    20mm linear rails is absolutely massive overkill for a 3D printer. You really need to have a look at the spec sheets on these things.

    Those prices are sky high. They are too proud of them rails.

      Hopefully we can learn enough from the Hiwin brand we can identify cheaper versions that yield the same quality or if its just the same as a typical V-Rail. I think the issue with some cheapie rails is there is no preload causing binds in linear movement known as "chatter". I couldn't source a cheaper name brand rail. Similar rails are actually more expensive at Misumi and NSK. We will see! Thanks for the comment!

      There are several years worth of specifics on rails. You can also order some free IGUS rail samples that have the ability to be pre-loaded.
