That's called beating a dead horse !!! Having lived on the Gulf Coast all my adult life I have seen this same situation many times because I worked in the automotive field . We usually called these units submarines . Salt water is death to anything that is submerged in it . I;m sure the engine and tranny are full of salt water also . That's why they get totaled by the insurance company's . Your choice but really a no brainer !!!
Waste of money.., NoT safe at all - it’s a something we don’t encourage people to do. It’s a shame we lost a beautiful CVO and we are praying for all who lost their lives and their loved ones
Yes its salvageable and it'll be fine after the proper maintenance procedures are done to it... Ill come and get it, if its not wanted and free to haul LOL 🤣🤣
You would simply have to replace anything electronic. Another Avenue Harley Davidson could pursue brand new parts of Harley, but buying them singly. Bikes like that could be saved a lot of crash bikes could be saved.
That bike is toast nothing can with stand salt water all the wiring is more than likely shot as well as the computer pull the side covers off and check the fuse box i bet they are all rusted up and the motor as well , sure you can replace all the parts and wiring but look at the cost would it be worth it good luck
Ohh that bike can be saved but you will be replacing all the electronics and wiring, the frame will need to be submerged in a bath to purge all the salt out of all the nooks and crannies and by the time all the work is done you could have just purchased a new bike, especially since this CVO is still stock
Dude the frame will rust out from the inside and break within a year. BTW that is a 2024 not 23. How the Harley people cannot tell their newest latest and greatest model is mind blowing!
The video was great but if salt water in the engine it so hard to fix .but I been riding for a few yrs. But I never owned a Harley and that's my dream .
Anything is salvageable if you got deep enough pockets.
Or you just circumvent the system and sell it to some sucker
⛓🤘😝👉💨 I'm pretty sure that's what they're doing and making money at the same time 🤣@@Irish_FLTRU
It's opening a big can of worms
I'm with Paul.

The fiberglass should be alright. Everything else is bad news 😢
Waste of money, Totally
Go ahead go for it! Live to ride!
Case of P'Blaster to get you started, spray down the whole thing. Let sit, tear it apart spray all parts down, let sit. Put back together and ride

The fiberglass and aluminum are still good. Solid Steel parts are still good if you can clean 360 surface. Chrome who cares paint it .
Anyone notice paul asked what yr it was in the start of the video? Like really

And if they have a new bike already, the old one belongs to the insurance company
Dude the frame will rust out from the inside and break within a year. BTW that is a 2024 not 23. How the Harley people cannot tell their newest latest and greatest model is mind blowing!
A 1,000 dollars what shop did you say it was at?
$1000? I'd take it
The cvo paint is painted by gunslingers in colorado springs.
I wouldn't want that bike bike no matter how good the rebuild was.
do it for the people, will make a great series of videos
@cycledrag. Hey Jack do it film it and the for a $$ donation to Bert's cause draw a name in a giveway.
Bet everyone of them bikes still gets sold just like they never been flooded
So basically saying Harley is using cheap parts and over charging people who by them
The video was great but if salt water in the engine it so hard to fix .but I been riding for a few yrs. But I never owned a Harley and that's my dream .
If you start soon enough complete disable clean oil , WD40 all electronics. You may save it.
cost would be too much and then you have problems with it
If it's be , it's up to me.
Just let them scrap that bike it's over. Saltwater destroys in no time. Junk is what it is.
JUST DO IT DONT KNOW IF YOU DONT TRY
Well, I do think you’ve lost your mind, but not for this reason. 😂. DO IT
Spend the money and do it
it can be saved ,
