Recently purchased one of these, you definitely need the amplifier hooked up to get reception, was disappointed, my old school crank up RV antenna still has a superior picture to this Televes,,, which seems to like to pick up its signal from a forty-five degree angle instead of directly aimed...
Just ordered this from Y'all, and can't wait to try it out! It's replacing a GE antenna, that works OK, but just doesn't seem to pull in stations that well, that are 40 miles away. I tried using a GE preamp, but it seems to be a little shady as well, LOL! I'm really hopeful, that this will be a good replacement.
@@dmo848 The GE Pro is OK, just not a good fit for living so far from the city. The difference was pretty good, but I might get the larger Televis in the future, just to help get some of the fringe channels, that have issues in bad weather.
While the "blind" attempt at assembly is an interesting exercise, the reality is that by just glancing at the instructions an Ellipse will come together in 60 seconds: th-cam.com/video/4jFfVEN-gFM/w-d-xo.html
