    This is exactly why our mindset isn't shifting.....I see many in the comment hailing NPP and shaming NDC....
    Don't get me wrong, I'm an NPP person ...but this is a win for Ghanaians, not the party ....

    funding that comes to Africa usually comes to build infrastructure that makes it easier to export commodities and resources from the country. This railway, which is designed to transport commodities straight to Tema port, is no exception. The people of Ghana need infrastructure to transport themselves but instead, nearly $500mn is used to make it easier and cheaper to drain the country

That's where I did my national service in Accra cocoa House 🏠 Gihoc you name it's all this institution collapses including infrastructures, another chilling example is Orion cinema 🎥 circles 🔵 Accra all of this company's collapses now few years of this government you have seen some improvement , railways 🛤 collapses in 1979 since there were no trains now it's coming.

    I am confused. The stretch of track running parallel the N2 from Tema heading north is just one track. So there is no free flow of trains in either direction. How will this work?

    • @andyofori463
      @andyofori463 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There can be multiple trains running on one track with switching sections where there are two tracks at various intervals along service route. The trains schedules are timed so that they can pass each other at the switching stations. So at any given time, multiple trains can be moving at different directions on the same track and they only meet at the switching sections which have multiple tracks where they can bypass each other. You can see some of this switching tracks in the video where there is another set of rails inside the track curving in a different direction. This is how it is done all over the world. Otherwise you have underused tracks which are very expensive to construct.

      Inflation rate is high doesn’t mean the fund in the country’s reserve is depleted tho, it might take a hit but the country still has funds and some of these were accounted for before the conditions got to this level

      The project is financed by Indian export-import bank's funds and the line itself is being built mainly by the German Deutsche Bahn's subsidiary. China has exactly been financing huge projects in Africa (mostly for supporting their own globalization strategy) but now has nothing to do with this project :)

      @@mercybaffoe1025 please! They were brought there in the 18 century as indentured slaves. Also, all over the Caribbean and the Pacific. Nothing new here. You may want to watch " the coolies, how Europeans invented slavery" and read Jeremiah 49:34-38 and see how they came there. I am not saying what happened to them was right but this was to happen according to prophecy. But we should not act as though they are Africans. No they are middle Eastern Indians. I don't know what being indebted to India have to do with them living on Africa? This makes no sense so what are you saying really?
