I actually know this woman (the mother) because i used to work with her a few years back at a Kia dealership selling cars and I happen to know that she is an extremely good person with very strong morals. She works really hard and my impression of her was that of a caring but also very strong person. I love the way that she handled this and commend her for her ability to stay focused on her child and calm. I just wish that someone could have stepped up for them and I definitely understand why the father didn’t step in with there being multiple large black men standing around as he gets racially abused. Its just very upsetting to see someone that you know and respect being treated this way

I was in college in the 80s. The entire floor of my whole dorm would gather around the TV on Thursday nights, black, white, hispanic, didn't matter.... we all gathered around the TV to watch the Cosby show. Nobody called it a "black show" or a "white show." It was just great comedy. What a shame we've allowed someone to ruin that kind of unity!?!

I was assaulted by an elderly black woman on a bus. I offered her my seat and she spit in my face and hit me in my head and ran off the bus. I couldnt believe the hatred i felt from her. I didnt understand it at 17 yrs old and white. I wasnt raised to be hateful of any other race.

I sat in the wrong seat by accident on a plane once. I was actually on the wrong row but people were still boarding & I quickly grabbed my seat to get out of the isle & the passenger’s seat I took by mistake was a teenage black girl. Her parents were the row in front of her & her father started calling me every name in the book , cussing me as he literally screamed at me making a huge scene. He was so disrespectful & rude & clearly hated me bc I was white. I apologized & immediately started moving to my correct seat but he made it out to be whitey thinks she is privileged. His poor daughter was horrified & embarrassed by her dad. She cried & kept apologizing for his actions. I told her I was sorry for her & her dad was consumed with hate & I would pray for him. It was a terrible flight. I’ll never forget it.

I grew up in the Bronx and was physically attacked a few times because of racial reasons. On my first date with my wife, a black man just walked up to me and hit me in the face while I was walking with her. I have been followed home. I have been harassed. I have been called racist language by African Americans. When I tell my white friends about this they get upset because for them, African Americans cannot be racist and they assume that I must have done something to provoke it. I never did. My Mom never learned how to swim because groups of African American girls would pick on her because she was white. They held her by the ankles over the East River when she was a girl, routinely, when she would walk home from school. Despite all of this, I treat all people as brothers and sisters. Idiots will find a reason to be idiots, no matter the race. I just try not to be an idiot but this is something that I usually can't talk about because other white people shut me down. Love for all.

A few years ago in London, UK, I got chatting with a really cool black guy in a pub (btw, I'm white). He was a professional writer and as a result of his work, he had travelled the world extensively. During our long conversation consisting of many topics, he mentioned something that really surprised me... he said that the most racist part of the world he had visited, was Africa. When I asked him how can that be, he stated that _"it's purely due to the wide difference in skin tones across the entire continent - dark people deeply dislike the lighter-skinned, and visa-versa - some feel superior, whilst others feel inferior."_ I just thought I'd share that piece of information with those who incessantly talk about white oppression against 'their ancestors', but have never even experienced today's Africa where racism and slavery still exists, or other non-white oppressive/racists parts of the world. Also, when the whole BLM situation kicked off, it reminded me of something that happened in the late 1960's. I live in England, and when I was a 10-year-old boy, my four best friends in my 'mostly white' junior school - in fact my only friends - were; a Pakistani, an Indian from Kenya and two British black boys, so clearly, I was NOT racist and I still remember their full names. Anyway, one of the black boys used to come by my house in the mornings (which was really out of his way), just so we could walk to school together... coincidentally, his name was Floyd. He was a really nice boy, kind, softly-spoken and considerate. However, in the playground one day, out of the blue, he started telling other kids including me, that he now wanted to be referred to as 'black' instead of coloured. Back then referring to black people as 'coloured' was normal and they even referred to themselves that way, hence nobody found it offensive. So this was a very strange thing for Floyd to say, especially as none of us ever talked about or referred to one another by our skin colour! The subject simply NEVER came up. But when he told me this, I was confused and I looked down at his arm and innocently said _"But Floyd you're not black, you're brown."_ At that point he also looked at his arm and with a sad expression, just quietly said _"Oh, yeah."_ We then went back to class, and nothing was mentioned again. But over the following few days, his personality rapidly began to change towards me. He stopped coming by my home in the mornings and at school, started to be argumentative, quite aggressive and then began bullying me... no-one else, just me. It got to the point when I was eventually scared to go to school (he was a lot bigger and stronger than me). I couldn't understand what had happened to my good 'friend.' Long story short, my mother could see there was something seriously wrong and I finally told her. That's when I reluctantly went to Floyd's house with her because she insisted on 'having a word' with his mother. After that, his bullying stopped... but sadly, we were never friends again. Why do I mention all of this? Well, many years later, I came to learn that this happened at the very same time that the Black Panther movement was at its peak in the U.S. (1968/9) and their anti-white message also quickly spread to England. Trouble and some riots began to then kick off _en masse_ in a few mostly black populated areas, e.g. Brixton in South London. Anyway, someone at Floyd's home must have told him that children need to now refer to him as 'black' instead of coloured, and they possibly also spoke to him - or he overheard - about 'white supremacy' or slavery?! Maybe someone had even told him, that I had insulted him by saying he was brown and not black? I don't know? But this just goes to show how easily and quickly people, especially kids, can be negatively influenced and indoctrinated. I went from being Floyd's best friend one day, to being aggressively bullied by him just days later, without even knowing or understanding WHY? Fortunately, the Black Panther ideology didn't affect society too much in the UK (probably due to the Internet not existing) and several years later in 1970/80's London, when I used to frequent Disco's, music concerts, etc., with friends... like Crowder said... everyone danced and listened to the same music, and we all got along, without even thinking of colour. It's sad to see that genuine racial progress has now seemingly reversed! Finally, all the best to everyone reading this - whichever skin colour or skin tone you happened to be born with.
Sooo Floyd learned who he was and all these years later you still don’t get it smh… Colored is not a term he should’ve had to live with. And you should know by now when black people start learning the real history the first emotion is gonna be anger, it just needs to be guided so it’s constructive not destructive. My kids currently grow up in a white neighborhood and they get bullied by white kids... I think any situation where you are the minority this will happen... I dont think their parents teach them that black kids are weak any more than I think that the parents taught their kids in Baltimore that you and your siblings are weak I recently gave my son and daughter permission to fight back after talking to the teachers over and over about it... now all of a sudden they are taking it seriously to fix the issue

@Lavidah it’s very subjective explaining where you’re from. I played sports in high school in mid nineties. Most of my friends were black however I witnessed time and time again black kids only picking on white kids. I very rarely saw any white kids picking on black kids. Say what you want it’s your own personal experiences and that’s what shapes you as an adult. Racism is most definitely taught on both sides.

I also know that black on black crime outweighs white on black. I think we have to look at each individual thing regarding race. It’s very very subjective… I also think that black people who were persecuted in the 50’60’s have kids that are in there 40’s now which is my generation and they taught their kids not to trust white people and that white people were bad etc etc. I know This FROM PERSONAL Experiences that I had in high school. My black friends would tell me that their parents didn’t want me at their house and they didn’t want them hanging out with me. Not all of my black friends but quite a few. I grew up in Baltimore too. Back in the 80s and 90s when it was one of the top or the top murder City and heroin City. Was the only white family for several blocks. Neighborhood was so bad the trash truck needed a police escort, bodies were routinely found in the park, and the gang didn't want/allow "outsiders" in the neighborhood. When I was young had many black friends until an older kid asked the others why they were hanging out it a "derogatory name for white" kid. Next thing I knew I lost friends and if I went to one's house they would look up and down the street from their door to see if anyone would see them about to hang out with me. Was in many fist fights (learned to box the hard way) due to me being the minority and if I began winning others would jump in on me. They didn't pick on whites because of some perceived weakness someone was displaying . They just picked on and bullied them because they could (usually in a group and had bravery being in a group). I've lived in the north, south, snd western United States (around the world too). The south is more open (honest) with their racism and don't hide it. You know who's racist and doesn't like you because of your race (or something else). The north hides it and is more insidious. They'll be nice to your/someone's face but will cut them down as soon as their back is turned (won't hire them, try to get them fired, withhold promotions, talk bad with racial slur names when they think it's safe, not leave a tip, etc.). The west is also a bit hidden also (less than the north).

As a white dude growing up in the hood I can confirm I had 4 instances in my younger years where I got punked out of my stuff. 2 times it worked the other 1 time fought back and got jumped and the last time I was packin a 9 and it finally stopped lol. I don't know if it's taught but I definitely got targeted because I didn't have anyone that would have my back being the only white dude.
I grew up in the hood as well, im a white female and the most violence I have even lived threw in my life came from the black community as a child.... I was targeted, jumped and bullied on a daily basis because of the color of my skin. I was one of 5 white kids in my school and the only white kid in my neighborhood at the time. Despite receiving nothing but hate from an entire community for being different.. I still don't harbor hate nor do I tolerate racism in my life. This was in the 90s as well as seems that it has gotten way worse. I can only pray that people stop teaching hate and start teaching that being different is ok.
@bastiat I'm not sure what you mean but yes I did make a few friends growing up in the hood but the majority was not so friendly. And alot of it is the product of rising. Now I could of been a hateful person growing up too as, hate was a lesson I was taught repeatedly but I also learned in all that darkness that I can break a cycle and not be filled with hatred. I don't believe people are idiots, I believe they are taught something and they don't know how to break free from that cycle and continue it to the next generation. A wise person learns from their mistakes but a wiser person will learn from others.

The way the maniac on public transportation was speaking to that family is so sad and scary. I find it to be a total mindscramble. How can someone who come from generations before them, who were treated like this simply because of their skin color, and then treat other people like this based on the same premise? And I don't care what anyone says, I grew up in the 70-90's, and we did get along with each other! There were kids of all races at the parties and social events I went to as a teenager. I've seen way to many "audit" videos, as well as Alex Jones and Tucker Carlson to take the video on its face. The camera doesn't lie, but editing sure does. My first question is what happened right before the segment of video they shown? What set the guy off, and why wasn't that shown? There had to be something that inspired someone to start recording. Same for their use of Sesame Street. I was around during the days of Mr Hooper, and they directly discussed, albeit at a level a preschooler could understand, the wrong with discrimination because of skin color. It wasn't Elmo being taught why someone's skin color is darker, it was usually Susan, Gordon, or David explaining to Big Bird how some people are treated not so nice because of their skin. Anything that Alex Jones says should be listened to with skepticism, cause all he cares about is ratings, money, and being right-wing.

I actually know this woman (the mother) because i used to work with her a few years back at a Kia dealership selling cars and I happen to know that she is an extremely good person with very strong morals. She works really hard and my impression of her was that of a caring but also very strong person. I love the way that she handled this and commend her for her ability to stay focused on her child and calm. I just wish that someone could have stepped up for them and I definitely understand why the father didn’t step in with there being multiple large black men standing around as he gets racially abused. Its just very upsetting to see someone that you know and respect being treated this way

This is what white people are dealing with. I'm glad someone got it on camera. I'm 48, lived my whole life never having any racial issues with any person of any color. The entire floor of my whole dorm would gather around the TV on Thursday nights, black, white, hispanic, didn't matter.... we all gathered around the TV to watch the Cosby show. I was assaulted by an elderly black woman on a bus. I offered her my seat and she spit in my face and hit me in my head and ran off the bus. I couldnt believe the hatred i felt from her. I didnt understand it at 17 yrs old and white. I wasnt raised to be hateful of any other race.

I sat in the wrong seat by accident on a plane once. I was actually on the wrong row but people were still boarding & I quickly grabbed my seat to get out of the isle & the passenger’s seat I took by mistake was a teenage black girl. Her parents were the row in front of her & her father started calling me every name in the book , cussing me as he literally screamed at me making a huge scene. He was so disrespectful & rude & clearly hated me bc I was white. I apologized & immediately started moving to my correct seat but he made it out to be whitey thinks she is privileged. His poor daughter was horrified & embarrassed by her dad. She cried & kept apologizing for his actions. I told her I was sorry for her & her dad was consumed with hate & I would pray for him. It was a terrible flight. I’ll never forget it.

I grew up in the Bronx and was physically attacked a few times because of racial reasons. On my first date with my wife, a black man just walked up to me and hit me in the face while I was walking with her. I have been followed home. I have been harassed. I have been called racist language by African Americans.
When I tell my white friends about this they get upset because for them, African Americans cannot be racist and they assume that I must have done something to provoke it. I never did.
My Mom never learned how to swim because groups of African American girls would pick on her because she was white. They held her by the ankles over the East River when she was a girl, routinely, when she would walk home from school.
Despite all of this, I treat all people as brothers and sisters. Idiots will find a reason to be idiots, no matter the race.
I just try not to be an idiot but this is something that I usually can't talk about because other white people shut me down.

A few years ago in London, UK, I got chatting with a really cool black guy in a pub (btw, I'm white). He was a professional writer and as a result of his work, he had travelled the world extensively. During our long conversation consisting of many topics, he mentioned something that really surprised me... he said that the most racist part of the world he had visited, was Africa. When I asked him how can that be, he stated that _"it's purely due to the wide difference in skin tones across the entire continent - dark people deeply dislike the lighter-skinned, and visa-versa - some feel superior, whilst others feel inferior."_ I just thought I'd share that piece of information with those who incessantly talk about white oppression against 'their ancestors', but have never even experienced today's Africa where racism and slavery still exists, or other non-white oppressive/racists parts of the world.
Also, when the whole BLM situation kicked off, it reminded me of something that happened in the late 1960's. I live in England, and when I was a 10-year-old boy, my four best friends in my 'mostly white' junior school - in fact my only friends - were; a Pakistani, an Indian from Kenya and two British black boys, so clearly, I was NOT racist and I still remember their full names. Anyway, one of the black boys used to come by my house in the mornings (which was really out of his way), just so we could walk to school together... coincidentally, his name was Floyd. He was a really nice boy, kind, softly-spoken and considerate.
However, in the playground one day, out of the blue, he started telling other kids including me, that he now wanted to be referred to as 'black' instead of coloured. Back then referring to black people as 'coloured' was normal and they even referred to themselves that way, hence nobody found it offensive. So this was a very strange thing for Floyd to say, especially as none of us ever talked about or referred to one another by our skin colour! The subject simply NEVER came up. But when he told me this, I was confused and I looked down at his arm and innocently said _"But Floyd you're not black, you're brown."_ At that point he also looked at his arm and with a sad expression, just quietly said _"Oh, yeah."_ We then went back to class, and nothing was mentioned again.
But over the following few days, his personality rapidly began to change towards me. He stopped coming by my home in the mornings and at school, started to be argumentative, quite aggressive and then began bullying me... no-one else, just me. It got to the point when I was eventually scared to go to school (he was a lot bigger and stronger than me). I couldn't understand what had happened to my good 'friend.' Long story short, my mother could see there was something seriously wrong and I finally told her. That's when I reluctantly went to Floyd's house with her because she insisted on 'having a word' with his mother. After that, his bullying stopped... but sadly, we were never friends again.
Why do I mention all of this? Well, many years later, I came to learn that this happened at the very same time that the Black Panther movement was at its peak in the U.S. (1968/9) and their anti-white message also quickly spread to England. Trouble and some riots began to then kick off _en masse_ in a few mostly black populated areas, e.g. Brixton in South London.
Anyway, someone at Floyd's home must have told him that children need to now refer to him as 'black' instead of coloured, and they possibly also spoke to him - or he overheard - about 'white supremacy' or slavery?! Maybe someone had even told him, that I had insulted him by saying he was brown and not black? I don't know? But this just goes to show how easily and quickly people, especially kids, can be negatively influenced and indoctrinated.
I went from being Floyd's best friend one day, to being aggressively bullied by him just days later, without even knowing or understanding WHY?
Fortunately, the Black Panther ideology didn't affect society too much in the UK (probably due to the Internet not existing) and several years later in 1970/80's London, when I used to frequent Disco's, music concerts, etc., with friends... like Crowder said... everyone danced and listened to the same music, and we all got along, without even thinking of colour. It's sad to see that genuine racial progress has now seemingly reversed!

Sooo Floyd learned who he was and all these years later you still don’t get it smh… Colored is not a term he should’ve had to live with. And you should know by now when black people start learning the real history the first emotion is gonna be anger, it just needs to be guided so it’s constructive not destructive. It’s not taught in schools where it should be so it’s taught properly by professionals, so we get it raw and uncut at home from our parents who only want us to be wary for our safety and they don’t have the thought or concern of how it may play out in the real world. @Lavidah it’s very subjective explaining where you’re from. I played sports in high school in mid nineties. Most of my friends were black however I witnessed time and time again black kids only picking on white kids. I very rarely saw any white kids picking on black kids. Say what you want it’s your own personal experiences and that’s what shapes you as an adult. Racism is most definitely taught on both sides.

We got off subject… I think everyone’s personal experiences shape you and we have to have enough sense and emotional intelligence to see what’s right and what’s wrong and what’s truth and what’s just emotions.
I grew up in Baltimore too. Back in the 80s and 90s when it was one of the top or the top murder City and heroin City. Was the only white family for several blocks. Neighborhood was so bad the trash truck needed a police escort, bodies were routinely found in the park, and the gang didn't want/allow "outsiders" in the neighborhood.
When I was young had many black friends until an older kid asked the others why they were hanging out it a "derogatory name for white" kid. Next thing I knew I lost friends and if I went to one's house they would look up and down the street from their door to see if anyone would see them about to hang out with me. Was in many fist fights (learned to box the hard way) due to me being the minority and if I began winning others would jump in on me. They didn't pick on whites because of some perceived weakness someone was displaying . They just picked on and bullied them because they could (usually in a group and had bravery being in a group).
I've lived in the north, south, snd western United States (around the world too). The south is more open (honest) with their racism and don't hide it. You know who's racist and doesn't like you because of your race (or something else). The north hides it and is more insidious. They'll be nice to your/someone's face but will cut them down as soon as their back is turned (won't hire them, try to get them fired, withhold promotions, talk bad with racial slur names when they think it's safe, not leave a tip, etc.). The west is also a bit hidden also (less than the north).

As a white dude growing up in the hood I can confirm I had 4 instances in my younger years where I got punked out of my stuff. 2 times it worked the other 1 time fought back and got jumped and the last time I was packin a 9 and it finally stopped lol. I don't know if it's taught but I definitely got targeted because I didn't have anyone that would have my back being the only white dude.
I grew up in the hood as well, im a white female and the most violence I have even lived threw in my life came from the black community as a child.... I was targeted, jumped and bullied on a daily basis because of the color of my skin. I was one of 5 white kids in my school and the only white kid in my neighborhood at the time. Despite receiving nothing but hate from an entire community for being different.. I still don't harbor hate nor do I tolerate racism in my life. This was in the 90s as well as seems that it has gotten way worse. I can only pray that people stop teaching hate and start teaching that being different is ok.
@bastiat I'm not sure what you mean but yes I did make a few friends growing up in the hood but the majority was not so friendly. And alot of it is the product of rising. Now I could of been a hateful person growing up too as, hate was a lesson I was taught repeatedly but I also learned in all that darkness that I can break a cycle and not be filled with hatred. I don't believe people are idiots, I believe they are taught something and they don't know how to break free from that cycle and continue it to the next generation. A wise person learns from their mistakes but a wiser person will learn from others.

In 3-4 years I had about 3-4 altercations that could have easily turned violent. 3 of them was bc someone thought I was looking at them when I wasnt lol.. The way the maniac on public transportation was speaking to that family is so sad and scary. I find it to be a total mindscramble. How can someone who come from generations before them, who were treated like this simply because of their skin color, and then treat other people like this based on the same premise? And I don't care what anyone says, I grew up in the 70-90's, and we did get along with each other! There were kids of all races at the parties and social events I went to as a teenager. We all went to school together, liked most of the same music, and movies. It was a great time, and it is so sad to see what society has become.

I am a American first, from Oklahoma and a Native. A lot of Black people bullied and assaulted any white person who was not black or black enough to them. If other blacks tried to stop it they would call them sell outs, white lovers and haters of their people. Some Blacks would not do others like that but more were haters. They were the racist people in public schools. A Lot of people look white but are mixed and love all their family from multi culture. My first question is what happened right before the segment of video they shown? What set the guy off, and why wasn't that shown? There had to be something that inspired someone to start recording.
Same for their use of Sesame Street. I was around during the days of Mr Hooper, and they directly discussed, albeit at a level a preschooler could understand, the wrong with discrimination because of skin color. It wasn't Elmo being taught why someone's skin color is darker, it was usually Susan, Gordon, or David explaining to Big Bird how some people are treated not so nice because of their skin.

I'm about to retire... for the rest of my life I'd like to live in a world, in a United States, where everyone gets along no matter race or ethnicity or whatever.
