I feel some of the default/main costume have the same issue as most of the ones from Tekken 7, they look more like alternate costumes, like, P2 or P3, not outfits the characters would wear "canonically" like in a Story Mode.
Agreeing with you on the Hwoarang. The decision to make him come back to his "Martial Artist" root instead of the "Biker" one resulted in a Fantastic outfit.
i really like the Asuka outfit because it gives off this modern, grundge/instagram girl fashion sense and this academy vibe. I feel like it adds a lot of colour and variety to the tekken roaster in itself. Kind of a breath of fresh air if you ask me. Her Tekken 7 outfit just looked way too dull and just not pretty at all.
Lee knows that stuff is heating up and the battle that is ensuing requires him to be fashionally practical. Out of the entire cast, with Hwaorang on the battlefield in his Taekwondo gi and King in his wrestling gear, Lee is the only one suited up for combat.
i love king’s new design. he’s been rocking the same blue pants with gold boots look since tekken 3 with minimal changes during that entire time (with a brief, not great departure in tekken 4) and they just decked my boy out. it’s loud. it’s bold. it’s ostentatious. this is the costume only a world champion is allowed to wear.
Only think I like about lee base is that in lore this is supposed to be a brand new suit for all soldiers. However due to some worry some risks Lee decided to basically test it himself because he had that much confidence in his work… so Lee being selfless is nice
Asuka's outfit is more to be of that of a school uniform of sorts, don't partially know if that what Japanese girls where over there but I think it was alright. But as for Lee is stated he develop this suit from Violet systems in the story mode. It makes more further sense when you look at his arcade prolouge & ending where he basically becomes Tony Stark/Iron Man of Tekken. And to be honest I was in the same thought in mind when I first saw this outfit and kinda hated it but grown to appreciated it a bit more now knowing the lore behind it and even some of the promotional artwork that went into it kinda with all the others. Also Azucena is from Peru so she would be wearing a Peruvian style outfit native to her home.
I personally think Yoshimitsu is the best he’s ever looked I like how supernatural and cursed he looks, it’s like an amalgamation between Tekken 3, 5 and Tag 2
I love Zafina's alternate preset 3. I think it's very sexy but the one he really should review is her unlockable custom from Super Ghostle Battle. That's easily one of her best and easily 10/10 for various reasons 😅. I have a recent match on my YT channel playing her with it.
Asuka’s has grown on me. I don’t hate it now. Jin’s alt is amazing. I hated Xiaoyu’s alternate outfit before but then in her ending it looks really really good so I don’t know now lol.
I would’ve give the fur coat Steve 8 as well but the coat would actually get in his face in some of his intro/win pose. If I remember correctly, the fur straight up clip into his mouth in certain pose.
