Dumb question for you, I pick up records occasionally from a local store or on ebay but I feel like I swing and miss a lot. What is your process when selecting records? Any tips?
Well same as you I miss a lot as well. I try to stay searching on TH-cam for artists so when I am digging I know what to expect from a certain artist. Sometimes I google the album on the spot to see if it has any fire. I just like to collect records so I don't mind.
I found by checking the records I already love and seeing who’s playing on the album and who produced it. I’ll sit and TH-cam the album in the store and quickly give a track or two a listen. Take your time and always hit the dollar bin. Don’t sleep on the ones you think look corny either.

🔥How’d you do that stop from the transport controls?
Great video! How did you add tail to that sample? Did you straight cut and/or stretched the wave file or did you use an effect or something? I am working with Maschine and just always asked my self how to add more tail to a sample and increase its length so to say. Cheers 🥂
The mpc now has a tail function that allows you to extend the end of the sample.

How Do I get My Downloaded Sounds from My Mac to My MPC X?

My drum process takes up a long time, I got some videos about that.

This was 30min I shortened it to 10min
