What is floating village:
It refers to seasonally flood freshwater lake.
Lake and an attached river, the 120 km long Tonlé Sap River, that connects the lake to the Mekong River.
More than a village it is a small town that has Clinic, Church, Temple, Markets, Restaurants, Police Station, Cremation Place and everything that a large community requires to function.
Conclusion:
For those people who have never seen such thing before, it is truly mind blowing experience. Can see what life is like over water
I was amazed to see there set up and how people are surviving in this condition is truly hats off

Yeah it’s expensive when the village is flooded as you have to pay for a boat.
I go in the dry season when the Tuk tuk can drive right into the village and you can walk around to your hearts content
And it’s so incredible seeing the houses perched up on long stilts, a very different and I think better experience

Yes it is easy. It is a small boat but safe one. There is no jetty, you have to go there by tuk tuk and take tickets. They will provide you a specific boat with guide.

The water came from river tonle sap. It is seasonal though during 4 5 months rainy season.

This place is in seam reap and we took scooty on rent and after that we followed google maps to go there. You just have to take boat ride n pay for that around 20$.
