20 minutes into this video and I still have no idea what’s going on 🤷🏽♂️ End of the video and i still have no idea what was going on, or what I just watched 🤣
Very thankful for this. This game is a work of art, but is also a dreadful slog to actually play. After several hours of it, I don't mind getting 'The Cliffs Notes' on it.
Scorn is the closest thing to fully fledged animated world of H.R. Giger's Necromonicon. Xenomorph and Species were isolated creatures. Scorn on the other hand is the whole book.
To me, th efirst protagonist had the same mission as the second one, however it ended up being transformed. In both character's meaning they are both working towards this gate of transendance, however it seems to me th efirst protagonist had a different change of ideals. I believe the first protagonist was lonely. And during its time as th ehybrid creature it saw many things on a lonely brutal world in witch it couldn't achieve its original goal, so it was left as a byproduct of the world it was in, and incapable of escaping or transending. However protagonist 2 WAS able to get through the puzzles and arrive, however was eventually stopped by the first protagonist. The fear of dying alone or rather, to bare a cruel and horrific world without a mate was too much for the first progtagonist, and that selfishness, sadness and fear drove it to stop the second progonist. And stopped it just JUST before it could enter the gate. The result was a final binding of them, one encapsulating the other forever as part of the fauna of the dying world. I wonder if ANY previous protagonists were able to access the gate of transendance.
Back when they were developing this game in 2017 they had planned on releasing it in 2019...that eventually got extended and said they were making a two part game. That obviously isn't happening anymore. To me the ending isn't pessimistic for the game. I have a feeling part two was going to happen as a new protagonist emerging. I'm optimistically sure that is an egg we see at the end. Who knows how long it took the first protagonist to evolve into the parasite. The game is clearly set on survival. Something tells me that the first protagonist is still alive and is waiting to be reborn and is feeding/or merging/ off the second guy. But again, who knows what could have been if the developers actually continued with part 2.
Ok so I found a theory that there are in fact 2 main characters; the first one is from the beginning to when the heart chamber explodes, and the second one is after that until the end. Also the 1st guy becomes the weird creature that latches onto the second character
I have this game, and played it . . . and I think the ending isn't what we think it is. The Protagonist (who I personally call the Protean) is on a journey though a hellscape to ascend, but dies in the end? No . . . I think it's metamorphosis, it and the parasite are merging (destroying each other) to become something else, or perhaps more than intended, in the visible cycle of the game's limited environment. But that's up to the Devs as to whether or not they want to continue the mystery with a DLC or something (which I'm hoping they do, as it does feel like half a game that just whets the palette).
You ever get the feeling this game was more about doing a sales pitch on HR Giger style home appliances ? A keycard that needs these glowing pustule thingies . A key card like robocop for your arm to operate large gates and machines ! A machine to remove it ! PAINFULLY ! A meat scooper for your weird Kinder baby thing ... A Egg nut cracker for your weird walnut baby ! A shell cutter AFTER you crack your weird walnut baby's egg ! Brain babies ! That work work as the worst foot soldiers ! A fruit squeezer to juice and crush the juice Outta your brain baby and immediately dispose of it :D A surgical doctor drone to cut the Deadspace neceomorph ripoff off your back ! MEAT GUNS ! for self defence against the slow moving pests ! And lastly your wire connection perfect drone ! Because you feel like nothing more than a shell of a man and wanna switch your body out for a robust cyclops frame ! Which still can't put up a decent fight against the faster moving neceomorph ...
So this is the equivalent of AI taking over and killing humanity? except in this world they dont have machinery, instead they have some sort of BioTech
I feel like the linearity of the games story just killed the replayability and the story of it,there was no true choices to be made and when given the outcome remained the same, had the developers made multiple endings for the different choices the protagonists made like in the bioshock games this game would have been a wonderful experience.
I played the game on gamepass. Game is very short but they made the puzzles extremely hard and there is no hud to tell you where to go so game would take longer to defeat.
So why did it attach the blade arm to the body? All it did was continue to cut into the original body and I don’t see the benefit of that? Also if the 2nd protagonist hadn’t switched back they would’ve survived cause the parasite was after its main body.
Essentially, based on the visuals: the blade was being used to stimulate the protagonist's body and keep it alive/awake so he could control the two "pregnant" androids and complete whatever process they're meant for. It was the protagonist's consciousness that was controlling them(his brain was added to the network of brains dangling above in this section). They're being used, here, to carry his body beyond the threshold to some form of ascension. A means of escape. It appears, perhaps due to the protagonist possibly dying, that the focus being used to control the androids is slipping- hence why the one carrying him stops moving and the perspective switches back to the protagonist; and he is then attacked by the 1st protagonist, who has become a parasite. The 1st protagonist couldn't escape, and now he's stopping the 2nd one from escaping as well.

How many years again did it take for them to release this game again ?
9 years
That took longer than expecting

2 hours of diamond , it worth it
Very thankful for this.
I'm religiously confused as to what the games about
time to go look for scorn theories!
Post some here in the comments if you Find any good ones! 😀
@@glp will do
Ok so I found a theory that there are in fact 2 main characters; the first one is from the beginning to when the heart chamber explodes, and the second one is after that until the end.
A fruit squeezer to juice and crush the juice Outta your brain baby and immediately dispose of it :D
A surgical doctor drone to cut the Deadspace neceomorph ripoff off your back !
MEAT GUNS ! for self defence against the slow moving pests !
And lastly your wire connection perfect drone ! Because you feel like nothing more than a shell of a man and wanna switch your body out for a robust cyclops frame ! Which still can't put up a decent fight against the faster moving neceomorph ...
Well done my friend. I'll take two of everything :)
yes insert penis into microwave and become fused with its' heating element to increase power to defrost ground beef.
I played it for 2 hours. even if the atmosphere is great, I was bored. thank you for this video
Well time to play legend of Zelda to wash this from my mind.
Lmao
Did H. R. Giger came back from the dead and made himself a video game? Cause this screams H. R. Giger's work.
Does this game have something to do with the Engineers
Hmmm, not sure

So this is the equivalent of AI taking over and killing humanity? except in this world they dont have machinery, instead they have some sort of BioTech
how much money do you guys spend just to keep up with the games? holy moly
Imagine buying games
Me: Man I really need to take a shit but I can’t, what am I gonna do?!
This game: *EXIST*
Me: Perfect!
Huh!?
I feel like the linearity of the games story just killed the replayability and the story of it,there was no true choices to be made and when given the outcome remained the same, had the developers made multiple endings for the different choices the protagonists made like in the bioshock games this game would have been a wonderful experience.
This games whole environment seems pretty phallic... To say the least 😂
Well, so to is Gigers work.. 😅
new Tool album looks good
48:35 - dude's hard even when dying
I played the game on gamepass. Game is very short but they made the puzzles extremely hard and there is no hud to tell you where to go so game would take longer to defeat.
7:30 what is that machine even cutting off the moldman?
Men: yo this game is cool
Women: disgusting
Hans Ruedi Giger would be proud.
15:33 when nnn is done
All the squishy noises give me ASMR
Ah yes a short glimpse of a best day an Imperial citizen can experience in Commoragh 😅
Idk why, but if the Flood from Halo came from a planet, I feel like this is what that planet would be
Ciekawa gra 👀👍
Watching this while eating is not a good idea skdbsjhdjdhd
The 1st protagonist couldn't escape, and now he's stopping the 2nd one from escaping as well.
this game always reminds me of prometheus
the developers took inspiration from movies like Alien and Prometheus
Damn I was hoping this was going to be a sci-fi horror fps….😢
Reminds me of dead space
dead space actually had fun gameplay and a story
I still don’t know wtf that pregnant robot thing took a knife arm for

I thought u was wrong, I see some ppl agree with me. I’m over here like damn this game looks boring asf.
@@JesusLopez-gj5ph It's just not a game to my taste. But we all have to admit here that the atmosphere, music and visual presentation are perfect. When I was listening to SCORN's music, it kind of reminded me of STALKER and a place called Glowing Sea in Fallout 4.
