    Hello. Excuse my ignorance if I missed it or am making assumptions which are silly buuutt... was Titanium White used? Most people do, but I only use Zinc for mixing and Flake for base painting so I'm not always certain people are using Titanium. Thank you in advance if you respond.

      0:20. Hi @manicangel7796, yes we did use Titanium White in this video. When using Zinc or Flake White your colour will remain more saturated. Hope that helps

      Flake White (or any lead white) is illegal to use in the EU for non-conservation art. Old Holland is based in the EU so must comply with local laws.
      It's nice that he shows how to "saturate" colors that dull with titanium white, though - lead is great, but it's toxic and some people choose not to use it even if it's available.

    is there any real need for yellow ochre on the limited palette if you don't do any portraits/human subjects?

    • @LennaertKoorman
      @LennaertKoorman 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Jennifer, Good question. If you don't do any portraits as you say, you do not really need the Yellow Ochre. Cadmium Yellow lemon will do just fine, and will even give you a bigger color spectrum. More options. And as you can see in the video, this way you can also just match the Ochre if you do want to use it. In the end it is all up to you.There are a lot of different limited palets you can use. For instance, I just finished a big painting with transparent colors, using only Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Orange and Alizarin Crimson. Hope this helps.

    Yo les compré como $ 400.00 en pinturas, pero tuvieron el descaro de enviarme un tubo de blanco de plomo cubriéndole la información; cuando yo les pedí que mandara
