Me too! We traveled to Texas from North Carolina. The temperature drop seemed quite intense here but my favorite was being able to actually see the sun flares during totality. Absolutely breathtaking!
My Aunt lives in a town 40 mins away from the path of totality so we just turned our trip into a vacation/family reunion for the week 👍
OHIO. It was amazing here. Never experienced it before so it was definitely a once in a lifetime event.
I think with all the negativity happening in the world, it's a blessing to see human beings from all over come together, peacefully and happily, and marvel at a natural event. I wish it could be this way all the time: people being happy and getting along.

Well said! I totally agree. I'm from Southern Ontario I didn't go anywhere to watch the beautiful solar eclipse. me and my daughter sat outside and watch it. It was so amazing I don't blame anybody for shouting for joy I could feel the joy came from God. He blessed us with the beautiful scenery ❤

I think when end of the world will happen it's beautiful not fearful...
In NH, traffic was backed up for over 9 hours for many/most. There was no honking, arguing, flipping anyone off. People truly did behave. My only complaint was the litter. As evident per my community tab, I pick up my state. There was A LOT to pick up, more than normal.
Please carry in, carry out. Leave no trace. Nature and the wildlife don't deserve that disrespect. Please be more cognizant next time you visit. Thank you❤ (edited a typo)

I also watched this total eclipse from France on my television… sent by NASA all over the world! This was my second complete eclipse … first one in France during my holidays from Japan and in our country house.
That was in 1999 … amazing… SILENCE … from any animals … birds .. cattle’s .. really eerie.. we had two labradors.. they ran inside the house whining … I know I will not be on earth for the next one….

I’m seriously glad I watched it. It had gotten super dark to where the street lights came on. Mind you it was 3:10 in the afternoon. It was 72 out. Hot when you walked out sun shining bright. When the eclipse happened, it felt as if it dropped 10+ degrees it got a little chilly out. Just amazing. I wish I could see it again.

the orbit line is ZIGZAG.
Then also pay attention to the Umbral area caused by a total solar eclipse, namely the dark area when the eclipse occurs. If it is true that the Western opinion regarding the position of the Earth in its orbit is always along the ecliptic line, of course the Umbra region is in the form of a STRAIGHT LINE from west to east, but in reality it curves to the NORTH or SOUTH according to the Earth's movement south and north of the ecliptic line.
Regarding this, western scholars cannot possibly provide information about the reasons and causes, as they also do not explain why the MOON which orbits around the Earth is not always right ABOVE the Earth's equator, but is pushed NORTH and SOUTH.
If the Earth is said to orbit always in the ecliptic lines, of course the Moon is always above the equator around the Earth.

Perfectly clear near Dayton, Ohio on Monday which doesn’t normally happen in early April. I felt humbled and honored to see my first total eclipse in 69 years!

You miss the point. For some it may be. For others like me, every eclipse is different and affects your soul. They don’t occur that often in areas close where one resides. It’s an amazing experience and I will make as many eclipses as time allows me. Nature at work. Beautiful.

Dude, brighten up. It's an amazing and very rare event. I live in England, where the next solar eclipse will be in 2081. The last one was in 1999, and the weather was horrendous, so we couldn't see anything. In all likelihood, most of us here will never see a solar eclipse.

I watched for almost a full hour and when it was almost covered, it got cloudy.
That's what happened to me in 2017. I was so bummed out, we only had like yen minutes to go til totality and a thunderstorm rolled in that was a done deal and it stayed cloudy the rest of the day and didn't get to see anything else.
well, even tho you didnt get to SEE it, the effects are right around the corner, EVERYONE is affected by the eclipses for up to 6 months or more...

Sorry guys, I know how it feels too. In 2017 we had clear skies all day and were less than q0 minutes from totality and a severe storm rolled in and nothing but clouds the rest of the day. It was my first time seeing it and for so many others too and we were all so bummed out.

I'm from the Midwest. Where I live, it was cloudy AF, so my area didn't get to see it whatsoever. 💔 Disappointing day, ngl, when you have high hopes.

No, it’s not weird. We understand it. We know mankind likes the darkness rather than the light. This eclipse is a sign that judgement is coming upon our nation. Too much sin has permeated every aspect of our lives. Even small children are deliberately permitted to be corrupted. Abortion is rampant. Most people don’t consider what is sacred.

As one of the cities in the totality zone, I can tell you it was awesome. Watching the darkness descend like a light on a dimmer, was super cool and a little disturbing as well. It’s true; pictures and videos don’t do it justice for the many of you who couldn’t make it to places like Montpelier, Dallas, and Indianapolis

I drove over 2 hours away to see the totality of the eclipse in Cape Girardeau, Missouri but it was worth the trip to see in person. I agree with others here, all the pics doesn't compare at all to seeing it in person. The birds went crazy moments before complete totality, the temperature dropped and became dark for 4 minutes long. And the gamma burst you could see all around the moon! Such an awesome event to witness for the first time in my life and probably the last time I'll ever see a total eclipse since I'm 53 yrs old. The next one won't be here until 2044. God is good and such a magnificent artist!!! ❤🙏
