I like what your thinking about with how Breath of the wild is based off of the triforce of wisdom. Tears of the Kingdom being based off of the triforce of courage. I think it would be cool if Nintendo continued with this trend and did another game based off of the triforce of power, as that would be cool and interesting to think about! I wonder how the story in that game would turn out however... Anyways good video my dude!

And since we’re talking about a new console, could you see TOTK being ported on there with content that wouldn’t be on the switch version or have both versions get equal treatment with dlc? While at 11:20 it did make me think of a game with a young Ganondorf as your friend who turns on you and progresses into Ganon, then into demise, and then perhaps beyond. The dark world is a interesting concept you brought up. This could be a great way to reintroduce Dark Link or Shadow Link in the third installment of this Zelda trilogy. Considered that Link has doubts about himself as a hero, the lost of his family (cut out as seen in Creating the Champions) and his fellow Champions, silencing any burden that cause him to express his emotions, losing his Princess time and time again, and being forced to break his promises to the Champions as Zelda becomes the light dragon, facing his evil counterpart would be a psychological and spiritual conflict Link has ever faced.

    • @orianefaton1885
      @orianefaton1885 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Plus, most if not all instance of the dark world are due to the triforce of power, either because Ganon(dorf) corrupted the sacred realm or other things. (Sure, Lorule as a special case for them, since the wish of destroying the triforce is partly to blame, but in the first place, they made that wish because they also had people who just like Ganondorf were trying to steal the triforce)
Although, they may start to maybe run out of ideas, by then ? But, if they still do, it may grant us the first Zelda game ith Queen Zelda, maybe ? (hopefully. Since we know there were a few years between BOW and TOTK, I understand than then, they were more focused on rebuilding Hyrule, so no proper ceremony to reinstal the royal family. ... If they feel a bit mean about it, maybe whatever is supposed to go wrong, happen on the day of the ceremony or something, forcing it to be postponed but implying that Zelda will finally be queen once we are over, possibly even ending the game on the proper ceremony)

One idea I think might actually be pretty cool would be to explore Link's character deeper, focusing on his personal trauma overtaking him and turning him closer and closer to the dark side. The Hero's Shade from Twilight Princess is the closest we've ever had of seeing the psychological state which comes with being the Hero with the burden of fighting Evil and saving the world so a game which explore Link's personal struggles is definetly a story worth exploring as long as the developers know how to flesh out said struggles in a way that allows the player to relate to beyond a simple dialogue or scene. My theory is very similar to yours but in my opinion, BotW had a major part of the story on Zelda's journey to unlock powers, TotK had quite a focus on Ganondorf, so the next may actually focus on Link as the one to start the plot and make it be strongly centred on him. I think it might be Dark Link as you say, but I think in the next game, we may actually have a chance to play as Zelda and see the story unfold by him. We can see something like Link being not able to lift the Master Sword anymore and the tension around what its implications might be.

For the sequel of Tears of the Kingdom, I would like the relationship of Link and Zelda to flourished even further, bringing back the Triforce (since it has been within the Princess of Hyrule the whole time), the return of Demise, exploring other regions outside of Hyrule like Yona's domain, revealing the identity of the Ancient Hero, and to see our beloved pair become new rulers of Hyrule.
I also agreed that lack exploring underwater is something Nintendo should be focusing on for the next installment of this trilogy that Breath of the Wild have kickstarted in 2017, as well as the Dark World you brought it up. But it needs to establish a connection of all three games to come together into one story while fixing the plot holes to build a strong structure fans are struggling to follow.
From the founding of Hyrule that leads up to the Imprisoning War to the first Calamity which happens 10,000 years before the events of Breath of the Wild. These games are much 'prettier', but they are in no way 'better' than the older Zelda games, IMO...and honestly, I've heard the same coming from many more Zelda fans that I though I would. Also, you simply can't compare sales numbers of games today, when compared to older games, simply because the install base in the industry is so much higher today than it was a few decades ago. Trees and Water are always extremely heavy to deal with, since its already heavy with Trees in all Hyrule, sky islands and underground maybe the Switch couldn't handle it.

So Spirit Tracks and Minish Cap for instance would be given the 3D treatment and vice versa BOTW for instance would be given the 2D treatment. That will carry you the next 20 or so years

I think it probably came down to a choice between underwater, or The Depths in terms of what they could practically fit into the game, and program within a reasonable timeframe. At the end of the day I think they made the right choice.
I like that they shook things up with The Depths and did something new. It kinda reminds me of The Upside Down from Stranger Things, which wouldn’t surprise me, as I’m pretty sure they’ve drawn influence from the show before, considering the fact that Vah Rudania looked like what you’d get if a Demogorgon fucked a Dogongo, lol

I don’t think Nintendo will stick with the status quo forever. Zelda is a very artsy series, and makes several changes with most games. Almost no 3 games are alike! (There are a few instances where 2 games are alike, but not 3. The 3 Zelda GBC games are the only exception that comes to mind.) So, I am expecting something different, but probably something that blends more of a classic Zelda style with the modern open world style. I think making a game similar in design to the original Zelda 1 for NES, but heavily modernized might be the way to go! I think that would be the ultimate compromise.

Correction about the out of Hyrule lands, not all of them are parallel worlds. The oracle games introduced 2 countries next Hyrule and both had Zora! And there's also Triforce heroes that introduced another kingdom where Link left to!!
I don't know if that counts but in Twilight Princess people from Ordonna consider themselves out of Hyrule as Link is often told to go to Hyrule!
And Spirit Tracks, while being named Hyrule, it is geographically out of the Hyrule we know!

Idea: make the third, power-centered game like Bowser's Inside Story, but you play as Ganondorf for the first time in franchise history on a mission to finally end the curse that is making Ganondorf, Link, and Zelda reincarnate under the influence of the Goddess, the Hero, and Demise. For the first time, we can flesh out and explore the side of Hyrule that Ganondorf sees and get to know the man when he's not being forced to be villainous under Demise's influence. Ganondorf can have the most powerful attacks yet, the ability to summon monsters, and the ability to turn to Ganon form for giga-sized boss battles.
Ganondorf can also have an emotionally compelling story where we repaint his image as someone who wants to live as an honorable man and king for his people, but has been suffering under a curse that had forced him to be the bad guy... up until now, when he has discovered that collecting sacred gems from the temples will help him suppress the curse long enough to stay in control as he fights Link and Zelda for their Triforce pieces in an epic final battle and uses his wish to end the curse. The ending could either go for a happy or tragic feel, depending on whether everyone learns the truth and accepts Ganondorf or if Ganondorf turns to stone in a heroic sacrifice after using the last of his strength in combination with the Triforce to end the curse.

The next open world Zelda game should be the merging of the timelines...you travel between the 3 timelines to collect the triforce or to prevent Ganon from collecting the triforce before he can wish to merge the timelines so he can rule highrule once and for all...we fail to defeat him before he merges the timelines but we finally win and are left with a single timeline that will eventually lead to botw and totk

I feel like rather than the next open world Zelda game be another sequel, it should be a new hyrule with a new link. We've already explored most of what we can in this current hyrule and if Nintendo wants to let us explore the rest of this hyrule, it would have to be relegated to a dlc, instead of a new game. I believe that it would be better if we got a new hyrule, so we could experience the same feeling of exploration that we got in botw.

11:20 i had the thought of the next game having a young ganondorf as links gerudo friend but eventually he betrays him and chooses power. We would see a full transformation between ganondorf to dark beast ganon, to demise, or perhaps even beyond. Its a whippin wide stretch but you would also be able to play as young ganondorf. I suppose it would turn the game into a little more action and quicker combat oriented. I just dont how that would be executed. Would you have ganon following you around sonic style or switch between characters at different points in the game or do it GTA 5 style? Oh and yeah, you can all have your zeldaxlink romance that you've always dreamed of.

I want to see a game or even a ToTk DLC where the 2 factions sheikah and Yiga face of against each other and the player would be able to recruit new sheikah members as outpost defenders, claim/reclaim outposts then build defenses at those outposts to counter Yiga attacks and eventually finish the Yiga off for good. Remember the NPC Dorian and his story? He also needs to become one of the leading members of sheikah while wanting to seek revenge for his wife so he and his children can live in peace. In Totk leaving him moping around about that with no closure and the whole Yiga situation just feels unfinished. Especially how sheikah just let them take over parts of their territory and did nothing about actually reclaiming "control" of it. I cleared out that Akkala Ancient Tech Lab for Robbie as he "requested" and he just sits on his butt and lets Yiga move right back in makes no sense.

I love how so many people latched onto that Aonuma quote and 100% ignored the one where he said that while BotW and TotK have opened up new possibilities, no, the future of Zelda is not going to be an endless string of BotW-alikes, nor will it just adhere to this same Link in this same iteration of the world. And now that Aonuma basically has full control over the franchise, I'd like to see him make the Twilight Princess sequel he'd wanted a reality, the one he'd started making before Shigeru Miyamoto forced him and his team to scrap it and make Link's Crossbow Training instead.

There is still one little thing that was introduced in BotW and it is also in TotK that hasn't been answered it. Where did the Barbarian armor come from and who made it. It is purely used to make make your attack go up which is akin to power. Description is something along the lines of "once favored by an ancient warlike tribe from the Faron region". We all assumed it was the Zonai, but now we know it was. As they aren't really warlike tribe.

  • @ShadowWizard224

I have an idea for a new title….
Legend of Zelda: The Beacon of Hope
The game would have a dark western theme like twilight princess but have the vast open layout like breath of the wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The land will be scattered with different ranches, animals, characters, etc… Basically, instead of scattered shrines you will have huge ranches, farms, and villages scattered throughout the land that will be apart of the main story but also used for side quests and item fetching for certain goods that you will need throughout the game. Link is considered an average worker until the story and game progresses and by the end of the game he becomes a true leader that saves the land and his people from outside intruders. Dungeons will take place outside of the mainland and into certain areas like forests, mountains, swamps, lakes, caves, etc… Lastly, it will have a dark western theme. Like a combo of Zelda and Red Dead put together!!!! New enemies would include alligators and snakes in the deep swamps and giant polar bears in the high snowy mountains. Opening cutscene will have Link getting his ass beat in a fist fight by the toughest rancher and he has to go back to work the next day with a black eye. In the middle of the game Link will have a rematch which will establish himself as head rancher and that moment will be the equivalent to him growing up in Ocarina of Time by pulling the master sword. Main characters will follow you throughout your adventure and help you along your journey. Some of them will even die during the dungeons and it will be emotional because even though they died you have to keep moving forward. The main premises of the game will be about family, loyalty, hope, trust, hard work, and sacrifice.
    Any thoughts?

And not to forget that the depths was heavily plagued in gloom. To act as a “Lorule ” or “Dark World”

Voldemort style. Like, the Death Eaters (Yiga), follow Voldemort (Ganondorf) and carry on his Mission Statement, ultimately tryna revive him? then games therefor after will just be dealing with "The Ideology of Ganondorf" by whatever means be it- supernatural or just malignant.

The Legend of Zelda : The Faux Hero
Link, a young Hylian boy, has been raised since he was a baby by the Zora of Hyrule. He knows nothing beyond the walls of the Domain of the Zora, as his foster parent is overprotective. The overprotectiveness can be a result of this particular Zora losing their real child to the strife which is widespread beyond the Domain. The world outside of the Zoruan Domain has plunged into chaos with war, monsters, and whatever other calamities you can think of for the plot of the story. In some way, this grief-stricken Zora finds Link as an abandoned/lost baby, and takes him in against the will of the citizens of the Zoruan Domain.
As time goes on, Link is obviously bullied by the Zora as they dislike Hylians (outsiders in general) because of whatever part Hylians are playing in the chaos beyond the Domain. Link, while an exceptional Hylian, is like a monkey competing in a swimming contest against fish. No matter how he tries to compare to the other Zora children in the activities the Zora are inclined to participate in, he is unable to completely bridge the gap. This can include swimming and fore-arm oriented exercises (arm-wrestling, lifting objects, etc.) which can lead into Swordsmanship where he is finally able to bridge the gap and even surpass his Zora peers.
Let the strife eventually enter Zora's Domain, prompting Link to be forced to venture out into Hyrule for whatever plot point you'd like (rescue, finding an item to heal someone/something, etc.). He meets Hylians for the first time, and is made aware of a story of a Prophesized hero garbed in green that would save them from whatever strife we've decide upon for the plot. Eventually introduce him to a character who is regarded as the prophesized hero (the gimmick point for the game) and find out he is the leader of a group/resistance (Think of it as Robin Hood or something.) You become a scrub in their gang/crew/whatever, and start doing Link things like Dungeons/Being in the right place at the right time, and earn this guys respect. Make them become like brothers/rivals, eventually kill the guy in a boss fight with a cool revenge fight, and have him pass over his green garb/hat to Link and have Link become the true hero and tadah. You have some semblance of a solid linear Zelda game. Could be really cool.
Also, make the Zora into Arm-wrestling kinda like how Ordon village had Sumo with the Gorons in TP. kk I'm done.

    • @DavidBilbo-j9u

BotW reivented the land, TotK reinvented the sky and added the depths - I don't see them going anywhere but the ocean, both above and underwater. It's also a very good time for the devs to be inspired to do this, with Avatar 2 having succeeded so much and now One Piece dominating the world in 3 mediums at the same time.
