I have been watching Lucy Thomas every since the voice kids. She is one of the most amazing vocalists that I’ve ever heard even when she was very young, and with the addition of Martha her little sister and this particular song, I am lost for words just like the both of you were lost for words when the song ended.. absolutely stunning, Martha is sounding so much more matureThen when I first heard her. Lucy is teaching Martha how to sing and she’s teaching her very well. So we all know that she’s a superstar, (if you agree with me please give her a like)
I have to wonder if the recording of this song, because of the fantastic acoustics, was not sung in one of many century-old churches in England? Another unforgettable duo, Lucy & Martha...can’t get enough!
I've been watching Lucy for a long time now. Quite frankly, I've never seen anything like her. And her sister has matured into her voice also. Together they are just heavenly! Thank you for the great review!!
Lucy is the greatest singer of her generation and Martha isn't too far behind but as a duo they're head and shoulders above any other duets that I've heard. I'm so glad you've managed to discover them and enjoy reacting to their performances so much. 😊
Thanks to Ginger and Mike for bringing this wonderful rendition of The Prayer. Lucy has such a wonderful voice and Martha is very good too. Their harmonies are out of this world. Two very talented young ladies. It is a privilege to ear them.
Wow, that was absolutely a beautiful sister duet singing that song to perfection and it gave me goosebumps because that's how sweet and harmonizing it was, and just beautiful to hear these two talented Ladies sing! ❤
Lucy is so consistently powerful that it's simply astonishing. I was ecstatic, too, to hear Martha's clear, strong high notes; her voice continues to mature and impress. Both singers carried notes to fullness with strength and beauty - excellently duet, ladies! 💚💚
Beautiful performance between the two sister's duet. There synchronization is perfectly excuted powerful cover song's. Thank you Mike and Ginger for having the two sister's.
Thank you for another great reaction video... Amazing performance from the Thomas Sisters. Martha has found her voice. I suspect we'll be hearing a solo or two from Martha soon. She has had a great role model, her big sister Lucy. Both have grown in front of our eyes. Both have grown musically, physically, and professionally. Only the best wishes for both of them. Most are not aware how challenging it is to harmonize. Yet, the Thomas Sisters not only harmonize perfectly, they match pitch, volume, breathing, vibrato, and they do it with 1 microphone. There is no clever sound editing. It is as they are singing live for just us. Each and every duet from them is better than the last.
Mike & Ginger, you spoke about the special harmonies that the Thomas sisters’ have, well a viewer on another video stated it perfectly: blood harmonies! I guess there isn’t any better way to put it! They are fantastic aren’t they!!
Mike and Ginger, another Lucy 'supporter' has mentioned this so I will as well: please react to Lucy's incredible masterpiece: "She Used to be Mine", which was done when Lucy was 14.......please ignore the age because we already know her vocals, even at this age, were already top notch and her vibrato is approaching world-class! Yes, we know this very well, but she takes the concept of 'empathy' to a whole new level...........extremely powerful, passionate, emotional, gut-wrenching performance here! Ginger, since you have shed a few tears in the past on seeing Lucy, get ready for some spare hankies on this one.......
Just discovered them today, they are incredible! What a gift, for me the greatest musical discovery since Angelina Jordan nearly two years ago... great reaction too! Thanks!
You did it again Im crying like a baby I love this song and sang it in the club I perform in. This song gave me the strength i needed during the pandemic and now as i am going thru serious medical problems.
Hi, I would like to recommend Lucy and Martha singing “Oh Holy Night”. This was the duet before “The Prayer” and is just as good, you will love it! 🙂🇬🇧
Martha's Italian is quite unbelievable for the young girl she then was ..... and you know many people will have found their whole performance maybe even better Emotionally than Celine and Andrea's. Thank-you.
All latest covers from Lucy are soul's inspiring songs: O holy night Wind beneath my wings Footprints in the sand The prayer These songs are about: love, kindness, careness, altruism, goodness. How can we not love her and her sister? I agree with other subscribers. The Bette Middler song: wind beneath my wings covered by Lucy is a must to listen to. Her beauty and her voice take us to heavenly grounds 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰🥰🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
There so many singers can do songs very well, sometimes soothing, sometimes dramatic. Lucy is a singer that you can listen to over and over and never get enough. I could put any of her songs on continuous loop. Martha is almost there the same way.
There are so many incredible versions of this song - For the longest I personally thought the very best version was the Donnie McGlurkin - Yolanda Adams version but just for a pure pretty sound this version is most pleasing to the ear - ABSOLUTELY Beautiful - Martha has really developed into an incredible single and Lucy is simply my favorite singer alive
You have got to hear Lucy's cover of Somewhere and Wind beneath my Wings. They are just sublime. You wont' hear it better. Really they should be a must for you.
I listen to all there songs and play them again and agin... love to hear the Fam. Thomas sing... great voices en also good looking hope we can hear them more and more.
You should listen to Lucy's cover of "Always Remember Us This Way" from "A Star is Born". I think it is her best rendition of any song she has done so far.
Mike, you are correct in identifying 'something more' in their vocals. I noticed it in other songs Lucy has performed. I think it has to do with Harmonic Overtones. When certain pitches are sung along with certain notes played , instead of 1+1 = 2, it is more like 1+1 = 4. I first heard it in 'Memory' at 3:10 when Lucy is singing 'another day is dawning'. Distinct complex duel tones, Lucy's front vocal track on top of her background track, perfect harmonizing with herself. Then it goes on into big Crescendo and full forte until end. From that point on, you are completely captured by the emotion. Brain is trying to figure out what it is hearing. I have identified it in other songs as well. In 'Reflections' several places; 1:35 'someone I don't know' and 3:33 'I'm forced to hide'. There is some of that in most every song at different points. I'm not sure if it is intentional and tweaked in final edit, or it just happens. I read that not everyone can hear Harmonic Overtones, but I'm guessing most can. I shared this with the Facebook Fan Club to see if they too heard it. They did. I'm not sure the exact definition or application of the term, but both of us can't be crazy. We hear it loud and clear. You typically wear headphones, the effect would be more pronounced with them. In one of my comments to Lucy, I tried explaining this to her, also thanked her label for using it. I could dissect all of her songs, and do in a limited way. It's part of my Objective vs Subjective grading I apply. I would rather just listen and get carried away with the story she is telling with her music.
As always I really enjoyed your reaction, and would love to see your reaction to another great duet of "The Prayer". Fernando Varela invited Jackie Evancho to make a guest appearance on his PBS Special, and "The Prayer" was one of the two beautiful duets they performed together. The other was "A Thousand Years", both are truly amazing.
I also have to add I will always love you. I believe it is the best version every. Whitnay was flamboyant. Lucy has that and it is more musical. Expresses the emotion better.
Hi from the 🇬🇧 You should check out their latest video just out, The Climb. Very different from this performance, but great still. Martha in particular is getting better and better.
I love watching you 2 react to some spectacular artists. I love anything Lucy & Martha Thomas. Can I suggest watching a Father & Daughter duo named Mat & Savanna Shaw, they are incredible. And they have such an awesome cover to "Pie Jesu". It may not be a normal cover that you would review, but Savanna is incredible and she is only 18 yrs old. Anyway, thanks for doing what you do!
Hi Ginger , Hi Mike. Lucy , just published a new solo video. What can I say? The music is from a forgotten classical music composer: Rachmaninoff The song from a good forgotten singer: Eric Carmen.. ( seventies). But anyone knows the cover done by Celine Dion. Please listen to Lucy singing : All by myself. ( Put a seat belt , not to fall from your chairs😉😉😉😉😉😉) Enjoy👍👍👍👍👍🥰🥰🥰
It not a contemporary song but if you want to hear the best torch singer ever in the 1950s, listen to Julie London's The More I see You or When I Fall in Love. She was magnificent. The ultimate roof top bar singer ever. There is no one better than Julie.
Perfection doubled
VERY NICE - !!!!

I love it when you introduce new singers for me, and they are so good they make me tear up. This was wonderful, thank you, guys 💖🌼
Our pleasure 😊 - G
One heck of a vocal performance, love the natural backdrop, pretty cool.
You need to listen to "She used to be Mine" when Lucy was only 14. It is beautiful and one of the most tender and soothing songs I have ever heard.
Thank you Mike and Ginger for your great reaction. We agree, Lucy and Martha are truly amazing, those harmonies and vocal range, just wow!!! 😊🙏❤️🇦🇺
Martha is so articulate, and knowing how independent she is, not a follower, stronger and stronger vocals with each new song....
Wow just wow
You have got to hear Lucy's cover of Somewhere and Wind beneath my Wings. They are just sublime. You wont' hear it better. Really they should be a must for you.

Lucy Thomas can definitely be the voice of Disney princess
You need to check out Lucy’s cover of Wind Beneath my Wings. Really shows just how extraordinary her voice really is.
Footprints in the Sand, as well.

Absolute perfection
A great reaction to a beautiful performance.
