Cotter pin/key...😅 I was glad to see you break in to the motor, and that it really was in great shape. Personally, I would've changed out a couple of main gaskets, and the shaft seal, but it shouldn't be a problem to do so in the future. Love what you're doing sir, 😊
Brandon another amazing job well done I hear your voice and your hands but I don’t see your handsome face you where born to do this love 💝 from Ohio Irene and god bless can’t wait to see want is next love your dog 🐶 she is so beautiful Sukha i hope that’s how you spell her name
I replaced the water impeller a couple years ago. The housing for it needs to be replaced at some point but I don't want to spend 100 bucks on a used part that's not needed just yet. 😂
@@restrothunderroad at the shop, we did them every year. It's so finicky to get the shift rod happy on my 72 6hp johnson. Drives me nuts. That's what I have on my mariner.
I though it was "Carter" pin for a long time myself, but it's actually "Cotter" pin! Love the videos. You have inspired me to do my own sail boat!
😂
@@restrothunderroad When you find it and put it back on, it will be Welcome Back Kotter pin :)
Nice job! 👍
Great video!

Compression still really good and no leaking after running for about 20 mins so I'll probably do a full gasket change in a year or 2. 🤙⛵
@restrothunderroad A good call. If it ain't broke, don't fix it...🤣🤣

Might as well do the water pump and the lower gear oil since you have it off.
