I don't find it difficult at all to move the head band adjustment. You just make it work with a strong thumb and forefinger man. The helmet is awesome.
Yeah, i get it. I do have an awesome Smith helmet and use the same system, but I find it infinitely easier to adjust that band. But I get it! Thanks for dropping by and for the note!
The added remote was from the previous design(kickstarter helmet). The previous design added the break light functionality so that is why the new remote doesn't use USB C
Thanks Andrew. I still think they could've rev'd up a new version for the Ultra that would support USB-C. For now, I've got the weird cable and just hope I don't lose it!
Because we ride on the opposite side of the road in Australia, the Apple Watch function gets all screwed up when I try to use my right arm for turn signalling. I cannot believe the software developers only tested for use cases where for left-hand-drive jurisdictions??
The back band is literally supposed to move for people with long hair so that the wheel isn’t in the way if they choose to put their hair up in a ponytail. Also, isn’t the helmet compatible with strava? If so, no need for apple workout app if I’m not mistaken as strava connects to apple health
Hey Mai, thanks for your note. I get the ponytail workaround with the band. Though I have two other helmets that look as if they work with a ponytail, but that band is much easier to adjust and work with. So Apple Health is different than Workouts which are triggered through the Apple Watch. Relive like Strava does get info from Apple Workouts so you don't even need to launch the Relive app. The Health App does sync with Strava and other apps (you need to toggle the send to Health option on) to share health related data including vitals, body measurements etc. Thanks again for your explanation! Cheers!
Thank you for your review for this helmet. I’m still comparing ultra or Matrix. BTW I love your beanie!! My dream is going to see Dead and co. Show in US. All the best! From Tokyo
Hey man! Thanks for your comment and the beanie shout out! I hope you can make it to USA for Dead & Co. show! You'll love it. On a side note, I've been to more than 80 countries and Japan has eluded me so far. Once this pandemic ends, I hope to change that! Cheers my friend!
When I turn the "on and off" beep off, it turns all sounds off. I have an older model of the ultra, and it would turn only the annoying beep off. I think that it is a software problem.
Currently the Lumos app offers a lot of customization for the front light with the exception of turning it off… So that’s a good question and a feature that probably could be an easy implementation, and certainly would have an advantage to battery life. Especially for those people that have multiple front lights on their bicycle, the ability to turn off the front light on the helmet certainly could be a good option - at least for a battery life…
Wow, I think you're the only one who is impressed by you. Personally, I don't want a history about you. Over 5 minutes into your talk about you video did you even bring into the frame the helmet. Geez man, do the review on the helmet. Have a separate video about you talking about you but this is a review about a helmet. 28 minutes, I couldn't sit through past 5 minutes. I sped through your self review of yourself talking about yourself and your adventures and just had to cut you off. I'm sorry but if you're going to review the helmet review the helmet.
Hey Elc0 - I appreciate your feedback. I agree. It even pains me to try to watch the beginning again. Fortunately, somebody posted the timestamp in the comments here to get right to the review segment. This was the first review I ever did, and I guess I was self-conscious about it. I've learned, and that's the best thing we can do-make and learn from mistakes. Unlike Vimeo, TH-cam can't update the video; otherwise, I would edit the beginning and post the review portion. Alas, it is what it is. People are used to skipping ahead, and that's all I can expect. Here's a bit of redemption in a sort of helmet review: th-cam.com/video/tE6b-CbWE68/w-d-xo.html - Enjoy and happy riding!

Complete life saver. Thanks

I agree, no problem adjusting it on my head.

Late to the party, but love the e-bike content. Thanks for the video.
@edteach3r Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed!
Please skip the preamble , thank you for the review:)
Thanks my friend! Cheers!
I don’t know the Apple Watch not turning off that well and confusing.I used the remote and also use my hand signal to be safe.
Agreed Sharon, that's exactly how I use it today.

excellent explanations. Vary helpful
Glad you think so!

Very cool explanation about this helmet thanks for the time you took to give us this nice details
My pleasure!
The reason the charger for the better remote is magnetic it makes it WATERPROOF!!!!
Makes sense, but then again the new iPhone 15 with its now USB-C connection is also waterproof - so there is a way! Cheers!
Thank you for your review for this helmet. I’m still comparing ultra or Matrix.

Weird, there are funky things with the software integration. Overall, great helmet though!
I had the same issue with the remote not pairing, my remote's battery was flat. After I charged it up it was just fine.
yeah, exactly. it's a bit kluge but works in the end. Thanks!
Do you have to replace the battery or it can be recharged?I cannot understand how to do it. Thank you
Mine works very well one my second time following the instructions. I think you just have a bad unit or helmet.
Got it working! Thanks!
can you turn off the head led light and use only the rear led lights?

@@worldrider You can create a custom flash pattern, which is off for the whole peroid...
It’s cyclist

This helmet is a piece of crap.
What would be your choice in a bike helmet that isn't crap?
Well, that was helpful…🙄
