- Amira Willighagen sings 'O Mio Babbino Caro' on Holland's Got Talent and delivers an astounding performance which results in her being awarded a 'Golden Ticket'. This ticket allows her to proceed straight to the Live Show.
Some people have incorrectly interpreted this to mean the Final, but the first Live Show will be the Semi-Final on 21 December followed by the Final on 28 December 2013.

Beautiful voice almost like an opera singer of another age reincanated into this little girl, truly beautiful, she doesent need luck she has a voice to see her through life.
I must have watched this over a hundred times since 2013 and every time I do, it brings tears to my eyes.
She is absolutely brilliant and amazing. If I were one of her parents, I'd be extremely proud of her.

Found this jewel just this morning August 18, 2021. Flushed my eyes with tears. Sent it out to several friends. Now sitting in a restaurant having breakfast, reading the comments. It is awkward to eat when you're on the verge of crying just reading the wonderful comments. Truly the best, most evocative things I've ever seen and heard. All Amira ever wanted to do at this point in her life was to be able to sing on TV just once, and if she never got to do it again she would still have been very happy. I agree, Amira is unpretentious as well as loving and it is her heart that enables her to produce such beautiful sounds.

Considering her age, yes. This was unbelievable. But I was kind of disappointed when I heard how she sounds today. It wasn’t extraordinary by any means. It was surprising - during all these years I would have expected something entirely else since she would have so much more potential. I doubt she has gotten any proper education/training. She really should - it’s not too late…yet.
I enjoy this performance even more than the later ones where she's technically better but this was completely from the heart this is unbelievable...

After watching this for a thousands time... Still always amazed like the first time!! Unbelievable.
It's not just that she's a wonderful singer, because there are many. But this performance... It's like she has lived what she is singing. I find it so rare to hear that connection and emotion, the 'thing' that just moves you. Pavarotti was the same for me - he didn't just sing words of songs. He sang pure emotion, like it was coming from his soul.
I hope it's something that Amira always holds onto to. It's so much more important than a perfect technique.

For all these years, since the performance of this cute little beautiful creature at HGT 2013, all fans admire Amira's facial expressions, her often closed eyes. However, I will say that the parents were mainly worried about the harmony of her teeth, but the fact is that she has lumenophobia, fear of bright light, and there is a need to correct this - by eating more carrots and fresh carrot juice so that all the works are saturated with unique facial expressions and body movements inherent in Amira.

This is very impressive for a self taught nine year old 👍! Amira seems to sing with a more natural and correct operatic technique than e.g. Jackie Evancho and Charlotte Church. They sort of sing in the back of their throats by using air that they "trap" there with their tongues, which makes their facial and mouth expressions look weird at times and also makes them sound like grown up women. Amira sounds like an angelic young girl.

She just blew, instantly and without warning, all of the defences that took years to built. With her voice, she reached and broke the jar of my deepest sadness, and gave it a beautiful way to express itself. No wonder why the public glared astonished, this goes deep, highly personal, they were not prepared for such an intimate experience in a show like that; no one is really. This is an exceptionally rare gem.

Absolutely. Haven't reached a million yet, but approaching. Her voice is amazing. Her expressions are great (loved the run back to her brother & father), as was the expression by the guy at the right (smiling in enjoyment & shaking his head in unbelief). The two on the right were distracting. Could have done w/o the song overlay at the end.

Does anybody know if Amria will tour in the US? Especially Las Vegas.
+pat clary Amira does not do tours as such she still attends school when it is in and only performs when on a school holiday or vacation. She is allowed to do 12 performances in the Netherlands a year by law and does do some performances for special occasions on the weekends out of country by invitation. She had 1 performance at the Planet Hollywood just after she won HGT as a prize for winning. She has had 2 other performances in the US but both were private affairs by invitation only 1 in Texas and the other in NYC. Jackie has lived by a separate set of rules when it comes to schooling and performing as for all practical things she has been a professional singer for years.
This is progress.... a nine years old girl who sings Puccini because she listened it on TH-cam. Great job girl.

When she said "No, I haven't had any lessons." She had won. Should have given her the prize and started the season over. Did you note the expression on the young girl's face - perfect example of a look saying "we are so completely screwed."
Dearest Amira, I am an ancient 66yrs.old now, but when I was young I sang too, in 2 choirs - until my voice 'broke', then I sang in the basso section but hated it! For the first time in a long time you brought tears of joy and longing to my face when I found you on youtube, my mbiggest joy was watching the 'judges' facial reactions when you first opened your miraculous voice, you truly deserve all the success and wealth you and your natural 'perfect pitch can accrue, luckily I know you have an extrodinarily marvellous family around you, and I know they will look out for you, as the crones gather to profit from a talent they can never claim themselves! Take care and the very best of sincere wishes to you and your supportive brother, I truly wish you all so well, for I have never heard of a more desering natural talent in all my long years, and if you don;'t mind, wish all that for you all, with all my heart and love,

I don't hear Maria Callas in this, I felt her approach much closer to Montserrat Caballé's, but still outstanding and angelic. This is trully amazing and I always come back from time to time, since it never fails to bring me peace and joy.
beautiful normal 9 year old girl but when she begins to sing, she settles into "character and her voice sounds so grown up." an amazing talent and a future star. may she keep her innocence and charm. whenever you become worried about the future, listen to this child. :-)
