- Antonov An-225 "Mriya" taking off at Leipzig/Halle Airport on July 7th, 2021. The largest aircraft in operation (until 2019) and still the longest and heaviest aircraft in the world brought medical equipment to Windhoek in Namibia. The An-225 has a wingspan of 88.4 meters and can carry a maximum of 250 tons.

Sure is and here's the problem Russia has destroyed the Motor Sich plant since May 2022 which means either RR or GE must make the D236 engine for Antonov and Motor Sich. Otherwise AN-225 will use 6x GE9x engines or Trent XWBs due to the D236 engine being unavailable
Forget the now destroyed Mriya, the whole world wants to see the Jet powered tow vehicle break the sound barrier once that RB211 lights up.

This is truly a majestic airplane on take-off. It was very impressive with all six at full-power. Sadly this beauty was a victim of war in it's own hanger. I hear that a possible, exact replica is being developed. I would love to see how this next massive airplane will emulate the original AN-225. However, I don't know when they will intend to complete it, because the war between Russia and the Ukraine hasn't given in yet. I hope very soon though. I will pray for those people.

Such a beautiful aircraft by the way does it have water injection it’s cool how it smokes a lot but it’s sad that such a wonderful aircraft is a victim of war it will be greatly missed
