowledge and a lot of CQB knowledge. What I was not prepared for with Tarkov was how much headshots matter and I had zero knowledge of extraction locations. So for the first few days I was buying AKs and body armor for dirt cheap with my buddy, slaughtering SCAVs and mag dumping players on Factory, and running around like a headless chicken for a seeming fairy tale of this so called extraction. I had some amazing adrenaline moments where hordes of enemies would approach me while I genuinely shook in fear and excitement at the possibility of another firefight, when all i wanted to do was find out how to get out. I NEVER figured it out on my own, always running out of time or dying with no idea where to go. I used to study game wikis and optimize the fun away. I tried to change that and stopped doing so much research a few years ago and really enjoyed figuring things out on my own. After the wipe everything was expensive and I couldn't afford to not extract and adrenaline excitement turned into frustration. I tried Shoreline with my friend and we could only figure out the Tunnel exit and the pier. Unfortunately, enemies were camping the dock so I went across the map to try path to lighthouse as my buddy tried directing me in the dark. I walked through a road flanked by minefields to what I thought was the exit and was very suspiciously sniped. I finally gave up and researched and discovered invisible snipers kill you when you exit the in play zone. Finally i had to research extractions.
Like the video man, I'm new to Tarkov (lvl 5) and keep dying in the raids and getting 0 exp lol, will get there eventually as I've been doing customs alot to master the map. What's the gun loadout you are rocking? something I will try when I can as well, assuming I need lvl 15 for the market to get the stuff?
I've played almost exclusively solo this wipe. I run night raids and find somewhere to wait tactically the first 10 minutes of the raid. I don't have a ton of free time to play this wipe but I'm almost level 26 now. I am not a giga chad wiping lobbies so I have to play slow and carefully.
Quick tip for anyone new starting the game. people will tell you lots of Different "starter" kits and things like that. But for me I always will suggest the PPSH as a classic starter. while you can't mod out your gun it has one of the best features in the game. no matter the durability it does not jam. means you can beat the hell out of it if you manage to survive long enough and that way you aren't constantly worried about your gun jamming on you mid combat. its a great beginner gun. Low recoil and fast fire rate. 35 round mags and the pervious no jamming^ yes against a chad it won't likely kill them, but going for the legs (the classic tarky leg meta) or letting them by you to wait for easier prey are both great options to using it. best of luck!
Very cool to watch your Tarkov journey, lil tip try to use the Free look so you can raise your field awarenesses. Also another great tip, don't hesitate to insure your gear (with prapor) you'll save lots of money and get your stuff back in a good rate, trust me. This will also allow you to dump your gear (say swap some headsets for example) and not get so much encumbered and overloaded.
Even with 1500hours in Tarkov I still consider myself a casual player -- I've played since the beginning but typically take 2-3 wipes off. The recoil and vaulting changes brought me back this wipe. I love this game because there's always something to learn but frankly its hard to make it a main game when it wipes so often.
that bunker you walked into to check if it was an extract is zb-011. you have to turn power on, and if the light is on above the inside door than you can take it. hit or miss extract tho just like old gas
nope, no power for that one, its hit or miss like you said, same as old gas, smugglers cabin, etc. The power turns on the ZB extract under fortress, which you still need a key that costs a couple hundred thousand roubles on the flea and a somewhat recent catch made it 20 uses. Same key you can unlock the building in front of new gas station with, its actually called “factory exit key” and is probably always expensive bc it gives you 2 extra exfils on factory. Anyway that other zb extract is just past the fence very close to the one thats always open. People with high enough strength used to use it as a ramp to jump the fence and not have to walk around to the main path.
tarkov is hard only if you are new to the game... used to be afraid as well but now the more i play the more easy it gets and actually not that bad as youtubers says

Abt to buy my first junkbox my stash is filled with good armor I just take in my best stuff a lot keep my head down and just to the quests. If I want pvp 100% of the time I just load in with friends, I 10 million dollar worth stash just playing here and there casually
Bro loading into a sav run with gpu and low rep is wild
This is my first wipe and holy shit I'm getting my ass kicked, I've tried like 10 times to do this one quest in Streets and I got close to extracting once with the item
Do not play streets. As a new player, avoid streets at all cost. It will only cause frustration and for little benefit
I’ve died 10 times trying to get Jagers note on woods
I loved the type of gameplay... casual, some insecurities, good gunfights, excellent! I really wanted to play the game, but I think it's very expensive in my country. Nice video, bro!
awesome to see new players getting into the game! youre well along your way to your chadhood.
1:37 “??????”-Translation: “I GOT THAT DOG IN MEH!!”
12:30 so we got game with this crazy weapon system and good gunplay, and we don't want to engage is shootouts because of survival mechanics and hoarding incentive
You are getting better tactigamer im on 2k hours now and still feel the rush of a massive fight i play solo and duo and its so much fun
Holy crap, someone who uses mouse acceleration? Mad lad right there.
That wasn't the manhole extract? You can't have backpacks in that extract.
As this is my first wipe I think the flea market really does open up so many avenues as a casual player
With that walter sight if you alt right click to the T reticle it has a sharper smaller middle dot for that long range scav blasting.
i know im 3 months late to this video, but can we talk about how that lvl 40 dude, is doing setup ? like a very early game quest ? that you get on lvl 18 ?
imagine being the guy that pays 250 dollars for a super deluxe edition of a game only to constantly get wiped by cheaters, and the devs don't care at all.
What are you talking about? they ban tens of thousands of players for cheating
That’s what pve is for lmao
@@Adamfromthe9yes after thousands of game time already. VeryBadScav always catches cheaters with at least 1000hrs of playtime and that's only because they are streamers. Imagine the cheaters who don't stream.
@@Adamfromthe9 the ban waves are followed by sales lmao, their game lives on a cheater economy.
@@lmao.3661 that’s fair..
I'm a new player too, a tip is to show your health condition at all times instead of hiding/autohide it, that way it's easier to see if ur hit and need healing.
honestly the best tip i can give to new players is to have your hold breath bind to the same button you use to scope in as it help greatly with first shot accuracy as you may forget to do that in the heat of the moment
yap first scav raid I ever done and I found a streets of tarkov apartment 13 marked key and almost threw it away for a battery or something because I was that new
The truth is learning the game is the most fun for me. the learning phase is the most exciting and adrenaline gut wretching endopamine kicker. haha. i mean its the most memorable parts of a game, the exp u gain and knowledge to go the developing phase where you improve your tactics, planning and skills. next is playing around like trying bunnch of stuffs just messin around. and i think thats one of the selling points of tarkov its one of those games that will give it to you bcuz you have freedom in the game. its so good to be young and have so much time. thats tarkov for me. oh the learning phase is the longest.
I take a step, start checking my spawn location, and someone heard me already and kills me 40 seconds into the match. What exp are you talking about.
@@c4scompsmith fun right.
i love how you compared EFT with Hunt both are kinda the same, but they both got there own ambience. In my opinion hunt is more chill than EFT but both are amazing games
“I bought some kits to practice pvp: cuts to him using a mounted gun”
Holy crap. You play almost exactly like me, only, you can actually hit stuff, AND is not afraid of engaging in firefights. You are LEAGUES better then me, and yet, no map knowledge at all. Damn. To be fair, I only play customs and factory, and even then only use about half of the map
Great video as usual. Love your narrations
17:20 it's an exit zb-1012 but as the other one it's deactivated need light over bunker on.
And now, with today's updates, oh boy...
You can turn a setting to show your hotbar on the screen and your player's health its alot easier to see fast what u need to fix and what to press to heal or switch guns
i havent left ground zero the whole wipe
i have studied every inch of this map and have become the master
ever since then im dropping giga chads every raid and am having lots of fun
The having to use the internet for a map instead of there just being an all the time in game map was a huge turn off for me as a newer player trying to learn it. Blundering around trying to figure out where I was and to find the extracts was frustrating.
Whats the song playing at 18:10 ?
Game doesn't open up since you started loosing the found in raid status on items when you die.
Don’t die
I've done 6wipes now. I'm casual af. Soo I opted out for the single player mod.and I love it.
the first time i played tarkov i thought it would be like the tarkov raid movie they made
Like the video man, I'm new to Tarkov (lvl 5) and keep dying in the raids and getting 0 exp lol, will get there eventually as I've been doing customs alot to master the map.
What's the gun loadout you are rocking? something I will try when I can as well, assuming I need lvl 15 for the market to get the stuff?
I’ve had plenty of land cards but never had a GPU on scav spawn
it is simple as this: single player tarkov mod
no one would play that and there already is a single player mod which people mod and add stuff to which is hella boring unless u like fighting only ai
@@IDFCClan thousand of people playing the mod at this very moment can prove you are wrong
@@IDFCClannah u are dead wrong a lot of people have started playing SPT due to cheating problems in EFT
😂😂😂.... And also I've been using outside software to help with my headshots. But I'm not cheating!
That's really funny how that extremely bad red dot sight by Walther is still sneaking its way into games.
Honestly tarkov is about the slow game I’ve noticed when I take things slow and move to fights slowly I catch more players off guard than rushing
At 17:13 the path you took is an extract as well the light above it wasnt on so you couldnt take it is all its ZB-12
to be honest, if all extracts were always available i think it would decrease exfil camping and perhaps make players a bit happier overall
Tarkov is pain
As a casual player, you should play the Singleplayer mod
Not pressing *O* to see your exits is even below casual level.
Playing against good players is hard enough but the hacks are just miserable.
1:04 I’m loving it already
that bunker you walked into to check if it was an extract is zb-011. you have to turn power on, and if the light is on above the inside door than you can take it. hit or miss extract tho just like old gas
nope, no power for that one, its hit or miss like you said, same as old gas, smugglers cabin, etc.
Do you think it's worth just buying straight into the game paying the $250 or just buy the entry fee and just play and have fun.
Really loving the Tarkov content brother.
ive played 20 matches and havent come across a single real player.
tarkov is hard only if you are new to the game... used to be afraid as well but now the more i play the more easy it gets and actually not that bad as youtubers says
Until the desync and the cheaters get you
@@Capdub actually got killed by a cheater today and aswell spawned dead after a connection issue 😂😂😂
thanks for the great Tarkov content. It reminds me from when I forst started years ago. The same feelings and how you fuck up in stressful times. :D greeting from Denmark :)
I loved tarkov so much when I was 22 and could just play all day. I started struggling 5-6 wipes in with having a girlfriend and a more demanding job. Now I don’t even want to play, while it’s the only game I wanna play. PVE has saved my interest but it won’t last. I miss tarkov
Damn if only you had a in game map to tell you where your extracts are and where you are on the ma0
Learning the maps and dealing with inertia are my biggest issues. Knowing dayz main maps like my hometown map me lazy to have to learn these little maps and extracts points. Especially with all the talk of hackers in every match. The few raids I’ve extracted from have been pretty cool! But the one taps 4 second after I spawn in a raid have been ridiculous 🤣😢😂
Had the game a year, tried to play it 3 or 4 times. Its just way hard to get into if your not playing everyday
U can buy the factory emergency exit key for zb-13 now, it’s under fortress u have to go to warehouse 4 and cut on power to access
Don't hip fire as much, even with a laser. When they changed the recoil they made hip fire worse.
You should set your health display to „show always“. You ran around with a damaged leg for like the entire raid without paying attention to it
