The mother is a sick evil person. She says she served her time but that 13 and a half years was obviously not enough. The woman still doesn't think she did anything wrong. The time she should've gotten was life or the death penalty, no questions asked.

Well it's obvious a pathetic 13yrs in jail has not changed her , coz she was still denying it all happened on tape , she only admitted to it when she failed the lie detector , hope her life is tormented now , coz she will never change, it gives me chills just thinking about it , so glad she's been exposed for what she is , hopefully her lovely daughters can move on from this , and have an amazing life.!

Yeah. They should have done what they did to my ex step father. For every count of sexual abuse they get 100 years. My ex step father got 4 counts of sexual abuse on a minor, 100 years each, without a chance of parole.
Well, you likely would've gotten your wish had this crime been committed within the last decade or so. This took place in 1998-1999 when the laws/penalties/sentencing guidelines concerning these laws did practically next to nothing when it came to these crimes.

Honestly, out of all the talk shows, THIS is probably the most mature and credible show. Wilko's resolves things, highlights things and gets answers for the people. #1 talk show by far.

This is what I been tryna tell people. The show goes places no other show will, places that are important to shine a light on so that victims don't feel the stigma of being so affected by these things, the most taboo situations imaginable. And I don't see big egos or agendas or sensationalism or ratings-seeking, just a dedication to exposing the truth and the reality of horrific acts nobody wants to imagine humans could do to anyone else. I think Steve as a person never lost that drive that true public servants have to better society and luckily he was able to build a show around that.
Steve and his staff actually save many lives being emotionally and or physically saving lives .

Praises to the man who found, was mentally scared, and turned in the tape; to save those girls. The only ones that cared for these girls where complete strangers, its horrible, but at least people cared and put it to a stop.

In an update on the show, the man who turned the tape in appeared and his wife said he put the tape in then next thing she knew he was running out of the room vomiting his guts out.
Becka and Bertie, my heart goes out to you both. No child should ever go through anything like this. If I were your mom you would of been held as a pure princess. All my children have never had to deal with anything like that. And if you ever want to reach out and be my adopted daughter, I would be happy to be their for you. They were strong enough to make sure it doesn't get passed down to their own kids. This crime took place in the late '90s, sentencing was tantamount to being a slap on the wrist by today's standards.

I remember seeing this when i was still in 8th grade. Maybe when I was a high schooler struggling with fitting in and getting into the wrong crowd just to fit in. I remember seeing this episode and this had me crying. I couldn't even stop because the mother showed no emotion EVEN when she failed and the police already got that nasty ass tape, she STILL lied and didn't even care. I can't even picture what mother would harm there children or let someone harm them. My mother would KILL if anyone did the things these poor girls went through. I hope these girls are doing okay and are slowly recovering and living life to the fullest💕

Well apparently we have another narcissist mother, who apparently believes her own lies. She is incapable of compassion for her daughters, and will take no responsibility or hold accountability for her own luid and unspeakable assaults on those 2 girls! How anyone can subject their own flesh and blood to such atrocities is beyond my understanding.

She may have been subject to the same kind of abuse herself on some level when she was young. It doesn't excuse what she did to her daughters at all, but that's the only kind of "logical" reason I can come up with as to why. It's not even that logical because there are survivors of abuse out there who would rather hurt themselves before they turn an innocent child into a victim of that same abuse.

Typically adults are supposed to be helping them both understand and accept their sexuality, as anxiety inducing as it is. However, what was done to these kids wasn't appropriate at all...no matter what the age is. What was done to Bertie and her sister was downright disgusting.

As a mother to 2 boys and a daughter this just hurt my heart for this young woman. No one should ever have to endure that kind of pain nor betrayal from a parent.
