BRITS REACTION'S: Marthas voices is so Devine and beautiful, Lucy has incrediblevoice and beautiful tone quality voice. The two sister's duet's are awesomely beautiful.

'Hallelujah' was 1st song I heard performed by Lucy Thomas. I literally fell out of my chair. Had to play it 10 more times to make sure my ears and eyes weren't fooling. Been a fan ever since.
Its great but its not even her best by any stretch of the imagination, she sings I Will Always Love You and Run To You and blows the Whitney Houston versions out the building then there are her gorgeous renditions of; Cant Help Falling In Love, Wind Beneath My Wings, Footprints In The Sand, and Somewhere Over The Rainbow just to name a few.

Lucy has an amazing voice. Martha's voice is still maturing. If you like their harmonies listen to The Prayer. Martha is only 12 in this video. Lucy is 17. They are both amazing...
Lucy's genre is more stage musical and she has co wrote a show called Rosie that is due to open in the West End late this year/early next.

I’ve noticed so many in the UK have a hard time praising someone appropriately. This was STUNNING. You both said it was good. HUGE difference. Also, they are planets away from Angelina Jordan. When I was in High School, Angelina would not make the cut to be on my high school choir. She is tone deaf. Listen to her Bohemian Rapsody. She misses every other note. I have those ears that someone like her makes my ears hurt to listen to because they are so far off pitch.
Now Lucy, I can listen to all day every day. Also if you paid attention to their reaction at the end, this shows you it was a live recording. They were both super happy of how it turned out.

Hey Steve, we all have different tastes and we will certainly give praise where it is due, we just don't tend to get too carried away and throw "super's" around or "Aaammazing" unless it is Super Amazing

Bohemian rhapsody was their first Angelina reaction . After just a few seconds , they paused and said " wow what a voice " taste vary I guess they thought at aged 13 she was far better than a high school singer .

She hasn't gone pop crazy... no tats, no piercings, no wild hair, no revealing clothing, and no scandals. Just amazing music coming from an amazingly talented young lady.
And, fame has not gone to her head. She still reads every post on her social media.

Lucy Thomas (she is British) has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 18 but like Angelina, Jordan has a voice far beyond her years.
Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Memory’ from cats.
Her musical track is musical comedy, she has already sung the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’.
She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha. Martha’s voice isn’t as good as Lucy’s but they do sound very good together.

I wasn't as keen on her Aerosmith cover as others she has done in all honesty but it was still very good as if everything this beautiful young lady sings, if I had to pick an absolute favourite it would probably have to be Somewhere Over The Rainbow, if it is humanly possible for someone to sing that as beautifully if not more so then Eva Cassidy did in her time then Lucy's version is it. I cried uncontrollable when I first heard it!
You just have to listen to Lucy's new video Broken Dreams..It's OUTSTANDING..you must not miss this

Hallelujah is absolutely brilliant , Lucy and Martha have performed other songs together they are amazing ,I don't think it's pop though more musical theatre imo. I don't see the likeness to ANGELINA , perhaps a very tenious likeness here , the long brown hair Lol. 8 .5 :-)

Your descriptions of "good," etc, are MUCH less than what Lucy and Martha deserve for their incredible skills. This is NOT an easy song to sing! Therefore, I'll say that your reaction was just "okay," maybe even "good." Anyway, I gave it a thumbs up.

lucy is truly an oustanding singer. martha is still very young so will need time to progress if singing is something she wants to do.
compared to angelina and the amount of exposure she has got in america, lucy is only marginally behind in subscribers which is pretty telling.
I wouldn't say 200 thousand is marginal , the exposure ANGELINA had in USA was at aged 13 at aged 14 she signed for republic records, since then she has been attending school she is now aged 16 and to date has not been promoted by her label it's rumoured her album will be released early next year it's then that we can expect her label to promote her heavily.
Lucy is destined to be a star of musical theatre. She is only 18 and Martha is 13. This particular performance is great but not their best,."You Raise Me Up" and "The Prayer" are stunning and Lucy's cover of Snow Patrol's "Run", recorded when she was 15 is simply sensational.

Would love you to react to some of Lucy’s latest covers, perhaps start with “Always remember us this way” Lady Gaga, she is a great talent with a big future when she decides to go for it. She does all of the big classics very well, we are soooo jealous that England has so much talent.
Lucy now has over half a million utube subscribers and over 80 million views, early days yet but that’s pretty impressive.

Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Elvia Presley, Aerosmith, Adele, Lady Gaga to name but a few, all very popular and successful artists, and Lucy nails covers from them all, so if I was a betting man I’d say that the odds of Lucy Thomas being popular and successful are very good.

Hi and thanks for the comment, just to clarify we have been following other young artists, Angelina Jordan and also Amira Willighagen and they are both very impressive and still only just getting noticed.
As for Lucy, we bot h agreed that she was good on a first time hearing her and she was also duetting so it was hard to give a full review of just Lucy.
We may well follow up with more from Lucy and follow her progress.

Vibrato is not generated through the mouth movement though many use it. A technically good singer, like Lucy, does it all in the vocal chords.

To my way of thinking,Lucy can out-sing any of the current female singers…quality of voice..range..power..when needed and the emotion that she puts into her performance show her pure talent.Martha complements her superbly and she is a very talented young lady in her own right and makes her own mark in any performance.

Lol you guys have Angelina on the brain comparing Lucy Thomas to Angela Jorden is like comparing Maria Callas to Etta James. Both outstanding voices, the comparison ends at young and female, frankly I prefer originality and the ability to compose ones own music, instead of living off of covers.
Angelina is not living off covers , in fact she belongs to a very well off family .She sings because she loves being on stage , performing live. Many artists perform covers before they make it big , Adele is just one example . Angelina is only aged 18 , she wrote her first 2 songs aged 10 / 11 . And several more since .Her ep old enough has all 6 originals co written . Angelina is currently working with Grammy winner Toby gad ( writer and producer ) They have written " bad valentine " to be released in about 2 months . However a authorised performance / video is available on TH-cam if you're interested.
As a Brit, Lucy is the fabulous singer but by now I’m sure you have discovered that. Lucy can sing effortlessly with breath control so doesn’t need to open her mouth wide or strain. In my opinion those others you mentioned don’t stand up to Lucy. But nice you feature the Thomas’ and share your opinions.
Lucy was 13 on The Voice Kids. Now her ‘Hallelujah’ with combined editions has 68 million viewers and growing on that one song, and I don’t consider that her best song.
For a duet should also check out their song ‘The Prayer’ with over 5 million viewers, maybe 6 now. Their version isn’t in your list, so go watch it and add to the millions!
It’s not your preferred music, but in any case it is a masterpiece so well worth a reaction.

Do you know that her channel reached more than 80 million views? ( In , only, few years)
Do you know that her cover of " hallelujah" is reaching 23 millions views in less than 2 years.
Do you know she reached 500 K subscribers?
To get these results, you must be more than average, as you think she is.
Did you listen to her singing few original songs from the musical : Rosie? Soon, she will be the main character of the musical.
Did you listen to her singing : hallelujah? all by myself? Or wind beneath my wind? or prints in the sand? or somewhere ( west side story), or any other songs she did?
She is doing all of them in her own way .
You have in Britain , a young, talented and charismatic singer like Lucy and I do not feel you really care to know more about her.. a shame.

Wow, you really got upset they we didn't know anything about a young artist from Britain, well we have a few here and we just found out about Lucy,
She was good but so are many other your artists and we don't know everyone, Britain is still quite a big place.
As we said, this was our first time hearing her, so your question about all the other songs she has done, would be 'NO' as we only just heard about her.

I wrote the comment as I was disappointed, i felt you were underating Lucy.
She is a lot of more than " above average" . Her TH-cam channel results are the proof .
About Angelina, Daniela, Amira ( for her it is a little different as she is more in the "Opera" type of singing), they are all over youTube reaction sites. I do not know one site that did not do a minimum of 4 of 5 reactions to these singers. I cannot say they are not good , but there is an overflow..
There are , like Lucy , other very good young singers: Connie Talbot ( another British girl), Benedetta Caretta, Morrisette, Sohyang, with a lot of less coverage. Check them too. They are also very good.
I discovered Lucy , in 2020. Since then, I am bewitched by her voice.
The covers she does are always with a " Lucy twist".
Apart of covers , she has few originals songs from the musical : Rosie.
"Starlight" being the most successful.
Listen to " hallelujah" or " all by myself".
Or any other song you will get recommendations. You will understand my point of Vue.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

BP1 & BP2, I have rewatched and respect your reaction and love that you have responded in the way you have to Lucy’s fans who were a little surprised and disappointed in this reaction. Thank you for your responses.
Lucy’s followers have had so many reactors like yourselves just blown away, she takes us all on a journey, that fine balance of performing a cover that is her own but also similar to the artist that originally sang the song, which is in fact the reason we loved the song and it was a hit in the first place. Lucy is just a great story teller, she has the ability to stir up emotions. I must admit, I am hooked and get great joy out of watching a reactor get similar emotions to me from one of Lucy’s performances and I hope to experience that with you guys sometime soon.

Much better voice then Angelina Jordan in my opinion and I like Angelina but Lucy has one of the greatest voices ever in my honest humble opinion, it is right up there with; Eva Cassidy, Karen Carpenter, Barbra Streisand etc etc....

Sorry Guys but you really seem reluctant to recognize how great these singers truly are, particularly Lucy. To call them good is very tepid and weak on your part. Lucy has about 60 songs on her channel and has amassed close to 115 million views now with 648,000 subscribers. She is only 18 years old with maturity beyond her years. Her voice is remarkable. Hard to believe that you guys are so disconnected from how special she really is. Kind of a mystery to me. Almost makes me want to unsubscribe.

@@BritPopsReact OK Guys, I forgive you for that reaction 5 months ago. I think you are starting to warm up to Lucy. She is not cut from the same cloth as many of the current young singers are. She does not use bells and whistles to hide behind because she is a genuine superb vocalist. You guys should be proud of having such an outstanding and phenomenal artist. As time goes on, you'll see her rise to the top tier of the industry because she is unique and people are very hungry for a genuine star with a pure voice and beauty made in heaven.
This is one of my favourite Christmas carols, I had to check it out. I'm afraid I've been spoiled by listening to Amira, there are half a dozen you tube clips of her singing it, and hitting that high note at the end. One of the best is a 3:30 vid of her at the Albert Hall, when she was 10, but there is one of her singing it the following year at the canisius church in Nijmegan, which is up there as well.
I wish this pair well, but when you have heard the angels sing, there is a lot of ground to make up.

I assume "Brit Pops" have some qualifications to justify their superior attitude whenever they do a reaction, like decades of experience in producing successful music. Their "superior attitude" is what bothers me! They remind me of the irritating neighbour that constantly pisses off everyone in the vicinity, even a warm, sunny day is a reason to loudly complain about the weather!
