I once asked myself why Weyland-Yutani didn't just outfit these secret off the books xenomorph research facilities with a staff consisting strictly of synthetics. It'd be a much better strategy p.r wise because they wouldn't have to keep it a secret because "who cares about synthetics?" At least is the sentiment that seems very common among people in the Alien universe. They're much stronger than humans, they probably don't need sleep, they seem just as smart although they lack emotional intelligence, the xenomorphs don't even acknowledge them when present (they'd need human hosts, but wasting valuable seasoned marines would be stupid) plus they wouldn't even need that many hosts to conduct viable research which also means a smaller colony, which means the chances of a rapid spread would be much less likely and mitigation of the same would be far easier and more likely should plans go awry. But then I remembered that they needed the I.P to sell which means they'd need a captivating and rich horror plot which in turn means lots of valuable and irreplaceable people (even according to the standards of a tyrannical business executive) would have to die in very grusomely and graphic ways. Lol
Can you imagine being in such a situation as a marine? No way in hell they pay me enough to deal with the xenomorphs. The fate of those who got dragged off by them is horrific. They either get out-right torn apart or be served as a living incubator for their larvae.
This is pretty cool. Why are video game cutscenes uploaded for games just released? Don’t the makers have the same copyright and blackmarket launch concerns as the movie industry? Do they view cutscenes as advertising for the game?

The scene from Cerberus is soo fucking cool, for a moment seems to be like Battlestar Galactica Batles, and the first Alien hidde in the most important part of the ship is similar to Alien 1, when the Alien hiddes in the scape pod.
Nice game, but I wish they had made a new FPS AVP game with this story-line like the awesome AVP2 from 2001 instead! That was the best Aliens game to date!
⚠️ Spoiler Alert ⚠️ You mean to tell me…that after all you could possibly do to save your marines throughout the entire campaign. They’ll still ALL DIE at the end of the last mission…in a damn cutscene!? Oh, that right there….that pushes it too far.
Damn, didn't catch those dead bodies just as it takes off...in my encounter on nightmare they survived the final assault with ease, so for me they did make it back alive. Fuck that cutscene lol
I feel like it did do it’s best as a top-down game, but I feel like it would be better just as a first person like the other newer games, it help’s immersion I feel like
Spoiler Alert! Story was good except for the ending. Characters equal storytelling potential. So with basically every character dying right at the end; all the characters you came to like are gone for telling another story and continuing their development.
Question...where are we going to see the marines?...the marines in the preview of this game....with the Sargent locked out when the Aliens attacked, and the one marine was giving his last message before the aliens probably tore him up. When will we be able to see that part of the game?
Keep in mind that you've actually got a fair bit of ordnance, unlike say Ripley, who mostly gets by on a can of hairspray and a lighter, aside from her wits and badassness. The aliens should be terrifying, yes, but once you actually bring guns into the fight, it makes sense that they drop quickly individually, particularly if you're blasting it with grenade launchers and the like. It's the swarm that's actually dangerous.
While this story was entertaining, I admit, I'm not a huge fan of the "looking from above" play style. It feels like it's distancing me from the action, instead of making me see the events from beyond the shoulders of the characters, or from their own eyes, and thus, when they come across Xenomorph Queens, or (spoilers), whatever that Xenomorph type at the end was, it kind of takes away from being impressed with the size of these creatures. Sure, the looking from above game style allows you to see more of the environment, but you can also look at the environment from what points of view that I mentioned earlier, and still be very impressed. After all, Alien Isolation was a first person style game, and it was very successful at showing the players the scenery around them. Also, one last compliment that I have about the game- I hate it when you either don't have a final boss, or when you DO have a final boss, but it's poorly executed. Sadly, the "final battle" of this story is just (spoilers again) one long chase scene, where you don't even shoot at the...what do I even call this new alien variant? Xenomorph Giant? Titan? Time will tell. Still, I'm glad that, despite these flaws, the franchise keeps on adding more and more layers to its overall lore, and I'm looking forward what we will discover in the future 😊. Also, one last thing- that new armored vehicle that you pick up halfway across the story, with the rotating back double turret, and the two gattling guns in the front? If you build this in real life (or use CGI in a live action movie), paint it black, and add just a few pointy metalic parts to it, I think that it could be a great idea for a Bat-Tank for a continuation to Robert Pattinson's Batman arsenal!😊.
A bit of a throwback to the OLD aliens comics and stuff. The aliens had some dead space Type affect on people after a while. It’s how they made them a galactic threat on their own without humans just trying to spread them/use them.
i want to know Wey-Yu's thinking: these are bloodthirsty monsters with no way to talk or reason with, and they want to use them for profit margins? it makes no sense.
First off I thought this was cutscenes only not both gameplay and cutscenes, second which part of the timeline is this because those Androids look like Seegson types and Weyland Corps never had them. Although to mention that Pryse said sell the data to Seegson when the Company no longer excist according to Data on Alien Isolation Seegson went into bankrupt the company was brought by Weyland Yutani, before the events of Aliens 50 years prior.
at least this game shows that Wayland-Yutani industry's obsession with the Xenomorph hasn't changed, I mean seriously, why are those morons so damn obsessed with those monstrous aliens?
In the comics WY wants the alien for gene manipulation research because xenos can survive in vacuum of space, has an amazing defense mechanism (acid blood ect), can overpower almost anything. It's the perfect organism so it's not surprising WY would want to understand everything about them so they can develop new technologies with it and make bank.
@@jeffreyelliott713 well what WY constantly fails to understand, is that the xenos are scary smart, they can't be contained, and they can't be controlled.

This is pretty cool. Why are video game cutscenes uploaded for games just released? Don’t the makers have the same copyright and blackmarket launch concerns as the movie industry? Do they view cutscenes as advertising for the game?
Hollywood: we are too stupid to produce a new Alien Movie
Fans: fine then we produce a alien movie.
Dark Descent is Wild ASF, Intriguing even, It's not Alien 👽 Isolation, But it's different. Graphics are Litt🔥.., Cutscenes on point, Format could be better....Full size characters, Not some Smartphone friendly BS....But it's KOOL. New Alien 👾 game for 2023. Let's ROCK 💥💥💥
If they wanna kill critters they need Ug, Lee, and Charlie. The greatest bounty hunters in the galaxy.
Now seeing this game, I want a Fallout game just like the old series 1,2,Tactics modeled after this game.
The scene from Cerberus is soo fucking cool, for a moment seems to be like Battlestar Galactica Batles, and the first Alien hidde in the most important part of the ship is similar to Alien 1, when the Alien hiddes in the scape pod.
Wait, Dark Descent is out?
It will be tomorrow
Nice game, but I wish they had made a new FPS AVP game with this story-line like the awesome AVP2 from 2001 instead! That was the best Aliens game to date!
Can’t wait to play this
⚠️ Spoiler Alert ⚠️
You mean to tell me…that after all you could possibly do to save your marines throughout the entire campaign.

Ikr!
Anyone else notice at 7:20 the screams used is the same one used for SCP-096 screaming?
I feel like it did do it’s best as a top-down game, but I feel like it would be better just as a first person like the other newer games, it help’s immersion I feel like
Spoiler Alert!
Story was good except for the ending. Characters equal storytelling potential.
So with basically every character dying right at the end; all the characters you came to like are gone for telling another story and continuing their development.
When did this game come out⁉️ Maybe i been so bogged down wit work lately, i totally must've missed it 🤬😤
Kind of wished dark descent had the gameplay style of alien isolation
Or a harder version of rogue incursion
Question...where are we going to see the marines?...the marines in the preview of this game....with the Sargent locked out when the Aliens attacked, and the one marine was giving his last message before the aliens probably tore him up. When will we be able to see that part of the game?
Tension/atmosphere/storytelling on the level of Alien Isolation.
Nice
Thanks for watching!
I wanted the double check the cutscenes because I swear the xenomorphs in this one are smiling.
cheery fellas
Anyone else found it weird that the Queens were easy to beat? I mean, come on man, make them damage sponges.

That’s gotta be the funniest thing, it’s not supposed to be, but it was. “You thought wrong!”
I was on board until the telepathic stuff, imo they jumped the shark on that one.
A bit of a throwback to the OLD aliens comics and stuff. The aliens had some dead space Type affect on people after a while. It’s how they made them a galactic threat on their own without humans just trying to spread them/use them.
That's always been a part of the franchise, I'm surprised they touched on that
The faces in this game are kind of over the top.
i want to know Wey-Yu's thinking: these are bloodthirsty monsters with no way to talk or reason with, and they want to use them for profit margins? it makes no sense.
Isn't the "Olduvai Facility" a reference to DOOM?
Come on, team! Hurry up, you slugs!
From what i found it's supposed to happen about 20 years after alien 3.
Is no one gonna mention that the otago looks like the Pillar Of Autumn?
More like the infinity lol
at least this game shows that Wayland-Yutani industry's obsession with the Xenomorph hasn't changed, I mean seriously, why are those morons so damn obsessed with those monstrous aliens?
In the comics WY wants the alien for gene manipulation research because xenos can survive in vacuum of space, has an amazing defense mechanism (acid blood ect), can overpower almost anything. It's the perfect organism so it's not surprising WY would want to understand everything about them so they can develop new technologies with it and make bank.
@@jeffreyelliott713 well what WY constantly fails to understand, is that the xenos are scary smart, they can't be contained, and they can't be controlled.
face motion capture looks way off and it's disturbing
Didn't get this game why wasn't it not like aliens fireteam or alien isolation was awesome.
seeing daniel immediately gave me PTSD
