Started the wipe and I’m liking it. Played around in a single player practice on the new map running around vaulting on things. There are a lot of places where you can abuse the vaulting but I still think it’s a good change
So cool to see you in Tarkov man, for me even before this patch this is one the best games ever, the feeling, the satisfaction when accomplishing a goal or just getting a single kill it's unmatched. Are you playing EFT Arena also?

Full auto of what caliber? Up to assault rifles caliber (5.56) full auto is definitely viable in fairly close encounters as long as you control it (and in game you control it with the mouse). It's only battle rifles that are really bad in full auto.@@TheUltimateHacker007
As someone who absolutely adores Tarkov and has hit max traders every wipe I've played, it's great to see that not only do people who had a rough time with the game previously have much more interest in it now, but that experienced players who liked how it was are ALSO REALLY enjoying it. I didn't think BSG could really please everyone, but it seems they've gotten closer than they ever have with this patch.
I think you guys are nuts. Im casual and tried to play this wipe and I’ve had nothing but ultra sweats camping objectives and head face after head eyes after top of the head again and again and again. You could tell me to get gud, but I already know I’m shit and I don’t think that’s possible outside of 1000s of hours put into the game.
@@ryanmitchell4044 I can bet that your problem is running from spawn instantly to complete objectives. Best way to complete quests at start is to run night raids and wait some time before moving from spawn. This way you will avoid most people and when it's 20 minutes to raid end most quests doors will be open as well. Tarkov is slower game then most people realise :)
@@ryanmitchell4044 casual play can be tough but like the pepe guy says, you should take your time when trying to get those early wipe quests done because pretty much everyone has the same objectives. if you just take it slow you'll make it!
@@rarestpepe8835 that’s a weird assumption, I waited in the bushes at customs for 20 minutes for these people to leave the objective. The last thing I’m doing is just B lining it into an objective, but they weren’t ever planning on leaving they were there for me. Eventually got to the point I was starving to death. Got up knew there was a player somewhere inside the tree in front of me, but that didn’t matter. Head face. I couldn’t see him at all staring right at his muzzle flash, but he saw me like I was standing in an open field. One of countless times.
THANK YOU!!!!!!! I stopped playing Tarkov because I don't have a lot of time to sink into Tarkov since I work out of state. An them implementing this system allows me to actually play the Game with my hands turning into a Sweat Factory
Facts, ive been playing since 2018 but never have gotten past lvl 20ish in a wipe and i still feel like a noob. Quiting before unlocking the flea is like quitting in the tutorial lol
theres a new game coming out called grey zone warfare, should be what youre looking for. Its like ghost recon wildlands but more realistic, first person, and pvp as well.
im the high level, hour sink player that you mentioned, and this update is absolutely gorgeous for everyone. early level progression is more fun than its ever been, and my friends who are pretty casual about playing tarkov have been on all the time, loving every second. the uptick in new players is EXTREMELY noticeable, and i love voiping and helping out the new guys. matching times are also great, as in the past youd be stuck in 8 minute queues on populated servers, but now i average 2-3 minute matching times. im really excited for the future of tarkov now, because it seemed to look pretty dull the past few months prior to this release.
Yeah same here 8k hours and counting already level 25 and I love seeing all these new players. Glad to see the casuals coming in (free kills) and seeing more people enjoy this beautiful game
You are speaking out of my soul bro. Have had exactly the same experience as you and I am sooooo happy now. I can finally make use of my cs:go fps games aim
I never really undestood the recoil from previous patches, so much for your character being a PMC eh... I'm really enjoying this wipe so far, more so than other ones.
Having high recoil made sense for the Scavs at least, because they are meant to be just regular people who's training might be at best, a half-remembered conscription where they didn't learn shit.
@@TripleAlfafa the main problem wasn't the high recoil (though that was one of them), it was how the recoil handled. the rifles or any other gun with a stock would have insane muzzle flip and just bounced around, which is physically impossible when firing a stocked firearm. it's meant to recoil into your shoulder and upwards, as depicted with the new recoil.
its because the game is an RPG rather than just a shooter so you're expected to get better at skills through use, leveling and getting better attachments. good in theory but just not implemented well. so many people see it as just a hard shooter and forget its closer to an MMO-RPG grind than other shooters out there. but the complaint is the same, the recoil sucked hard and didn't make sense lore wise, as you said with the whole trained PMC idea. this is the first wipe where ive hit flea and level 2 traders in 3 days flat where before it took me weeks. i finally feel like i can actually fight and win.
Im so happy that my fps skills actually play a role from lvl 1. Was hard to push through before knowing some high lvl dude had no recoil while my gun would fly out of my hands
I'd very much enjoy hour long videos of your journey in tarkov tacti. It'd be very entertaining to watch you get slowly better and better, and learn which meds heal heavy bleeds :)
Considering guns actually feel like shooting guns in other FPS games now, I enjoy it a lot more. Semi auto and short bursts have been working wonders for me with pretty much bare bone, stock guns. As someone who can’t no life the game but has decent FPS skills, as long as I can get decent ammo now, even stock guns are useable to kill chads.
Good stuff, I'm happy that this patch has opened the game up to you and other people like you. It's a great thing. When Tarkov is good, there's no other game like it and this patch has introduced a lot of good.
No. It's a “crabs in a bucket” map. Need to reduce the number of PMCs, reduce the number and pace of scav spawns, and open up at least 2 routes in and out of every quest POI. As is, the quests funnel everyone together and only the survivor Might get out to ding the quest complete. Maybe.
I'm a casual player, have had Tarkov for 1.5 years but haven't played it much after a while. I tried it now, went into Ground Zero, and I can't do shit on that map. I never survived in 10 raids... I can't play this game anymore. I like the maps, but there's too much details for me to win a fight. I only play Arena.
@@elgringofeo9348same on the very off chance I win a fight in this game it almost certainly comes down to pure luck. I can be aiming right at someone and not hit them at all and for them it’s like my character is one big head and eyes.
@@ryanmitchell4044 yeah gunfights feel off for me in eft in a way ive never seen before, idk if its desync or whatnot but ive generally am fine in any other game, im not great but im decent, its always felt off
@@elgringofeo9348 @ryanmitchell4044 what you are saying is exactly how i experienced this game for multiple wipes until i learned the following which totally transformed the game for me: 1. there is always desync: if you wait for the person to come around the corner before shooting, that person is actually ahead and sees you first. you must always push, not react, charging around the corner will give you the lag advantage. 2. ammo ammo ammo ammo: what comes out of the gun is more important than any gun or armour. a worn out m4 from a scav with good ammo is more deadly than a 3000 000 rouble HK416 build with weak ammo. using low grade ammo against enemies with even cheap armour who has good ammo puts you at a disadvantage because you have to hit him with 10-15 rounds because your low grade ammo is being absorbed by their armour, while it only take like 3-4 of their good ammo to blast through your armour and kill you first. the above 2 points are why you feel like you are getting killed instantly while you gun does nothing: tis because you are lagging behind the enemy and you are hitting him but your weak bullets does not kill whilst their good ammo kills you first. 3. full auto is the name of the game: there is no single shot nothing if its an assaults rifle or smg. you go out of your way to get the best ammo. if you got weak rounds aim for the thighs or if you got armour piercing rounds aim center mass then MAG DUMP until the enemy falls over. the trick is to control the recoil and keep moving while hitting the target . no crouching or prone single shot pew pew. its drrrrrrr down sight whilst strafing left or right. 4. he ain't dead until you see his stash. 5. there is always another enemy, double check before looting. 6. don't play on the standard edition, minimum prepare for escape edition- the standard stash is just way too small in the beginning. having a larger stash (and secure container) for quest items and gear before unlocking the flea is like pay to win.
It might be easier now for new players but let me tell you I still encountered that Tarkvos arcade bullet sponge moment emptying whole mag of 5.56 into player not killing him. I did shot guy in the head and when he survived that I fired entire burst into him and he still survived. I might be used to more realistic shooters like Arma or Insurgency but I think Tarkov still could move more to realism away from the arcade feel
Only issue are there are still a whole lot of cheaters and a lot of my friends who I shilled this game out to loved it but have trouble telling a cheater from a regular players, so they stopped playing :/
Lets not forget about the hackers and all the cheaters, once you are past lvl 15 you are going to get clapped very frequently by them... just look at Shroud's experience, he has the aiming reaction and skill of a Cobra-Cat hybrid, yet gets clapped by hackers and once he spots them, he just runs for 10 minutes straight.
I love this! I liked playing Tarkov in early 2023 but getting killed by No-Lifers ruined the experience for me so i'm glad i can enjoy the game and not be a ultimate gamer
The fact recoil is manageable this wipe and that armor hitboxes have been reworked 100% you can be casual and still have a fighting chance. The new hitboxes to the armpit/neck (usually unprotected) are a gamechange for everyone
I am a new player, but I've learned a lot in this first month. I just unlocked Flea, which is great. But before I unlocked it, Fence was my best friend. He sells T4 armor often, ammo that penetrates for cheap, and weapons for all tastes. Really nice tbh.
Problem is the game keeps getting more and more grindy after every wipe, especially now that more stuff than ever is locked behind crafting which is a mechanic that only rewards those who spend a lot of time playing to maximize the workbench. Oh, and it's even worse if you don't own the EOD since the game is designed on purpose to be frustrating and pushing you into buying it, which could be fine if you kept the hideout progress, but it becomes stupidly boring when you're forced to do it every single wipe.
I don't like quests in Tarkov. I like how maps are designed with a lot of details but that's problem where players see me and I can't see them. That's why I quit Tarkov.
Ye grinding up hideout becomes really tedious, and I played a lot of arena so I missed the beginning of the wipe, and now it kinda feels pointless cuz I can't possibly keep up with all the chads, I think im gonna stay with arena this wipe.
A step to the right direction, but it's not enough. The main problem is that most people join teams. We need 2 different modes, one with teams and one solo.
Ground Zero is an illusion of space, it's actually quite a tight map so you're going to run into people way more often than you think, and being a noob/starter map, as a solo scav / PMC expect trigger happy scaredy scav players who shoot other scavs and pistol/smg PMC solos/duos (cause of the quests). As well as the occasional lvl ~10-15 group camping "snipey" spots on 1st/2nd building floors.
I agree that a lot has improved with this patch. But cheaters and desync as well as bush campers are still here. So I doubt that the honeymoon phase will last very long. People are as always overexited because they got new toys so to speak. This will subside once they get shit on enough in a week or two.
As someone with an unhealthy amount of hours in Tarkov, I am so stoked for more players getting into the game again! Tarkov is in its best state it has ever been in right now!
Love to finally may have chance to survive. Does the thing that matches people under 15 level only works in this specific map? FOUND IT : (PATCH NOTES) - The location is intended for beginner players from level 1 to 20; - PMCs of higher levels (20+) will not be able to access the location; - Scavs will have access to the location at any player level; - New starter quests have been added to the location;
I am a little similar. I've played Tarkov for a while now, since the patch before the shoreline release patch. And there was only one time where I was good at the game and it was the only time I unlocked the flee and it was around when Labs came out. And after that I was back to trash. But I am glad the game is getting better : )
You mean the one way to reliably get just about anything you want? The traders don’t offer shit, and the shit they do offer is, well, shit. I like being able to kit out a weapon to my satisfaction without having to spend dozens of hours questing (punching myself in the crotch) to get rep
In your tarkov, the casual playerbase will have absolutely no chance against the streamers/no lifes who play 7 hours a day due to gear inequality being through the roof. Any altercation to item rarity and loot spawns has only ever been in favor of the extreme players, since their hours mitigate the rarity compared to everybody else. We have already seen this with the flea-hightier ammo changes. These players still run 5a1/995 every raid, yet nobody else can get their hands on even 6a1. The flea market helps balance this.
The snowball effect in tarkov is HARD! Gear and especially ammo makes such a huge difference, that you barely stand a chance without leveling the traders. As someone that did all the quests for numerous wipes, i dont want to quest anymore. Means i sadly cant play tarkov no more, but its fair. Hope yall r havin fun with it🎉
Nah, you still can buy good medicine, decent armor, mid and some high tier weapon with acceptable ammo, grenades, backpacks, armored masks (even META) and so much other stuff just from the Flea. You need to lvl up the traders only for better prices, 5+ armor plates and some limited things like RPD, Spear, KS-23, AXMC. Now skill is more important than raw price of equipment on a PMC.
@@remix2822 you dont need armor this wipe cause you will still die from head throat most of the time with current recoil control and any shitty bullet will penetrate that class 3 throat protection :D I also disagree with skill is more important now then before, I was smashing those geared bois on shoreline resort / interchange and customs running in just tactec and as val / sa-58 previous wipes and i didnt even need to make meta val, just any ergo grip in front with laser cause aiming down the sight in this game doesnt reward you at close-mid distance, people werent that afraid to push previous wipes, now its just waiting game when they will hear your steps, not even try to crab walk, people will just sit in 1 spot for 20 minutes afraid to peak and since there is little to no recoil and extra too many hitboxes if you get ambushed by such rat you wont survive this time because you will get head throat or armpit hit, spraying with svd / shotguns and other 762 calibers feels like shooting a bb gun, now game is not rewarding for those who spend many hours playing it, no point in playing 6-8 h daily, if you remember how it was in alpha tarkov(if u had a chance to experience it) fights in my opinion were much better in alpha cause of very bad recoil that forced people to push each other at close distance (there was no face hitbox back then btw, headshot was just a headshot), fights were longer and they felt in my opinion more rewarding, even when you got that shitty loot from the enemy (cause there was little content in game) the feeling after won fight was really good and there were so many 4-5 man squads all the time, fun times
i used to love tarkov. you're right about it basically needing your life in order to be competitive at all my problems with tarkov now are, i just can't use headphones. with wife and 3 kids and something always needing my attention, i cannot play any game which requires headphones or cannot be paused. just the way it is now.
Ok hear me out for ppl starting their first wipe. This is my 3rd wipe. Each time the wipe happens I always get discouraged to play because I worked so hard to get high level. I always started the wipe late usually between 1-2 months. I actually enjoy it because there is not as much competition for the common quests. Yeah you run into ppl with gear but they aren't sitting there camping a quest like they do at the start of wipe. This wipe is the first wipe that I started day 1. I find that you don't get as much help if you are new. People are scrounging for any gear they can get. Where if you start wipe late and run into a chad one he doesn't want your trash gear and two low level dog tags are useless.
I really hope they expand the level based match making to the entire game somehow. What I would really want though is some kind of progression based matchmaking. They have said that there will be storyline missions to progress through the game and actually "Escape" from Tarkov, so it would make sense to group players by where they are in the story. You could have maps unlock as you progress and also multiple versions of each map. Probably only 2 for each map; one without the boss and one with. That way the game would get progressively more difficult as you move towards the end of the story.
I was once in a similar situation with tarkov. I didn’t have the patience to grind to be better for several wipes. I still adored the game, but it was a love hate. I wanted to be good at it so bad but I couldn’t get over that hump. I finally sat down one wipe and just told myself to play and finally got better. Racked up 1000hrs since 2021. So glad I did that because no game gives me the same feeling as tarkov. The new additions of this wipe only solidify that live for this game more. I’m excited to see what BSG does next.
I was an early adopter of Tarkov. Introduced my friend to the game for my second wipe and we enjoyed it a lot. I then quit early into the next wipe due to the many issues with playing as a "casual" while he kept playing for many many wipes. It was always kinda annoying because the concept was so good, I liked the hardcore elements etc. but it got to a point where it didn't feel hardcore, rather a literal job to keep up. I think this is a step in the right direction to make sure that the game mechanics are implemented in a way that feels hardcore and feels Tarkov, but also doesn't leave the game borderline unplayable for people who can't dedicate their life to grinding it. I always loved the hardcore elements and would never want it to change (i'd go play warzone or DMZ if I wanted that), so I am glad that they're now finding a way to maintain that hardcore feeling while fixing a lot of the issues that came with that. Definitely gonna have to redownload and give it another chance.
They need to add a gps or something that will guide you to extracts. I get lost all the time. I don’t have the time to learn all the extracts and it really sucks getting loot and losing it because you don’t know where you are
Once you get to 15 and get the flea it becomes more manageable but still, waiting 5+ minutes for a game where you can potentially die within the first 5 minutes is overboard
The big problem of tarkov to me is the price. Triple A games from 2017 (same year of tarkov) cost here in italy around 20 euros, while tarkov is still above 60 euros which is a damn lot here. I know "it's still a early access" but damn, it's been an early access for like 7 years already
Bro Tarkov is still so hard yet rewarding with so much pain involved. even with all the changes i hope you stay as optimistic as you are in this video. This game isnt for everyone but if youre enjoying it im happy. ive wanted you to make tarkov content for years. Keep it up! -5000hour tarkov rat
One of my major gripes was the getting left behind thing which is good they kind of look at. My other one is the shoot on sight issues. Why tf are mercs on the same side killing each other. Dropping into a match and having EVERY player as an enemy is a bit ridiculous. Especially when you mix in the quests that you have to complete.
Early wipe is fun times. There is always someone below you in the food chain and you can get into many fights and win. Also with the new recoil the fights are much less RNG. I do expect late wipe to be pretty much the same though. Most of the timmies quit and you are left with serious gamers who rule the maps. But early wipe is still fun.
That's true, but I've not felt so refreshed at the start of the wipe ever, even my first wipe felt so much more unfun compared to this one, and I was on the verge of skipping this wipe. Hopefully with all the additions and balances there's more longevity throughout the wipe.
My main issue is still that I don't like the quest system, and I don't like not having a map forcing you to memorize everything to even just find exits. If they made the extractions marked, simplified the ammo types and made the quests less cancer I think i would LOVE tarkov!
bro, I have owned Tarkov since August 2016. Yet I have only 250hrs in game. All 200 hrs are in this patch. It is a completely new feel. I absolutely love it. I hit my flea for my 1st time, I am lvl 21 my highest ever and I am a questing fucking freak. I LOVE IT NOW. So amazing how very basic changing completely turned a game around. I even grabbed two new noobs to get the game and play with me and they are loving it.
Thanks for this vid, never got into tarkov but my friends were recently asking me to play it after this update, but didnt go into why it was better - only touched on the recoil. The fact ground zero is level capped makes me much more inclined to want to try raids vs getting beamed by some really good player. Great vid!
its deff getting better but there are still so much improvements to be made, like a hidden elo maybe. Make sure that sol queuers dont end up in raids with fully chadded squads. Nut yeah the recoil and armor changes makes hell of a difference, but once you leave ground zero and are behind the curve its back to good old getting stomped.
I highly recommend hell let loose! Not enough streamers cover such an amazing game. The big reason being traditional streaming doesn't work for it but if you clip or fast forward your gameplay I'm sure anyone could come up with some amazing content and the game itself is hella fun. Really really recommend considering it
well the new armor system is more realistic but imo it gives more desparity because hard plates completely nullify damage meaning that if you shoot someone with shit ammo you cant just brute force your way trough his armor dealing blunt damage as it was the case before so you rely on lucky shots between gaps of armor, and leg meta the great equalizer has also been nerfed to shit

I've played early wipe several different times and always bounce off after a couple days. This wipe has been the most invested I've ever been in a single wipe.
thats good to hear, last thing i want them to implement is no wipe so i can finally start enjoying missions without them killing my progress at 1/3. After second wipe i gave up and decided to wait for full version, but MAYBE ill give it another try now...
My biggest current Gripe is that you have to learn the maps. or get a secondary screen with a map to see where the exfil is. Like I get its a hardcore shooter, and im all for that. But the amount of time I join games and my biggest anxiety is knowing wherew to exit at is my biggest annoyance. I bet the comment will get a lot of disagreements, but i just dont see how a simple waypoint marker would do any harm. In fact I would learn the map better that way and would barely use it after. for anyone who has played Ghosts of Tabor, which is literally a tarkov clone, but in VR, would know how good this feature is.
I love newbie areas in games there’s a charm to it, I remember playing the trial version of battlefield 2 on the smaller map. Was actually more fun than when I bought the full game
The mounted grenade launcher on ground zero neds to be removed, or changed to be an mg. i myself am very guilty of using it whenever i can, ive killed full squads, and many players i didnt even know were there just by spraying the map with it. its completely broken and op
I bought the game this wipe and heard so much regarding how good it got for newer players, yet every run i tried so far i died right at the beginning or got tarkov'ed one way or another, and all of them were scav runs also. you always see online how scavs are basically easy mode low risk runs but i haven't been able to experience any of it, the game feels so random, it's never certain for even a second if whether you're safe, I feel like someone I can't see has a killshot on me 24/7 no matter where i am, I feel like solo is still way too stressful for a casual player like myself.
Very nice to see that they are reworking Tarkov. Watched Fugglet, a total boss in Tarkov, and Aculite play Tarkov Arena last night and Fugglet kept nailing everyone. Aculite kept dying, but after a few rounds he exclaimed that he had realized ONLY headshots counted, and he started getting way more kills. No idea why the devs even bothered with that garbage spinoff. They'll probably abandon it like they did with Hired Ops.
I think this just made me decide to buy Tarkov. Always wanted to play this game, but I just don't have tons of time to sink into it. But now with this new mode, I think I'll finally pull the trigger since it looks like I can finally enjoy it at my own pace.
I personally haven't enjoyed it yet since 3 years ago, still get capped every 30 secs in ground zero and i tried showing my brother the ropes and we died too many times figuring out the poisin barrel quest, he only was able to join 1 out of 6 raids we tried, so we got annoyed and hit marauders instead, alot more fun and wayyyy less bs just to play, i also need ppl to play tarkov since i cant stand playing it solo, like idk how to sneak up on ppl like in hunt showdown, in that game you can ambush teams and be smart about positioning and win fights but tarkov no matter if i get the drop on a dude he just aim bots my head off, ive always had 80% of the game blocked to me cuz of these issues, cant even unlock drip with the insane requirements just to get a cool jacket qnd jeans, tarkov doesn't let me play the game so ive always hated more than loved tarkov, the biggest thing hate is the fact i need to buy the eod edition just to play coop and show my brother the maps, I'll be damned if these devs get more money out of my pocket just to get frustrated, i also have a gripe with how they control media and treat certain ppl over the years like banning ppl with spt that just don't wanna deal with the player base
Main reason I never got into Tarkov was the film grain. Even when it and all other film effects are turned off, it’s still so grainy. Like if the game looked like squad or hunt clarity wise I’d play a hell of a lot more
I will say man that knowledge is power and that a good player was allllwayss able to level even if they came in late. It is not easy but being knowledgeable in pathing, loot, BIS per trader level… those are all extremely powerful tools. This wipe is definitely going to be the biggest change and that mainly comes from recoil.
I'd love to play Tarkov, but I'm not apart of the PC Master Race, and unfortunately I don't have the funds to even join if I wanted to. I'll continue to live vicariously through those I watch play, and I'll continue to play Vigor, DayZ, and Hunt.
I have so many hours in tarkov. But also haven't managed to get to the flea market yet. This map will change everyting. Haven't played for a while, but this patch will be the one I will play again due to the changes.
Personally the previous recoil wasn't a deal breaker for me simply because i could overlook it when judging it as a whole. No other game has made me actually physically sweat in tense situations like tarkov has, as much pain as it can be, the moment after finishing a tough fight and limping to extract feels so much more satisfying than the Mediocre COD SBMM "Run Shoot Die Repeat" grind game loop. I wouldnt have played it for 650 hours otherwise. The game def has some problems atm, with the new hitbox system getting hit in the armpit seems a lot more common than it should be, and Fighting Endgame chads abusing Desync+Peekers advantage / running into the occasional cheater. However the other parts of it seem pretty good and i am hopeful for the future.
will this make some weapon stats unnecessary? since you usually had to spend like 300k to get accuracy that good but if it comes stock does that mean that 300k gun has no change or just pinpoint accuracy?
marauders is also pretty nice modern extraction shooter although it does have some older guns and is technically in space still has some nice gunplay especially since all the updates they released
i just came from xbox to pc and i got tarkov before the wipe it was was a nightmare to control recoil but now oh my i love it its way better feels so smooth now defo worth getting now.
I wish Ground zero worked how he said it does. Im level 9 currently and every game is full over level 18 - 19 PMCs fully kited out. It kinda sucks, they had a great Idea and ruined it. Devs should have locked the map to when you unlock the flea market (level 15) you cant play Ground zero no longer.
You're still going to die a lot. But the changes reduce the suck. You gonna be playing it?
dude im right with you i couldnt play and then i decided because of the patch to try again and omg im killing servers like wtf this is awesome
No Hause i dont have a pc

Before the recoil made me feel like a small child. No grown man has that much recoil

It actually makes me feel better that i was not alone in this exact same situation 😂
You’ve never actually played Tarkov if you haven’t unlocked the flea at least once

Facts, ive been playing since 2018 but never have gotten past lvl 20ish in a wipe and i still feel like a noob. Quiting before unlocking the flea is like quitting in the tutorial lol
Plot twist, people could have played tarkov before the flea was implemented
Right the game becomes completely different hahaha

theres a new game coming out called grey zone warfare, should be what youre looking for.
In order to have decent firearms, you had to use like all kinds of attachments to make the gun bearable. Now it’s different and I love it.
@@TripleAlfafa the main problem wasn't the high recoil (though that was one of them), it was how the recoil handled. the rifles or any other gun with a stock would have insane muzzle flip and just bounced around, which is physically impossible when firing a stocked firearm. it's meant to recoil into your shoulder and upwards, as depicted with the new recoil.
i could see the purpose, like maybe it could be tied to the mastery mechanic and the more you use a weapon the faster you can handle and manage recoil
its because the game is an RPG rather than just a shooter so you're expected to get better at skills through use, leveling and getting better attachments. good in theory but just not implemented well. so many people see it as just a hard shooter and forget its closer to an MMO-RPG grind than other shooters out there. but the complaint is the same, the recoil sucked hard and didn't make sense lore wise, as you said with the whole trained PMC idea. this is the first wipe where ive hit flea and level 2 traders in 3 days flat where before it took me weeks. i finally feel like i can actually fight and win.
They aren't regular people. The scav description says they are former pmc's@@TripleAlfafa
The recoil made no sense before. PMC’s we’re supposed to be highly trained fighters but can’t control the recoil of an mp5?
Purely from the perspective of realism, super sweaty pvp and tactical shooters the recoil was crazy
Yeah you still can’t get decent ammo without high level traders.
Maybe.
Glad they finally listened to the players, about time, cause I was scared the game was going to die
It probably still will Nikita has shown he doesnt really want to listen to players
Really cool to see Regular MilSim TH-cam enjoying Tarkov this wipe.

Four or five wipes and never unlocked the flea market? Finally, someone who gets me and my experience
I only got to lvl 20 after months of playing but never winning fights, basically headbutting my way to the flea, god i wasted so much time in eft
@@elgringofeo9348same on the very off chance I win a fight in this game it almost certainly comes down to pure luck. I can be aiming right at someone and not hit them at all and for them it’s like my character is one big head and eyes.
@@ryanmitchell4044 yeah gunfights feel off for me in eft in a way ive never seen before, idk if its desync or whatnot but ive generally am fine in any other game, im not great but im decent, its always felt off
never unlocked the flea market? HOW??
One can unlock the flea market in 3-4 weeks just by doing the fetch quests and not killing 1 pmc.
@@elgringofeo9348 @ryanmitchell4044 what you are saying is exactly how i experienced this game for multiple wipes until i learned the following which totally transformed the game for me:
1. there is always desync: if you wait for the person to come around the corner before shooting, that person is actually ahead and sees you first. you must always push, not react, charging around the corner will give you the lag advantage.
2. ammo ammo ammo ammo: what comes out of the gun is more important than any gun or armour. a worn out m4 from a scav with good ammo is more deadly than a 3000 000 rouble HK416 build with weak ammo.
using low grade ammo against enemies with even cheap armour who has good ammo puts you at a disadvantage because you have to hit him with 10-15 rounds because your low grade ammo is being absorbed by their armour, while it only take like 3-4 of their good ammo to blast through your armour and kill you first.
the above 2 points are why you feel like you are getting killed instantly while you gun does nothing: tis because you are lagging behind the enemy and you are hitting him but your weak bullets does not kill whilst their good ammo kills you first.
3. full auto is the name of the game: there is no single shot nothing if its an assaults rifle or smg. you go out of your way to get the best ammo. if you got weak rounds aim for the thighs or if you got armour piercing rounds aim center mass then MAG DUMP until the enemy falls over. the trick is to control the recoil and keep moving while hitting the target . no crouching or prone single shot pew pew. its drrrrrrr down sight whilst strafing left or right.
4. he ain't dead until you see his stash.
5. there is always another enemy, double check before looting.
6. don't play on the standard edition, minimum prepare for escape edition- the standard stash is just way too small in the beginning. having a larger stash (and secure container) for quest items and gear before unlocking the flea is like pay to win.
My biggest gripe actually was the extract zones not being shown. Are they now? If not then im good.
Actually a great video tackling how the recoil patch made the game more accesible for new comers
I love this! I liked playing Tarkov in early 2023 but getting killed by No-Lifers ruined the experience for me so i'm glad i can enjoy the game and not be a ultimate gamer

Finally a kiddy pool for me to learn the game vs what was the previously a shark tank for new Trakov players such as my shelf.
A step to the right direction, but it's not enough. The main problem is that most people join teams. We need 2 different modes, one with teams and one solo.
then tarkov wouldnt be tarkov cope with it
Then don't engage the squads. play smart. play for survival.
@@Septicshites I was playing this game almost from the beginning, don't tell me what is Tarkov.
Tarkov is not Fortnite. There are no rules about teaming, you can team with whomever you want whenever you want.
@@johnrenzcahilig9858 it's not that simple.

I am a little similar. I've played Tarkov for a while now, since the patch before the shoreline release patch. And there was only one time where I was good at the game and it was the only time I unlocked the flee and it was around when Labs came out. And after that I was back to trash. But I am glad the game is getting better : )
No, they can not. As long as there is a flea market....
The flea is a gutted shell of its former power. Really just useful for hideout and gun parts now. There's almost no good gear on the flea.
what? its gives access to better parts before you can unlock them if anything it helps
You mean the one way to reliably get just about anything you want?
The traders don’t offer shit, and the shit they do offer is, well, shit.

Bro is onto nothing 🔥 🔥 🔥 🗣🗣🗣
@@remix2822 you dont need armor this wipe cause you will still die from head throat most of the time with current recoil control and any shitty bullet will penetrate that class 3 throat protection :D I also disagree with skill is more important now then before, I was smashing those geared bois on shoreline resort / interchange and customs running in just tactec and as val / sa-58 previous wipes and i didnt even need to make meta val, just any ergo grip in front with laser cause aiming down the sight in this game doesnt reward you at close-mid distance, people werent that afraid to push previous wipes, now its just waiting game when they will hear your steps, not even try to crab walk, people will just sit in 1 spot for 20 minutes afraid to peak and since there is little to no recoil and extra too many hitboxes if you get ambushed by such rat you wont survive this time because you will get head throat or armpit hit, spraying with svd / shotguns and other 762 calibers feels like shooting a bb gun, now game is not rewarding for those who spend many hours playing it, no point in playing 6-8 h daily, if you remember how it was in alpha tarkov(if u had a chance to experience it) fights in my opinion were much better in alpha cause of very bad recoil that forced people to push each other at close distance (there was no face hitbox back then btw, headshot was just a headshot), fights were longer and they felt in my opinion more rewarding, even when you got that shitty loot from the enemy (cause there was little content in game) the feeling after won fight was really good and there were so many 4-5 man squads all the time, fun times
the bit at 2:23 where the scav runs out the door and then you can see him run the other direction 2 seconds later made me holler
i used to love tarkov. you're right about it basically needing your life in order to be competitive at all
my problems with tarkov now are, i just can't use headphones. with wife and 3 kids and something always needing my attention, i cannot play any game which requires headphones or cannot be paused.
just the way it is now.
Absolute love for this update. The thing that pisses me off in Tarkov is the fact that you can empty your mag onto someone, and the faker doesn't die
Exactly, its a joke, idk if its desync or just unrealistic armor or something. If you get shot on thorax multiple times u should at least drop down..
100 percent
No. I think that's to far..killing some high lvl juicer with meta everything is part of the fun
@@steveng7007 oh yeah true, but maybe ground zero could have proper matchmaking for the noobs to lvl up?
This update brought me back to tarkov and wow, I can actually enjoy the game now.
I know "it's still a early access" but damn, it's been an early access for like 7 years already
fun fact, you can bring in people over lvl 20 so long as the party lead is under lvl 20 into ground zero
All this doesn't change how other players play and will pass more time in loading screens than the game itself
bro, I have owned Tarkov since August 2016.

How is leg meta nerfed? all of the high flesh buckshot and 9x18 rounds are still easily bought. The only thing we lost really is 9x19 RIP.

The mounted grenade launcher on ground zero neds to be removed, or changed to be an mg. i myself am very guilty of using it whenever i can, ive killed full squads, and many players i didnt even know were there just by spraying the map with it. its completely broken and op
love the video and the quote at the end, earned my sub and notifications
Im a casual player and I enjoyed Tarkov for years now.
Last time I played tarkov was 2021 and I also noticed that scav runs also come with better weapons
My pmc can now shoot like hes a pmc
I'd love to play Tarkov, but I'm not apart of the PC Master Race, and unfortunately I don't have the funds to even join if I wanted to.
I'll continue to live vicariously through those I watch play, and I'll continue to play Vigor, DayZ, and Hunt.
Dad squad? 👀👀👀
However the other parts of it seem pretty good and i am hopeful for the future.
will this make some weapon stats unnecessary? since you usually had to spend like 300k to get accuracy that good but if it comes stock does that mean that 300k gun has no change or just pinpoint accuracy?
i actually enjoy getting in gun fights now because i dont need to spend 50k+ rubles in attachments every time i wanna use a gun.
marauders is also pretty nice modern extraction shooter although it does have some older guns and is technically in space still has some nice gunplay especially since all the updates they released
i just came from xbox to pc and i got tarkov before the wipe it was was a nightmare to control recoil but now oh my i love it its way better feels so smooth now defo worth getting now.
