Fuse Zonaite weapons with flux construct cores. The zonaite weapon boosts the damage of the fused material (because flux cores are zonaite in origin!) and you get weapons that do 50 damage and all have the shatter property of destroying Taluses and Frox and ores quite easily, making them the perfect weapons to explore the depths and gather Zonaite from both minibosses and enemy camps. Combine this strategy with muddle buds so the depths enemies like bokoblins and lizalfos attack each other, so you don't have to use your zonaite weapons on them, and can replace any empty weapon slot with rock hammers so you start to mine with those instead of the more powerful offense zonaite flux core weapons. I get zonaite weapons and pristine weapons with nothing on the end, beat a few constructs, and use those flux construct weapons to defeat as many flux constructs as I can in a row, ending with an inventory full of flux construct core weapons. The tier 3 cores, I put on the zonaite weapon base. HIGHLY recommended.
@@catalyst539 Oh yeah. I haven't uh, leveled up either of my save files enough to get many tier 4 construct horns yet, still lots of level 3s and stuff, so the flux construct 3's are the big zonaite fuse item for me at my level. Also since Flux 3's exist at all experience levels, you can get their cores very early in the game, if you know where they are, right after the sky plateau section and you get the paraglider, you're all set to go hunting for Flux cores. Probably need Tulin to get most of the good ones, though.
Technically there is another weapon that you can get which you did not cover in this video: the MSG Master Sword. its the master sword in the start of TOTK before you encounter Ganondworf. 30 damage and infinite durability, it doesn't conflict with the normal master sword so you can have both the MSG and the normal master sword. There is a way to glitch it out of the start and into your regular game without even beating the starter sky island. Great attack power early on, and you can just carve your way through the starter sky island with it. The damage starts to drop off after the early game as you normally cannot fuse anything to it, but there is a glitch you can use to fuse stuff onto it later in the game, and infinite durability means it is the main weapon you are going to use for a long time, no matter if it is fighting enemies or cutting down trees. Good attack power early game, great for utility later on. Although it does not have double attack against gloom enemies, and I do not know if you can still get it in the newest version of the game. I got mine on version 1.1.2, updated later, and I still have mine, so if anyone still has a early version of TOTK (although sadly I don't think 1.0.0 or anything after 1.1.2 works)
Also soldier's spear is highly underrated. The quick charge lets you get an incredible amount of DPS when enemies only have a short time being vulnerable. I was basically one shotting entire boss phases with mid game fuses. Yeah it loses to the S tiers but with how common these are they're super solid.
I kinda did that in my first time endboss fight, except I used a pristine Royal Spear fused with Naydra Spike (forgetting about the Ice Gleeok Horn to fuse instead). And yeah, a spear fused with some ice effect is very effective vs Gloom Hands, especially when high damage. I can confirm that too.
You mentioned that you'd be better off using the forest dweller's shield than the spear, but the shield doesn't have the ability that the weapons do, shields don't have abilities
The sturdy sticks are actually really good for non-damaging utilities like gleeok horns or korok fronds because of their durability. B tier, not D tier.
I feel like the sticks should have been ranked based off their usefulness in fusing quick weapons or tools. Considering that's seemingly their sole point in totk, you're never meant to use them as is after unlocking fuse.
Honestly, the Royal Halberd (pristine version with +10 bonus attack) fused with a frost Gleeok horn is so OP, during a flurry rush the base power will be 116, however, the second attack will be 348 which can be done 5 times during a flurry rush. Consequently, you'll be able to take out most (if not all) freezeable enemies in a single flurry rush.
Yes. I’ve done lots of math, for nearly every single weapon. In almost all cases, fusing a Frost Gleeok Horn does more damage than a Silver Lynel Saber Horn. Interesting how you picked the Royal Halberd too. While +ATK is more often desirable, mathematically, over a weapons whole lifetime, Durability++ is actually more efficient. The Royal Halberd is one that actually *does* overall benefit for lifetime damage if it has +10ATK. Too bad you can’t see how much extra durability you’re getting… like how we can see extra attack.
@@ThereIsNoSpoon678, Interesting point of view for durability++, Honestly I don't mind durability on this weapon since the pristine one is pretty durable and I often go near Death Mountain to repair my weapons by octorocks. But yes overall durability+ gives more damage during the weapon's lifetime.
@@-Genius yes, but with so many weapons available, actually using your weapon until its lifespan is totally depleted isn’t a super big concern. Especially if your inventory is maxed out.
Zora Claymore is super OP with a certain strategy. If you cover yourself with the bubble shield you can do a charged spin attack with the claymore and not trigger the bubble's attack animation. This not only gives you the wet buff but also let's you stay in bubble giving you protection while you spin.
That is actually pretty neat. I think I might still prefer the sword though. The spear is strong too for a discount lightscale and I fuse an ice gleeok horn because it is insane damage with freezable enemies and in terms of race specific weapons, the Zora has the best because the gerudo stuff is frail. My favorite weapon though is the Scimitar of the seven for being easy to use because all you gotta do is fuse the strongest material to it and it is automatically really strong. It also has a wider reach as it is a sword and I can still freeze bash enemies with my gleeok hylian shield as well as attack.
Here’s a correction about the Master Sword’s stats: When you’re near gloom enemies, the base damage (not counting the fused item) does not double; it instead does 1.5x the damage (+15). However, the base damage does double when you’re fighting Ganondorf, along with having infinite durability. i just wish the master sword kept that massive durability bonus of 188 when glowing, just like BOTW, because in TOTK, the durability is stuck at 40 (again, unless if you fight any form of Ganondorf)
@@sheridan5175 Really? Whenever I durability-tested the Master Sword while glowing (No Ganondorf), the sword still lasted 40 hits, from slamming the ground to hitting enemies 40 times.
As the designated spear wielder (and certified Splash Fruit addict)-ouch, but fair. Durability is something of a problem with spears, though I think their speed and range make up for it. I also consider the Scimitar of the Seven to be as good as the Lightscale Trident, since Strong Fusion is my favorite weapon ability (which is why the Gerudo Spear is one of my favorite weapons). Spears are also great weapons for dealing with Like Likes, since I like to hoard arrows (for absolutely no reason) and don’t like wasting them on Like Likes. Barely related: the Boulder Breaker is probably best used to kill Talus and Frox, since it melts them like a Hylian in a Death Mountain cave. Also, as others have mentioned, the Zonaite weapons get a power bonus with Construct Horns. That’s why there’s usually a Captain IV Spear in my inventory.
Don't sleep on Flux Construct Cores, either. Zonaite weapons seem to gain an additional bonus when fused with these, you can even see the color of the text change and the added value in parentheses when you first fuse them. Easy way to get 50 damage weapons. I get incredibly damaging spears by putting zonaite spears together with flux construct 3 cores, and the charge attack is really, really high DPS especially against constructs (extra damage taken from zonaite weapons), flux constructs (extra damage taken from zonaite weapons), and any miniboss susceptible to shatter like Taluses or Froxes, because the core on the end also acts like a hammer weapon with the shatter property.
@@askthepizzaguyzonaite weapond will only have their BASE damage doubled Meaning fusing a construct horn to a mighty zonaite sword (10 damage) will simply add +10 damage to whatever construct horn is attached
@@Spork15 Yeah, if the core was doubled they'd be pretty broken. I just meant that fusing with zonaite weapons gives a boost that fusing to, say, a travelers' weapon does not. So if you're going to fuse them with something, make it zonaite.
@@Shirley4Vaga Fuse a cannon to a Mighty Zonaite Spear for a hand cannon. You can even aim the shot, since you can’t throw a weapon fused with a cannon. Not the best for raw damage output, but good at crowd control and area denial. The Cannon Spear is by far my favorite fusion in the game.
Zonite horns count for zonite fusion weapons. Mighty zonite sword + zonite captain 4 horn comes out at 55-65 damage. I use it as my expendable main weapon.
Knight Boardsword is really good in the depths. If you are only fighting gloom enemies and they hit you BUT YOU have empty black, but not gloomed hearts, those go first so u can actually use knight weapons to get thru lynel collusieium with ease and take several hits without dying
I specialized in spears because I really liked their high risk, high reward style of gameplay. You just have to get really good at dodges and you're golden.
You’re reaaaally underrating the Zora spear. 8 dmg is wank, but 40 durability and it doubling to 16 base + 2X a fused part cannot be understated. This is thing climbs to ridiculous numbers so easily and lasts for stupid long, I find myself throwing some of the A or even S tier weapons on the ground to get a zora spear if I can’t fit it in my inv
For freaking real, Zora weapons (except for shield and bow) are hugely slept on, "oh but gerudo weapons double fuse material damage" okay, that doubles the material damage, the zora weapons double BOTH the weapon and fuse damage, and they last so much longer than gerudo weapons, and don't come tell me the wet effect is too situational, because as soon as you get Sidon, it's free kills, that thing shreds through lynels, no joke.
also, i think that sturdy stick deserves more. it offers higher durability, and can be good for early game. if i have something with okay fuse attack power, i just put it onto sturdy stick since it has good durability
If you’re taking into account how good it is early game I’d go so far as to call it A tier. Otherwise, I still think it deserves B tier for the durability.
Also for any of the zora weapons, you can use sidon’s sage ability to get the extra attack damage, if you find that easier/more efficient than having to throw and use up a splash fruit.
Short Correction: The Master Sword wont double up damage, its base damage only increases from 30 to 45 But Therefore it doesnt Lose any durrability when fighting against Phantom Ganon and Ganondorf himself. In one specific phase however its base damage increases in a specific phase of the Final Fight from 30 to 300 which is pretty neat
Interesting fun fact. The decayed Master Sword also gains the insane multiplier when fighting Demon Dragon as well. But at 1 ATK, it’s not much. Also, it’s impossible to get the Decayed Master Sword to that fight…
@@user-et2dx5du7e Yeah, 200 damage with every swipe. Too bad that the Master Sword gets full Durrability and unlimited durrability against Ganondorf, otherwise this would be very game breaking
@@bee7131 Yes, I just heard something about the 150%, but don't remember it exactly... I'll try to attack also bigger enemies and will see if there's a notable difference, I'll smash them anyway! :)
yeah it does insane damage if you put a blunt material on it, my fave is putting a gohma leg since its powerful and looks great with it and i think it suits thematical since the gohma is the boss of the fire temple. i like to use my champion's weapons in different ways to give them their own roles . trident got gleeok horn to be my go to freezing weapon and it makes traversing water easier by freezing. scimitar of the seven simply gets the silver lynel saber horn for obvious reasons
Quick note about the charge attack mechanics. The one-handed charge attack is only good for knocking shields out of enemies hands, or if you're surrounded. You usually don't have enough time to charge more than one or two charge phases though. The two-handed charge attack is great against bosses, and that's about all I can say. You already know what two-handed weapons are good for. The spear charge attacks are great however, since you can jump cancel out of the last attack to get rid of all waiting frames, and also to do a side hop or backflip if you're currently locked on an enemy. I would say the spear charge is better than the two-handed charge, but that's just bias.
For 1 handed weapon, you can do a 5 hit(maybe 6) combo if you do a quick spin after the 3rd hit. It’s a fairly easy way to get an extra hit in At least in botw there are some positions where you can hit 3 times with a quick spin
Bit of an old video but there are some things I disagree with after playing for over 400 hours. First off, I know as far as a video goes it’s not possible to make more than one tier list at a time, however in practice I’d say there could be an _”early game/new player”_ tier list, but also a _”late game/seasoned player”_ one. D and C tiers are mostly fine, but some of the reasonings you apply for putting weapons in S tier (mainly the Gloom ones) don’t add up when comparing it to why some others aren’t there, such as the Royal Spear and especially the Knight’s gear (the ones with Desperate Strength attribute). I think _all_ of the Gerudo, Royal and Knight’s weapons should go in S tier simply because the damage output you can attain with them is absolutely ridiculous. Using every possible damage buff/multiplier, all of them are able to defeath both Lynels _and_ Gleeoks, which are the two highest HP enemies in the game aside from bosses. The Knight’s weapons alone gave me a pretty good reason to lower my main save file health down to three hearts and to keep it that way in alternate playthroughs. All of this should be enough statement to how much they can trivialize other overworld enemies and bosses. Gloom weapons and probably the Zora Longsword should be A tier, although I haven’t tested that last one too much, but the Water Warrior buff is very strong all across. Also, the Eightfold Blade and Forest Dweller weapons should be S tier as some sorf of combo because they lead to very easy sneakstrikes no matter which point of the game you’re at, but you only get stronger and this combo more powerful as you progress. Not to mention with FD weapons you can even fuse normal and giant Brightbloom Seeds to them and use them over and over without spending much resources, which is of huge help when traversing the depths and otherwise very dark areas. None of these three weapons are made for head-on attacks, but they’re not meant for that. They can help your strategy in ways other weapons simply lack the ability to.
Overall good list! I do think you give spears a bit short shrift, they weren't really nerfed at all in TOTK and they don't "do reduced damage" they just played with the damage number showb to try and push people to use it more often (and use 2 handed a bit less often) to get a bit more diversity. The huge speed and ability to stay away more then compensates for that and I don't think it's unreasonable as for a casual player it makes it easier to compare and appreciate the differences.
Exactly my thoughts. The range, speed, and (for the Royal variants) most amount of hits during flurry rush makes them the best weapon types in the game. I much prefer using spears than swords
I'm still waiting for Nintendo to bug-fix the master sword so that it gets the +25 durability of fuse. You only get it for the first time you have it, but once it loses energy the first time, it is locked at 40 durability every time thereafter; with no sparkle. :(
The sturdy stick weapons honestly should be higher on the list (especially the sturdy long stick.) They have absurdly good durability for how early you get them in the game clocking in at 24 for the one and two handed variants and a whopping 34 for the spear, for comparison, the non-pristine royal weapons have less durability than these literal sticks. For the early game, having a weapon that you can just guilt-free fuse your overpowered +20 damage monster part on is a pretty big boon warranting at least a C tier or maybe even a low B tier. While they're obviously not as good as the hero sword or the pristine korok weapons, they're still pretty good as an early game fuse dump.
knight weapons are cracked in the depths empty heart containers can take gloom damage so with a bit of setup you can have double damage with basically no downside
You’re underselling the Mighty Zonaite Sword and Mighty Zonaite Longswords way, way too much. Their perk also works with Construct Horns and Flux Construct Cores. Should be A tier.
Sea breeze boomerang will still return after hitting an enemy if you fuse an ice keese eye to it, you have a homing ice tornado that will always come back
There are a couple of things I like to do with gloom weapons. Besides being a great fuse material for Mineru, they are also surprisingly handy weapons when combined with a frost Gleok horn - especially on the surface.
Excellent grading there! The gnarled stick is rightly placed, but in my heart it's ranked higher because it saved my butt in Lurelin Village. Imagine! For some reason I decided to go there at the start of my game. Lo and behold, the poor fellows were being invaded by pirates! So I had to fight them with whatever I could use. When I got onto the ship, boom! Huge Boko Boss! And to deliver the last blow, my trusty gnarled stick witj some horn attached. Huzzah, it fell!
I disagree with about the magic rods and the royal claymore. Magic rods with an ice or lightning attachment are very good for crowd control so they should be at least a-tier. Royal claymores suck: when you flurry rush with them, you only get 4 hits and then the flurry rush ends. Both the royal halbert and the royal sword are better, being able to take out silver moblins in one flurry rush
The Royal Halberd is the one that sucks. It has less damage than what is shown to you, if you weren’t aware. It’s multihit is nice, but unnecessary. It’s a waste, the Broadsword and the Claymore are stronger.
I didn't even know there was a Gloom Club. I fought Phantom Ganon and he dropped one. My jaw dropped when I saw it had a base base damage level of 50. I been playing the game for 3 months now and fought many phantom hands, and phantom ganons and never seen a gloom club before. Also hear they have a gloom spear too.
Why not present the weapons by tiers instead? Or have time stamps? And if would be good to have a conclusion screen showing the tier rankings so someone can see where their Favorite weapons opened up
When fighting Phantom Ganons and final boss the Master Sword also gains the ability to never break while fighting them even going as far to fully recharge itself for the whole fight. So not only does it get stronger but it doesn't break either while fighting those 2 enemies. However this won't matter much to those who got the unbreakable master sword from a glitch and did the fusion glitch with it before it was patched. As you can have a master sword that never breaks all the time instead of having a master sword that never breaks when fighting only both types of ganon in the game.
The Unbreakable Master Sword also doesnt reflect Ganondorfs Gloom Projectiles unlike the repaired one. But while every other weapon shatters, the Unbreakable Master Sword doesnt
For the magic staff, fusing a sapphire to it makes it a quick way to freeze a whole lot of enemies at once - seriesly, the area of effect is HUGE compared to a lot of other options, and the fact that it's a spear actually helps it out over the other options due to the quick attack speed. On top of that, the damage reduction for spears doesn't matter on a weapon solely meant to freeze the field (and any debuff it might have gets cancelled out by just how quick you can use it). You get plenty of time to shift to a powerful claymore and start spinning around. It's definitely something that should be used in conjunction with other weapons, but you have multiple weapon slots for a reason. It definitely deserves to be in A-tier, but I think the staff specifically should go in front of the other magic rods due to its quick attack speed. The only other weapon I can think of with a larger freezing AOE then the magic rods is a boomerang with a frost emitter on it.
The mastersword doesn't double in power near gloom enemies, it gets x1.5 boost. It does power up to x2 against phantom ganon in the castle and ganondorf
The reason I wouldn’t use the boulder breaker to break boulders is because I’d just use Yonobo. You can’t get the boulder breaker until after you get him, so you are guaranteed to have him if you have the weapon.
For the Zora weapons, Sidon's ability can give them the wetness buff as well. That means that with the lightscale trident, my personal favorite weapon in the game, you can get and easy 100+ damage.
ok can't take serious zora weapons are all S Tier same as with Korok if you don't know why you probably didn't play the game much, from durability point and attack point with easily getting wet with Sidon plus the korok weapons using pushroom like as many times till they break to do easily 8* damage with sneaking attack im the only one that uses his strategy?
The Sprite shown for the Giant Boomerang is wrong... it also should be S Tier. It gets a 50% attack bonus just from throwing it at enemies & can hit them twice in a single throw. You missed this fact. Its fantastic, specially w Elemental fusions.
feathered edge is easily B tier. It retains its gust effect even when fused, making it pair immensely well with ice lizal horns or other ice fusions. Spear variant also gains this advantage, arguably better for striking enemies and then blowing them away or off cliffs with the frozen status. Like an upgrade to mushroom fused weapons.
I personally think thick sticks are an easy B tier/A tier early game where you don't have too many weapons slots bit can make a hammer or attach an elemental horn and it will ladt a really long time
Bring your health down to 1 before you go to the depths, since if a gloom monster attacks you, it lowers your total hearts. Although with gleeoks, keese, chu chus, and lynels, you still need to worry because of elemental damage.
Recently I've tried no shrine challenge (only the first 4 that are mandatory), which in consequence means only 1 stamina wheel and 4 hearts. Since most non-silver enemies don't realy one-shot you but instead leave you with a quarter of a heart, knight weapons seem like the best option in the game for me.
9:15 FOR REAL LIKE THE DURABILITY AND THE DAMAGE ARE SO PERFECT (With a +10 damage enchantment it's almost as powerful as the mastersword ) his effect is just soo good when you are about to die W LIST W TH-camR
Royal sword is s tier. You 1 shot flurry rush combo when you attach an ice gleok horn. The ice break multiplier and the royal flurry multiplier melts silver moblins in 1 flurry
Despite the lower damage, no other weapon type is better against normal enemies than Spears. Enemies can usually be stun locked by simply hitting them with it over & over. It's their battle utility that makes them so useful, not their damage. The Royal Halberd should still be S Tier for its Durability & respectable power. Its one of the very best Spears. Also, putting the Zora Spear in B Tier is straight up criminal. It is absolutely S Tier, easily! It's double damage bonus & high Durability easily make it one of the very best Spears in the game.
I think a mistake was made with the Biggoron Sword (even though it would still be A- Tier), is that the Biggoron Sword DOES have a special ability. The Biggoron Sword will continue it's spin attack pretty much indefinitely, unlike other 2h weapons which will eventually end the spin with a ground slam. This means you don't have to worry about stopping your spin attack too soon to avoid the ground slam, doing unnecessary additional durability damage and just focus on your "Spin to Win".
Biggoron's sword has the highest numbers when you total durability and damage and it deals the most amount of damage when talking about the totality of it's entire life span, i fail to see why it's not s tier
Putting the Zora Spear in B Tier is straight up criminal. It is absolutely S Tier, easily! It's double damage bonus & high Durability easily make it one of the very best Spears in the game. Again, Spears are great in this game not due to their max damage but their battle utility. They are just so much more effective in practice during combat than other weapon types due to their speed & ability to stun lock regular enemies. This is coming from someone who is an actual expert of the game & not someone who merely thinks they are but clearly isn't.
I think you take the reduced damage for the spears way too seriously. Especially for the Royal variants, even if they do less damage, their flurry rushes BY FAR are the best of all the weapons. Royal Spear with Molduga jaw 1 rounds each phase of Ganondorf in flurry rush. It is incredibly easy. Its damage may not appear as high as the other weapons, but its flurry DPS is better than just about every weapon in the game. I think you vastly underrate the spears
Gnarled Wooden Stick is my dark horse weapon. I mostly fuse it with giant spike balls to make a sick mace. But I usually use the untainted royal one handed swords and lynel parts.
I have a Scimitar of the Seven with a silver lynel horn fused that I use as my "main" weapon, 138 attack, just need to be mindful of when its near breaking to find a rock octoroc, it's very fun.
Mighty Zonaite sword is an easy S for me. With a captain IV horn, that's an easy 50+ damage that you can get for free because of the weapons that spawn on the Zonaite Forge island.
one thing you ofc failed to mention is that you can go 1 heart all the time if you use that armor set you get from kilton's brother since it reduces rubies instead hearts whenever worn
I'd argue sturdy stick for c. Its durability is pretty good and makes it very good as a early-mid game fusion host due to having more durability than decayed weapons which you can only get non decayed ones by the depths. No higher because an overall weak weapon. Scratch that it has utility as a pickaxe instant s tier.
My first time doing the army i used the magic staff and just held the stamina move, froze everything in an instant, and blew them away with my trusty hudson guster. Needless to say, I didnt have a single problem getting to Ganondorf.
Royal weapons are some of the best weapons in the game for skilled players, and their Durability is some of the very best. They should all be S Tier easily.
I feel like your underselling how good zora stuff is (i think its the best set of weapons in the game) its not hard to be wet basically all the time with water items, sidon, and the constant rain. you will kill literally everything in the game before you dry off one time. the zora sword is (when wet) base 24 and can reach upto 40 with a modifier then doubles anything fused to it, so a lynel horn will make the sword a 150. (being a one handed ato makes it better than the other 2 even if they have better power.) stronger than gerudo gear and more durable
Why isn't bigoron's sword s tier? That thing has the highest total numbers in the game and can deal the most amount of damage throughout it's full life span
oh my GOSH i first watched you on your og channel darkhero durring your monster hunter world im friends with you on psn its been a while how have you been good to see you posting on another channel too
I would personally say the movesets make this list feel kinda... Not entirely accurate. Spears may have less damage but they're more reliable and have the combo, flurry rush and generally more than making up for their reduced damage due to the combination of range and combo potential. Hell I would not be surprised if the reduced damage thing gets patched out like the bug it is by the time DLC comes along. Two handed swords and clubs all belong a full tier lower than where you put them because of how bad the category's moveset is, since charge attacks and throwing the weapon are the only good moves the weapon category has in the entire game. It's combos are slow and only hit twice, its flurry rushes only hit four times and in both cases the swing is so slow that one can down a few drinks in the time it takes Link to swing it twice. To put it simply, two handed swords and clubs do NOT live up to the stats, let alone the hype. One handed is clearly the best though, letting you have a shield without fusing it to the weapon, has the most reliable moveset in the game, being fairly quick, having a decent combo, the statistically best flurry rushes in the game and fairly decent damage across the board, not counting sticks and torches. Add in the boomerangs mostly being one handers, and you have easily the best category just from the moveset alone.
The reduced damage for spears isn’t a glitch like you say it is; it’s a feature that Nintendo wants to hide, by showing the damage to be more than it actually is. This is probably why the Champion’s Tunic and Divine Beast helms don’t let you see enemy HP anymore- it would reveal the truth of the damage you’re being lied to about, the truth Nintendo doesn’t want you to know. Also while most boomerangs are one handed, the strongest one (Giant Boomerang) is two handed. You underestimate its power when fused to a Silver Lynel Saber Horn. RGC is a Lynel killer. That’s its only purpose, though. If you don’t like fighting Lynels, then it serves literally no purpose.
gloom weapons are best in early game cuz everything oneshots you already if you adventure into a dangerous area, is there any difference between having 6 hearts and 7 protection agains a lynel vs having just one heart? Fusing gloom weapons to other ones is a waste of materials because of how weapon-to-weapon fusions work, just stick some big materials to your gloom sword and enjoy having near end game damage right at the start of the game, unfortunely gloom weapons are a bit fragile compared to others
Still watching, a couple of points. Gloom sword (and the other gloom weapons) have a drawback of gloom damaging you while you use them. My son discovered that this will not kill you. At the last heart it will stop penalizing you and let you just go. So...they put you to one heart...and then leave you alone. See where I'm going with this? Knight weapons. It's combinations that get the job done in this game. If you have fairies as a safety net then just try it as a strat. Very, very good. The forest dwellers weapons also get a bonus good use from dazzlefruits. Stal enemies popping up are annoying. But you did go over the best use, so that's ok. They would be easy S tier if it worked with bomb flowers. I'd have to watch more to add more.
I really don't understand the criticism of great swords, yeah you dont have your shield out like you do with a one handed sword but you can always just sheath the sword and then you do have a shield again, I like to flurry rush a lot so I do this constantly so that way using a claymore is just as safe as using a broadsword
This video was meant to come out a while ago but I got sidetracked... Sorry about that! Hope you guys enjoy the tier list and have a nice day😁

It can also demolish gloom hands

Agreed thanks ya for pointing it out now I don’t😭😂
I kinda did that in my first time endboss fight, except I used a pristine Royal Spear fused with Naydra Spike (forgetting about the Ice Gleeok Horn to fuse instead).
And yeah, a spear fused with some ice effect is very effective vs Gloom Hands, especially when high damage. I can confirm that too.
FR all the magic weapons fire 3 elemental balls instead of one
This only applies to fire, electricity, and water, cause ice is broken regardless
Attaching lizal tails increases boomerang range to a silly degree, very fun weapon. Giant boomerang+ice lizal tail is my favourite army crusher.
Does it work with the sea breeze boomerang??

The sturdy sticks are actually really good for non-damaging utilities like gleeok horns or korok fronds because of their durability. B tier, not D tier.
I really like them too
The game shoves it in your face a bunch, but mining as well!
I feel like the sticks should have been ranked based off their usefulness in fusing quick weapons or tools. Considering that's seemingly their sole point in totk, you're never meant to use them as is after unlocking fuse.
Sturdy Sticks are indeed very useful early on.
Especially if your inventory is maxed out.
thing is,the strongest freezable enemy is the silver boss boko, which isn't that strong
But then you have to try to use a sage ability mid combat and that's genuinely one of the worst experiences in the game
@@v4n1ty92 I'd normally just activate the ability before going into combat, but yea sage more abilities are annoying
Here’s a correction about the Master Sword’s stats:
When you’re near gloom enemies, the base damage (not counting the fused item) does not double; it instead does 1.5x the damage (+15).
Technically the durability of the Master Sword in BotW stays at 40, even if powered up. But yeah, breaks to easily.
It actually has 80 durability when fighting gloom enemies, which makes it the most durable weapon in the game
@@sheridan5175 Really? Whenever I durability-tested the Master Sword while glowing (No Ganondorf), the sword still lasted 40 hits, from slamming the ground to hitting enemies 40 times.
Why is the damage not doubled
@@draygon6909 Only against any form of Ganondorf does the base damage double
@@askthepizzaguyzonaite weapond will only have their BASE damage doubled

Fuse a cannon to a Mighty Zonaite Spear for a hand cannon.

It’s a fairly easy way to get an extra hit in
At least in botw there are some positions where you can hit 3 times with a quick spin
Boomerang belongs in a for sure
It's like a broadsword but with crowd control and high range
Actually, they ARE nerfed & do 35 to 40% less damage than the number shown. So yeah, you're actually wrong about that. They ARE still very useful tho

The feather sword should be B tier, you can push boats and activate things with the wind it blows, which makes it very practical

Great content! But I wish the corresponding video showed the particular weapon in action, rather than generic fight scenes.
That means that with the lightscale trident, my personal favorite weapon in the game, you can get and easy 100+ damage.
royal broadsword easy s tier. I love flurry rushing and so its my favorite weapon, plus it looks cool
no idea why it wasn't put in s tier
ok can't take serious zora weapons are all S Tier same as with Korok if you don't know why you probably didn't play the game much, from durability point and attack point with easily getting wet with Sidon plus the korok weapons using pushroom like as many times till they break to do easily 8* damage with sneaking attack im the only one that uses his strategy?
Although with gleeoks, keese, chu chus, and lynels, you still need to worry because of elemental damage.
just use that armor set that gives ruby armor or what its called
I don't think it works like that in totk, it still slammed when i ran out of stamina

Mighty Zonaite sword is an easy S for me. With a captain IV horn, that's an easy 50+ damage that you can get for free because of the weapons that spawn on the Zonaite Forge island.
Knight broadsword is one of my favourite weapons
one thing you ofc failed to mention is that you can go 1 heart all the time if you use that armor set you get from kilton's brother
since it reduces rubies instead hearts whenever worn
Am I the only one that misses the Lynel melee weapons??
Sucks that Nintendont removed them
I feel like the removal of sheilds ato puts everything that isnt a one handed weapon bellow them
I'd argue sturdy stick for c. Its durability is pretty good and makes it very good as a early-mid game fusion host due to having more durability than decayed weapons which you can only get non decayed ones by the depths. No higher because an overall weak weapon. Scratch that it has utility as a pickaxe instant s tier.

I don't understand what is meant by "you have to hit multiple times to actually deal dmg with a spear." Mine usually one-taps most enemies 😭
giant boomerang + gleeok horn = extreme AoE weapon with like 50+ damage
Even though master sword got nerfed badly, it still is the best because it is the only one which regenerates instead of completely breaking.
My favourites: Pristine royal broadsword + silver lynel horn + fierce diety. Also pristine zora sword (or spear) + molduga jaw + radiant armour + wet.
That dodge attack at 22:40 was Top Notch gaming
Royal Guard weapons on their very last hit it deals quadruple damage as well! I love my pristine RGC for Lynel slaying lol
Spears do indeed get a hidden nerf of 35 to 40% lower damage than shown... Could have been explained better.
18:27 unfortunately that isn’t the case, it does 30 damage to normal enemies, 45 to regular gloom enemies and 60 to Ganons
Do it again but rank every weapon with every different possible fuse
I think you enjoy the expression "in the entire game".
The Master Sword actually had its damage reduced to 20 in TotK, in order to compensate for fuse
At least at base level (not around gloom)
I really don't understand the criticism of great swords, yeah you dont have your shield out like you do with a one handed sword but you can always just sheath the sword and then you do have a shield again, I like to flurry rush a lot so I do this constantly so that way using a claymore is just as safe as using a broadsword
the royal guards sword can get the modifier durability up+
Great video!
The fact they took away the BOTW Yiga weapons 💀
6:40 - 6:42 mans got launched by a big froggo
