      I have two yaber projectors, cheap 90 dollar projectors off amazon, I use them for movies and gaming, they work just fine for my needs, can't imagine spending that kind of money... for that little bit more of entertainment. When I want bright and vivid I use my big flat screen. I use projectors to make it big. sometimes a bit grainy or low light is even better. sometimes lol

    I have a really old BenQ W500 that I bought decades ago that still works, on my 3rd bulb. It only does 720p so I use it mostly for retro stuff like Sega Genesis with S-Video. They make pretty good quality stuff.

    It has been a very enjoyable experience watching your clip, thank you. So I suppose there is absolutely no optical lens shifting with this thing, right?

  • @Cookiedon15

    At first, I was watching this without thinking about actually getting a projector. But then I realized a projector would be better than a TV for my modern gaming habits. 👍

    You must have one of these for every room by now brother. Lol They send these things out like crazy. Right on!

    I was looking for a Projector that I can move around the room ,and also play my emulated Sega Genesis, Saturn, PC Engine games, and MAME so this might be what I'm looking for.

    Love the channel , would you compare a 1300i vs 3000i Ben q, seems like they just keep pumping out products , any comparison or comments if you had some time with the 2 projectors vs. This one

    Nice. We use the ht3550. The latency sucks but it’s fine for flight simulator / forza, lego games. Amazing for movies in pitch black budget theatre room we made.

    Looks noice. $300 more on Amazon vs official site. Wow. I do really want 4k version on affordable price. Hopefully in a few years.
    What projector screen you was using in this video ?

      It was supposed to be on sale on Amazon as well, so not sure why the listing is different. The screen I used is linked in the description.

    For the CRT at 8ms, isn't that only on HDMI CRTs with passthrough? I remember reading that SD CRTs are under 2ms real response time.

    20,000 hours / 30,000 hours for the LED lamp...is that replaceable or does the unit become a paperweight?

    • @danilofierro
      @danilofierro ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Paperweight, unless BenQ can offer you a technical solution in the rare case that happens. No company sells LED replacements.
      In any case, be aware that 25k hours gives you a 8.5 years lifespan if you use it 8 hrs a day. At that point I think you'll upgrade to true 4K way before that happens.

    I know AV inputs are dead tech but I really wish this had them!

    • @frankfarago2825
      @frankfarago2825 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, the inputs and outputs here are totally bargain basement minimalist. No VGA and no USB to play back files and clips really kills it for me.

    Why don't they advertise this in ANSI lumens like the other projects they sell? For example the BenQ gv30 is 720p with 300 ANSI lumens

    I have a rookie question: if my pc is 60hz of frame rate and I connect it to this projector, if the game supports 120 hz it will project on 120hz? Or 60hz that is the max my pc can handle?

    • @SWAMPMONSTAJT
      @SWAMPMONSTAJT ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You can adjust your pc to match the refresh rate via display settings, to my knowledge any modern computer will be able to match any refresh rate. This applies to both monitors and projectors.

    Non le meilleur pour le gaming c le optoma uhd55 Optoma
    il propose également un mode gaming, permettant de réduire la latence à 16 ms en 4 K. Cependant, avec l’absence de port HDMI 2.1, l’appareil ne pourra pas rafraîchir d’image 4K à plus de 60 fps. En y connectant un PC, il sera néanmoins possible de profiter du 1080 p 240 Hz et d’un input lag de 4 ms (ou moins).

    Never use Keystone.

    • @Madlittlepixel
      @Madlittlepixel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think if you just have a cheap projector and kind of have to use keystone adjustments thats fine... but when you have a more expensive better spec projector... yeah just get it set up properly dont use digital adjustments.

    • @frankfarago2825
      @frankfarago2825 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the PJ does no have optical lens shifting capability, you need to use keystone correction most of the time. On the Projector Central database, you can search for projectors with optical lens shifting.
