  • Today we have a look at the Antonov 225 inside the largest Airplane. Normal planes are absolutely amazing, but the largest airplane in the world is just on another level and very popular for planespotting. That's why we decided to show you the Antonov 225 inside view, including the Antonov 225 cockpit as well as the Antonov 225 cargo space and how the loading cargo process works. In our Antonov 225 documentary, we are also having a look at how the biggest airplane in the world is able to takeoff and land safely and why the airplane needs so many wheels to land properly. If you are interested in a freighter or just general aviation, make sure to watch the video till the end to find out some interesting facts about why the Antonov can not land on every airport around the world. While normal aircraft only need a pilot and a co-pilot, this airplane does have a very large crew, do you know how many people it takes to operate this Airplane? Tell us in the comments below!

I think you need to do more research:
The Buran was not designed to launch from the 224. This was just used to transport the Buran between the landing site and the launch site, just as NASA did with the Space Shuttle.
"And since it was the only plane that was ever built in the entire world" (2:02) - What the f___!
Several of the images shows the Antonov 124.
"Russia don't make coincidence" - This is a Ukrainian plane, not Russian.

No, no, no, wrong, wrong. The US space shuttle was not launched from an airplane. It was only transported by the modified 747. They released it from the plane for glide and landing testes but was NEVER going to be sent into space from the 747. For starters there is no fuel! The Soviets were using it for transport of their orbiter as well. Also the 225 would show up the US C-5 heavy transporter. They planned to use the 225 to carry all sorts of military cargo, including redeployment of mobile ballistic missiles. A one up to the US proposal to have mobile launchers on trains so they could not be easily targeted.

Did you not do any research on how the Buran or the US Space Shuttle worked?! Neither one of them were launched to orbit from an aircraft. The airplanes used were only to transport and test the vehicles, not to launch them to orbit. Also, the Buran didn't "fail miserably," the Soviet Union collapsed and it lost funding. The vehicle itself passed its tests just fine and many would say was a better design than the US Space Shuttle.

    • @grubbler123

@@grubbler123 The strong resemblance to the American Space Shuttle is more a fault of physics and fluid dynamics than espionage. There are only so many ways to make a load-body spacecraft to those specifications. This is also compounded due to the technology of the day. @@BeyondFacts The AN-225 was NOT built to launch the Buran into space. It was built to transport the Buran and the Energia boosters between assembly, launch and landing sites - in the same way as the modified Boeing 747 Shuttle Carrier Aircraft that was used for the US Space Shuttle Orbiters.

Range Rovers are not known for their reliability, that much is true. But airplanes like this get full maintenance checks regularly which cost orders of magnitude more than any customer vehicle. Parts are replaced and repaired far more often than on any car, no matter how unreliable.

One query tho... unless I dont know my aircraft... at 5:15... in vid...the aircraft displayed is actually the AN-125 with 4 engines and NOT the AN-225 which has 6 turbines.😉

There's only one AN-225 in service but there's about 25 or 26 AN-124 currently around the world. We actually had one fly overhead here in Brisbane, Australia last week. It's a different type of rumble to live far enough away from the airport that you don't register when a normal aircraft takes off, and yet have this thing still at ~3000ft overhead as it departs :)

Stratolaunch is biger, the Antonov is longer cause it’s a cargo plane, long fuselage. But Strattolaunch is wider. 385ft!!!
They both have nearly same payload capacities over 500,000lbs.
