The guy driving the F3L must have more money than God. I think that is the only example of that car (a prototype and the only one left) and he drives it like he's qualifying for LeMans. Love that attitude!
He was hauling it around like madman! To date, that was the first and only time we ever saw that car in action and we're so glad it was being pushed to the limit. Truly stunning machine
THNX!! The DFV,Almost Everyone knows about..the Peugeot didn't fare as well in F1, as it's power couldn't compete with the rivals at the time,I believe 700,800 hp was the norm at the time..
well of couse they sound like f1 cars, the 3 liter sports racers of the 70s had de-tuned f1 dfv v8s and v12s, while the group c cars had f1 derived judd engines or f1 derived engines from the manufacturer(ferrari and peugeot)
Yup, that is true, we also stated that in the video description. Nonetheless, it's still quite unique in a field of 30 cars and it's just a fun video to make & watch :)
Great work as always! I'm guessing the green car at the end has the Judd V10, as I can't place what it is? The rest of them I'm familiar with! The McLaren's V12 at 6 (LM) or 6.1 litres (production) was a bit bigger than F1 units though!
F3l is the most underrated car in history..If only it had the same reliability as the Mk4 when it was racing. Unquestionably the most beautiful design ever produced under Ford and arguably nicer than anything Ferrari ever made during that time.
Good video, just tell it "the sound of real racing cars", not "with F1 sounds", some of these cars are running with engines that we could found in F1 (different version...), but not all...(V12 BMW/McLaren, V12 Jaguar...).The V8 DFV Cosworth was as better in a F1 as in a Sport-Prototype for example...👍🏎️🏁🤓🇨🇵
I wish F1 had static shots like these. Really makes you appreciate the speed.
Agreed!

The sound of the Matra rings
IMO the best sounding V12 ever.
Christ that F3L is quick

I'm pretty sure it's a DFV in a Lola T292. The car features at 6:05 and on.

Could it be anything but?? One of my all time favorites

The DFV was just an astonishing power unit!
