My question would be: did she know what he was on the list for? If it was for a false date rape accusation, you could give him a pass but if it's for fiddling kids, don't act surprised at him reoffending.

Not all sex offenders register because they molested someone. Keep in mind that something as simple as being caught pissing outside is enough to get someone. It's important to understand what crime was committed before generalizng that every offender is a POS. People genuinely make mistakes and I can understand giving "second chances" but not every crime deserves one; Especially if it involves a sex crime with a child.
There are definitely innocent people in prison. Don't be naive. Research the "prison-industrial complex" in your spare time.

Although, what you don't know is the time for the police department in charge of the case to start the procedure and I can assure you it takes a while for the victims and their families.
It took 3 months for a police investigator to take my case and from my interview, it took already more than a year and a half to locate the different people who were involved in a way or another with the scumbag who raped me and make sure they don't go anywhere until the judgement is done and over with.
So far, he has only interviewed two of the 8 persons involved in my case.
It's already been longer than a year and a half of pure deep agony for me and he has to interview 6 more persons including this piece of sh*t who raped me.
Knowing I am on the top of his rape cases list and the fact that he is not lacking dedication to my case, I don't know how long it will take to get to the Court.
This is the reason why some people give up even if they have all the fire to fight in themselves.

I was molested at 5, my sister raped at 7, by someone who had just been accused of raping someone a few months prior. The biggest mistake people make is not reporting it or following through. I applaud this mother.
I still see the man who molested me on rare occasions. This man is related to me and still lives in the same town I do. I can look him in his face and smile. I will never let him know the trauma he caused me. My sister, she can't. She would break down. The trauma is real and we all handle it differently. I hope this child gets therapy. That's one thing my sister and I didn't get.

The 13 year old he's blaming is actually the victim that got him on the sex offender registry, not any relation to him. His papers were blasted on FB, and it says "aggravated indecent solicitation of a child". He only served 4.5 years for what he did to the 13 year old.

I understand the Aunt was trying to be forgiving and understanding to the Man’s situation but , I personally would never !! This should be a cautionary tale do NOT deal with this type of person especially without doing an extensive background check . Save your family the misery !
