- First impression video of all of the new woods shown in component holders with all existing woods. Also shown are two black walnut hobby shelves.
Note: I am not sponsored or paid by wyrmwood for any of my videos. I am just an end user speaking my mind.

1:06 Black Poisonwood
1:48 Lacewood
2:27 Bolivan Rosewood
3:32 Zebrawood
4:11 Eastern Elm

Thank you so much for doing this video, I reference it it a lot. As well as your other wood comparison video. Maybe at some point you can do a video of all of the woods you have together.
His other video with wood comparisons is called "Wyrmwood Modular Game Table: Wood Comparison" published 3/7/2022. In that video he shows the following woods.
Black Walnut
Cherry Wood
Espresso Maple
Maple Wood
White Oak
Padouk
Paducah
Peruvian Walnut
Purple Heart
Rosewood
Tavern Elm
Wenge
The table in both videos is Black Walnut.
Thanks for showing off the hobby shelves! How are you liking them now? Get any end caps?
Thanks for watching! No end caps and haven’t felt the need for them. Use them largely for putting out snacks when gaming but have used them for a few games as a personal tray to hold components. Glad I got them and might one day pick up 1-2 more but as of now am content with 2 for gaming with 2-4 people regularly.
@@ThePercOfGaming would you be able to tell me the width of playu area of the hobby shelf? the site says 6.5 but im not sure if you lose some sticking it into the table (lip of table covering some area)
Thanks for your video. These comparison videos are super helpful! Can you comment on the difference between Rustic Walnut and Black Walnut? What makes the latter more expensive? Thanks again!
@@AngryHinduCow rustic has more sap wood (the light streaks) and imperfections (knots, digits, etc) you’ll have more color variation as a result. The walnut is more consistent in color
@@ThePercOfGaming Thank you for your quick response. I do enjoy the color variation and the "character". Much appreciated.
Do you know if there is any information on how much weight it takes before the hobby shelf breaks? When you have it on the outside of the table, it looks like it would be susceptible to someone leaning it by accident and snapping it.
No information is available that I’m aware of with an actual number and I agree that is a possible concern depending on your group. I would not advise letting anybody do it for the sake of consistency and ease of expectations to avoid damage because they are absolutely not made for that level of force on them. Shouldn’t be an issue for any normal item, though between food gaming components, or even a laptop/tablet/phone resting on there but absolutely no leaning would be advised.
Would you be able to share the width of the table legs? THANKS
Curious if the two shelfs together fit on the inside rail width wise, as opposed to length wise?
Unfortunately the shield apron (short apron) won’t hold two of them
@@ThePercOfGaming thanks for checking!
I cannot think of a more overpriced company for quality than Wyrmwood. They MASSIVELY overvalue themselves.
Is there another company that you feel produces high quality products in a similar manner? I’d be curious to hear your thoughts.
