Sounds more like a jet turbine that just keeps spooling up.
I think it just had extremely long gearing and the power was lacking.

Men, the Mazda 767b is the best of the compilation. That scream, the long shift feel like filling the lungs of air to keep screaming, the eco with the trees, is just perfect.

I haven't herd a louder car than the C6.R to be honest. Walking around the paddock one time, without earplugs they started that up when ALMS was a thing and I lost hearing temporally.

The fact that you can hear the 412 T2 from La Source all the way down Kemmel to Les Combes is mind boggling. And the driver wasn’t even pushing. So you can hear that car pretty much no matter where you are and where it is on track.

The first time I’ve heard an F1 was in 1995 in Spa, at Eau Rouge, it was Jean Alesi’s Ferrari. I will NEVER forget that sound. I was convinced it was an amplified sound from a neighbouring loudspeaker. But in fact it was just raw pure Ferrari V12...

I got to this video because i watched a review on the new Ford Mach E "Mustang", electric ofc, and it sounded like a bunch of girls on a rollercoaster.
I really needed some honest engine-sound after that lol...
@@Schmitzelhaus I don't mind that Ford is trying to make an electric car that's "sporty" in fact I think it's interesting. But don't call it the mustang. Ffs no, don't cheapen/dilute the decades' old name Mustang and the history attached to it.
@@spamcan9208 Absolutely agree, especially since it looks basically like a rally-version of a Focus...i´m even ok with an e-Mustang, would be pretty sad to just let it die out. But it has to have the genes of the original!
Peugeot actually had a studie named "e-Legend", that looks way more like the e-version of the Mustang imo. lol

Okay, I'll settle it straight for you so you'll understand.
A powerslide is getting the car sideways after a turn in to speed up the straightening of the car in the exit. It uses the momentum and sheer power of the car. It's mainly used by all wheel drive rally cars because a conventional turn will result in understeer when going fast in a turn. In a sport where your goal is to clear a stage as fast as possible, that's a no go. Drivers take advantage of the power at all four wheels because this will correct the car as it exits the turn.
A drift has similar function to a powerslide, minimizing understeer, but it happens before a turn and it requires techniques to initiate it rather than brute force. You can pull the handbrake, you can use the brake pedal, you can do a clutch kick, or you can shift the weight of the car. Another difference is that it's used for the low speed windy mountain roads where Keiichi Tsuchiya popularized it, also serving as an aesthetic choice rather than function, because you can still minimize understeer at low speeds with right gripping techniques.
What you saw in the video is clearly a Powerslide since it is performed by a Subaru Impreza going into a hairpin turn. Notice its tail flicks after it goes into the turn. Similar function with distinct characteristics.
The c6.R is a car you have to hear in person just to really understand how loud it really is. Absolute monster

i get tears in my eyes hearing these old F1 cars and the 787 in this vid, knowing we will never get race cars that sound that good again. they give me the chills time and time around.
That 767B gives me goosebumps every time.
In running order, the Mazda 767B, Ferrari 412 T2, and Ferrari F2004 were my top 3 picks; but every engine sounded unique and incredible in their own way. I hooked it up to a Bose Bluetooth speaker and scared the hell out of my cat and dog! Well worth it. Fantastic video, thank you!

I liked the Mazda 767B a lot, it sounds very good but I'm still enjoying the Ferrari F2004 V10 a lot more.

@@naterod Yea I would def get ac1 if I had a gaming pc but we only have the nuetered version on consoles. Not worth getting. And ACC has ffb issues on console with some wheels and my fanatec has zero ffb on that game and the devs haven't addressed the issue at all. Makes the game unplayable for me which is a Bummer.
My God....this just reminds me of why I LOVE CARS. So many different configurations, so many ways to make an amazing and beautiful machine. Cars are art in motion. 🥰
Also, as someone who plays a musical instrument (viola), it's difficult not to appreciate the sounds of cars. Every type of engine with it's own chords and harmonics.... simply gorgeous.

Congrats on 1000 uploads,, that's an accomplishment! Each car sounds absolutely amazing but the Ferrari 333sp epitomizes them all IMHO. I combines the sounds of GT3 and F1 to perfection

You had a good variety of 4-, 6-, 8- 10- and 12-cylinder motors--and even a shrieking 4-rotor Wankel rotary! It was great!

Dawid Bekhem I have heard the Sauber c11 in person as well. And yes, I can confirm it was even more menacing, due to the speed. It shook the grandstand. Group C era was some of the best Motorsport of all, and that car represents its time very well.
