Just did this this morning. Thanks for the video. Anyone doing this make sure you cut the vent as far to the right as possible, you'll need the clearance. And like others said pvc saw worked in minutes. Thanks again for the video.
I know it takes longer but removing the dash wouldve been cleaner. (I did mine) Glad you got it out. Your disassembly of the HUD was helpful for me to fix mine to see what it looks like. Thanks!
Not yet, because I replaced my shocks and springs instead. Got a deal on z06 springs so I decided to get new z06 shocks and just replace them all, I have 85k on my vette so it was time. I am going to get to it, Hopefully in a week or two. I do all my work in my driveway and I need great weather to do it but I live in Upstate NY and the weather sucks most of time.
Just fixed my HUD the other day, everything went rather well but to cut the duck I used a PVC pipe cable saw. I also replaced all the screws in the HUD and put washers on them. Every screw head was rusted bad so I just replaced all of them. Also it would help if you don't have fat hands like me, the two Nuts in the back on the HUD were hard for me to get to but after a while I got them. I wanted to say thanks to Texas, this video helped a whole lot, Thanks man. Also love all the videos you do, they help a lot.

Bad design from GM that the duct is on the way..had to be a way to disconnect the duct with out cutting it
