I like the forest green, all that crusty stuff on the chrome is from sweating mine tries to do it in a climate controlled garage just got to keep up with it.
Great Find!! I’d buy those all day long for a Grand!! I wouldn’t be surprised if you swap out starter, rebuild carb, & clean out tank that it would start & ride 3500-4500 bike easily! Hell, 3000 in parts without breaking a sweat!! Great find either way!!
@ That would be my luck 🤣, maybe you’ll get lucky and only need a solenoid, or loose wires, or you could always use one of those starter buttons instead of the solenoid
@springersadventures7654 yeah, fingers crossed. Fixing to pull Primary, the starter is already disconnected, but I still want to see what is going on in the Primary. Take care.
Dang Big Ed, that is a good deal. Heck get it running and sell it as a complete bike. Just to get someone else riding. Good to see your surgeries went well.
@susandavis5833 thanks, I've been using the 0000 steel wool. It doesn't scratch the chrome. I tried the tin foil also, but I like the steel wool better.
Big Ed if people didn’t get stuff loose interest and let them sit in a barn. I wouldn’t be able to afford most of my bikes lol. You take care and ride safe brother.
@TravisRummer yeah, I know that trick, I do that and the 0000 steel wool. I use the Marvel Mystery oil to try and prevent the bad spots from getting bigger. Thanks.
DON’T part that bike out! I flip bikes for a hobby. All that chrome will clean up. There are a dozen remedies that will clean up the rust. The rust that won’t clean up. Use the new chrome paint and a touch up brush and hit the rust spots. Use OOOO steel wool on the chrome. Mothers or Blue chrome cleaner works great. Even white vinegar and that steel wool will get rid of the rust. I see a few hours of effort cleaning, but the Harley will look great after your efforts. I just finished a Harley Heritage from New Hampshire and it was left in a shed for 10 years. It was worse shape than your Harley. It cleaned up beautifully. Just a lot of elbow grease and it’s back looking new. Sad the guy who owned that bike let it go. Such a waste. Just don’t part out the bike! There is always some guy who will buy your bike and cherish it for what it is. Nobody can afford the new Harleys. Strong market for the EVOs that are cleaned up and running.
@deanblanton-fh3gq a lot of the chrome will clean up, but there is alot that won't. My first order of business will be to try and get it running. I don't know the condition of the motor. If I can get it running without breaking the bank, I will sell it whole.
love those old evo's....even if they're green
I love them , too.
I like the forest green, all that crusty stuff on the chrome is from sweating mine tries to do it in a climate controlled garage just got to keep up with it.
That rust is from them leaving it in an old barn, uncovered. Blows my mind when people take a nice looking bike and put in a barn to rust.
You scored that bike. 👍
That's really cool and great sharing bro on your motorcycle
@@RodKrisBisdakMotovlog0627 thanks.
Nice find Big Ed. Be safe. Frank
DITTO ON THE NICE JOB I BELIEVE 2025 IS GONNA BE A GREAT YEAR.. THANSK FOR SHARING
Cool find
Just subbed. Ex. Florida resident here.
@@TheKiloG69 thanks. Where did you move to?
I like the Road Kings, that will make someone a nice ride. Take er easy Ed 🤘
Great find, I'll be watching to see where it goes. Might be interested depending on mileage.
Nice score big Ed👍🏻
Sweet
The last of the real Harley Davidsons.
Yes Sir!
I always like the early road Kings

@springersadventures7654 thanks. The thing that sucks, is I just sold 2 starters at Bruce Rossmeyers swapmeet last weekend. Lol
@ That would be my luck 🤣, maybe you’ll get lucky and only need a solenoid, or loose wires, or you could always use one of those starter buttons instead of the solenoid

@enemyilaf I have my second Heart surgery Thursday.
Nice find BigEd if I was closer I’d be interested in the tins and bags if you end up parting it out
Good luck with it brother ✌🏾✊🏾
@cruisinwithcannibal7280 I'm already wanting to keep it. Lol.
Totally understand BigEd ✌🏾✊🏾
Fine Steel wool will make it beautiful!❤
@susandavis5833 thanks, I've been using the 0000 steel wool. It doesn't scratch the chrome. I tried the tin foil also, but I like the steel wool better.
@edZILLA64 it's a lot of elbow grease but I was amazed at finish.
Hope it works out for you.

@johnhall3860 thanks,John.
😊👍🏼🏍️👋🏼👋🏼
Hell that is a deal
Just put a seat like that on me 1989 FLHTP.I think that bike will clean up just fine.
Yeah, most of the rust will come off. The mufflers, exhaust shields and the the front crash bar are the worst.
You just bought someone's dream, share the dream and keep it going, sell it for a dream price, keep the dream alive
MIGHT BE MAKING SOME CHOPPER GUYS CRAZY .

$1000 nice find. marvel mystery oil it a mystery . people park them up then life happen and never get back to it
@TheBlueBikeDoyle it's a shame, but I'm going to try and get it back on road
ONE MORE THING I TECALL THAT SHADE OF GREEN THAT WAS A TIME WHEN I HAD TO WAIT ON A LIST AS A POTENTIAL BUYER LOL
@@williamanthony5021 lol
You can get the rust off the chrome with aluminum foil and water. I'm serious, it works, try it.
@TravisRummer yeah, I know that trick, I do that and the 0000 steel wool. I use the Marvel Mystery oil to try and prevent the bad spots from getting bigger. Thanks.
@edZILLA64 oh, i never tried that. Thanks!
@TravisRummer if you use steel wool, make sure you use 0000, it doesn't scratch the chrome. You can use it by its self.
U find um ....
Well green ain't my color either....😢
@@MoeLarrycurly1 it is definitely my least favorite.
I can deal with any color but yellow. The universal color for chicken😂
