“Just because he’s Christian doesn’t mean he’s husband material”
THIS. Just because a guy says he’s christian doesn’t mean anything.

Goes for you females to. My wife as into the church REALLY DEEP, sang in a choir to. Guess what?! caught her ass cheating on me while I was out to sea, and the kicker is she got pregnant to. Just because they are Christians and go to church and reads the bible DON'T MEAN that they are right. The church is FULL of hypocrites and heathens. Ive seen WAY TOO much to think otherwise.

its true. My ex fiancé was a new Christian and at the time that meant to me GREEN LIGHT> but someone told me something afterwards that is akin to this. Just because you are both Christian doesn't mean your equally yoked. ...doesnt mean you see eye to eye.

I committed to waiting for God in my relationships, and actually told God in my prayers that I didn’t need a relationship, and I just wanted Him to grow me. Well, about a month later, God brought the most amazing man into my life. I’ve been watching Christian dating/marriage videos because we’re now talking about marriage-and he meets every single one of these. We push each other CLOSER to Jesus, and I love that about our relationship. He even meets number 8, lol!

But yea, we need to be educated on not just brushing our teeth, but using a good facial washing regime+ moisturizer, as well as the hair. And on the mention of hair, guys need to learn to shave some of that back, neck and trim armpit hair, its getting gross. Some say that it isn't masculine, i say they are foolish. Thats just my 2 cents.

As someone who really connects with God during worship, I oftentimes find that if I'm in church and see someone who I'm interested in, I'll watch them during worship. This is a good reminder that just because they don't raise their hands or close their eyes doesn't mean they're not worshiping in their own way!! Another wonderful video Tiff

Yes , I wish I had known that finding the right mate has much more than just find a Christian. That was pretty much all I heard and talked about growing up and it really impacted me forever. I assumed out of naivety that a Christian guy would suddenly have these characteristics . I learned after my divorce 4 years ago, that’s not the case. I ended up being hasty in my decision to get married because of this idea that was formulated and although I was blessed with an amazing daughter, it brought a lot of pain. God has done a great healing.

All of these were tremendously on point. I would further elaborate on the Treating Others to include "How does he treat his mother and other women in his life?" That is such a key factor,
Lately, I've also paid close attention to "How does he respond to criticism?" If you attend school or work with him, does he realize his mistake by admitting he deserved it, or does he shout obscenities and hold grudges? While we all have our times of getting upset at a situation, the man who can show maturity is always the keeper.

All very good points! Especially your point about how some church goers can be “crazy” (I even hesitate to call certain people in church “Christian”, as going to church all your life is obviously no guarantee that you will start acting like Christ.). Even if someone is a sincere Christian, and is really trying to display spiritual fruit (rather than just acting like a religious nut), they still might have different convictions than you about certain things, and that could lead to friction (read Romans chapter 14 in its entirety if you don’t know what I am talking about.). For example, you two might have a different idea about whether or not smoking tobacco is a sin or not, and that could cause arguments if one of you smokes. What about, is it OK to see “R” rated movies? Is dancing OK, or does it promote lustful thoughts? Is it a sin to eat delicious food (indulging the senses)? Is it disrespectful to God to wear casual clothes to Sunday morning services? Should women wear pants, or is that immodest? What about wearing shorts, or hats indoors (1 Cor. 11:7)? What about drinking wine or beer in moderation; is that OK, or is it awful? Simply going to the same church is no guarantee that you will agree on all of these issues, and some people are quite hard-headed and controlling about this, as they see EVERYTHING as a black or white issue, and there is no nuance. What if you go to see a movie that your spouse thinks is evil, and you argue about it for weeks (sounds like more of a control freak, if he or she does this, rather than someone who is really concerned with your spiritual health). These issues and arguments happen, and the arguments might get worse after you have children.

Dude, I mean improving is one thing... But improving and remolding one's entire self just to get something we expect will "complete" us, is folly. Especially going to the level of dating someone who has kids, absolute no-no, just abuse of power and not my issue to ever deal with. But in general too-- happiness is never a permanent thing. It comes and goes, and life always improves and gets worse no matter what we do. It's just the little things that add up that makes us feel whether our lives are shaping up and have hope, or descending to a bad place and getting only dark... But life always crumbles away and starts anew-- why the only marriages that last are people willing to accept and adapt with change. And communication. I'm not even a marriage type, nor expect to be, but it seems clear as day. Expectations lead to disappointment & resentment, enjoy the small things and finding our own well springs of fulfilment and preferably not relying on others is the more ideal. And especially for people who have extensive histories of mental stuff/ can't catch a break... Yeah I'm not rushing into trusting other people, especially modern women, any time soon, and if worth their salt, when I make a comeback/ am stronger again, they ought to chase me. Only a matter of time before those remaining in the field lower their expectations, late 20's sure suck, but least I have some major gained wisdom/ life experience for sure

I appreciate your videos so much. You are truly able to get these vital points to us, with genuine honesty. I feel that girls and women are in need of this information especially since we may not have had great information growing up. And if you add that to all the times we doubt ourselves, it can get pretty crazy and confusing at times. 😜 it's so true about the "fake" person who has their "act" together at church, but isn't really showing their true self. Knowing what to look for and not being afraid to ask the tough questions are definitely so important. Thank you for another awesome video.

But I feel encouraged to rise up against defeat and know that There is someone for me...I just need to make sure I sift through the wrong ones more quickly!

@@MrKrushgutz okay first of all. Have you never seen a girl compliment a girl in a completely straight way? I compliment my friends ALL the time. Second of all, you make that sound like an insult! Yes the bible says homosexuality is wrong but that does NOT mean you can just go around making people feel bad about it. Saying someone is apart of the LGBTQ+ community should never be an insult. Spread love, not hate ❤

Now that's a cool idea! I think a lot of items are pretty similar for guys and for girls, but maybe I could get a few guys to say what they think is important to look for in a girl. I'll have to think about this more! Thanks for the idea! :)

Love this list! Had to pause the video and laugh about 7 because it applies to my current (also first) boyfriend who has been my friend for 7 years before he asked me out. I have always felt drawn to him even though I never really considered dating him and even told my best friend a couple months before he asked me out that I wanted to date someone like him lol

So beyond true!! Once I got saved I felt so "protected" and thought it meant any guy I dated who shared my faith who I met through Church would be an amazing person who treated me like a queen!.... I could not have been any further from the truth, the biggest A Hole I ever dated was a supposed "great church going Christian guy" he trash talked all his past relationships, had no long term friendships or fam relationships, treated waitstaff like trash, treated women like commodities, and I looked past it because I thought I must be mis-interpreting seeing as he was "a great Christian guy" Thankfully that relationship taught me to look for a man who shares my passions, who has lifelong friends (ie a sign when people enter his life they actual want to stick around), a man who valued women, a man who cared about people! It was the most awful relationship of my life, but it led me to seeking out and recognizing the love of my life, Being with an absolute jerk will, atleast hopefully, teach you what is actually important in a relationship! It made me 100x more thankful for my husband when I found him because I knew how rare and valuable a man like him was!!!!
