I must say that I hate my job when I watch this fantastic channel. It makes me want to play HOI4 non-stop when I know that I can't do it because of work/life/etc. I purposedly don't watch the channel until I have some long holidays and it's always a pleasure to come back to even greater content each time.

@@lollilalop one of my long time wishes is to make an empire series of guides: Roman Empire (done), British Empire (done), Ottoman Empire, Bizantine Empire, Holy Roman Empire, maybe Persian empire. So the answer is yes, but I don't know when yet.
Well, the guide is awesome, but i will share my experience with a incident doing it. After cap Italy i was doing the push through Belgium when a African colony break free and decleared war to me, i didnt pay much attention to it and i continued with the push. When the UK capitulated that country, which was Togo, a peace conference break up. In that peaconf were all the Beneleux (Lux,Bel and Ned) for some reason and well, i didnt have any participation then, the countries my divisions were in became free and in another faction, so suddenly my offensive divisions were locked in and were instantly annihilated by the Germans without me being able to do much. Conclusion the guide is great and i will try it another time other day but guys be careful with the resistence because with France is something difficult, i hope that this advise someone dont need to restart when this happen as i had to do.
@@thespartancj.1010 thank you for reporting this! I had a colony break free in one of my (many) test runs, and it seems to be related to reloading the game several times after starting. In my case though there was no issue with the peace conference, so it did not affect the war as much.
@@kashshhds8824 for this particular guide concentrated and dispersed offer basically the same results. Dispersed is safer overall, but if you follow the guide very carefully concentrated has a slight advantage towards the end.
I'm French and your pronunciation is pretty accurate (except for Marseille and Metz) I think against Germany, a spacemarine template with 8 inf, 3 art, 2 AA, 1 AT and 1 light tank artillery (1936 chassis, close air support, and max armor and easy maintenance) would be more efficient (and obviously signal, motorized reco, logistic, maintenance, engineer) Anyway, it was a great guide, could you do one for f Finland ?
@@ANCalias hi and thank you for the feedback! I'll need to work on my pronunciation hehe Finland is on my list of countries to cover, unfortunately it is a long list... But it will come! As for the space marines template, it would definitely work, but I don't like using space marines in general (I find them a little cheesy). Nothing wrong with using them of course, it's single player so there are no rules! I also don't think the anti-tank is needed this early into the war (you would need to research and produce it, at the cost of something else). The German divisions, unlike what one might think, are pretty low on hardness, so you mostly fight infantry. The piercing you get from the AA support company is more than enough. That being said, if you try the run with space marines please let me know how it goes, I would be very interested in a comparison!
@@MachiavellianStrategist I tried it Pre war : 1936 -> I had the communist event (10 c support or -3 st 5 d) ; basically I max out infra in all northern France, to do so I delet other armies than mains one (48 div) 1937 -> Nothing change for your version ; also I was focus on civilian eco (I built 12 of it) 1938 -> I started to farm military factories (At the end of the years thanks to partial mob, I was able to pass from 12 mil to 35), I end the spanish civil war 1939 -> I started to convert my two mains armies to space marines (Like you could imagine, I had a lot of equipment in deficit) ; but at the end of the years I was at something like 80 mil to produce all equipments ; I didn't take the time to build forts or to improve ralways During the war 1940 -> unexpectedly, Germany declare war on me in May, I was not fully ready and I was forced to deploy in urgence (3 DAYS before the war) a defensive army in Alsace Lorraine (wich had 0 division) Regardless, I attacked Italy (June - November) and nothing unexpected happen For losses, I lost 200k against Italy (compared to 285k on their side) as well as less than 3k against Germany (1.25B on their side), no fort and no encirclement At the end of the year, I end the offensive because germans troops start to arrive ; I set a ligne between Venezia and Switzerland 1941 -> I was very low in manpower (200k in reserve) but I tried a offensive against Germany, it worked well and february I was in Berlin, a month later I captured Munich and end the war loss report (total) I (France) -> 250K Italy -> 300K Germany -> 2B However, du to my low manpower, I made the mistake to put require countries in no garnison (thinking I don't care, I will core them anyway) After the war I don't save enough political power to annex Italy (I had 35 pp) so it takje me until late november to do so Infortunously, during that time, Belgium and the Netherland rebelle against me and join Japan's faction but I crush them easily Despict that, I succeed to create the European Union in late november 1941

@@ANCalias i found them to be very rng dependant, ranging from around 200k to around 400k at the end of the war. I would say pretty much in line with yours. They were on the higher side of the spectrum in the run I recorded for the guide (as I messed up a bit in Germany).
On historical, the world tension gets to 100% once Germany attacks Scandinavia. But reloading your save multiple times can cause issues sometimes. If, for some reason, the world tension does not get to 100%, you can just wait for them to attack you, and then justify on Italy.
@@cjfoshu the naval superiority against Italy? Really? I never had issues with that. Do you assign the entire fleet? You can try to use planes too and see if it helps. We are not particularly in a hurry though, so even if you get it a bit later it's still fine.
@@MachiavellianStrategist yea Italy seems to always put up a huge fight for me. Even once I gain the naval supremacy, they have moved so many troops to the north we basically get into a stalemate.

@@RainyPlayz-nh5ql hi! I only write it when you should not use the MIO, by default you should always use it. In the end though, it does not make a huge difference. And people without the dlc can still follow the priority.
@@RobsRedHotSpot hi! Yes, we can finish making all of them before switching to convoys, it's not a priority. But naval production is really quite free, feel free to change it to your preference, it won't affect the run. (do make some convoys to speed up the annexation of Italy though)

@@Solisnak did you join the Allies? I believe if you join the Allies it could be that you free them instead, since you are allied to them. If you do it as France independently you should be occupying them instead.
Is there a reason for why you are using the spearhead line rather than the offensive one? I only use spearheads for tanks and motorized/mechanized divisions.

@@kevincreaven8992 no worries! I actually did not notice the strikes the first times I tested the run, because you don't get any special event. In the upcoming guide for non aligned France we use a slightly different strategy which allows us to avoid them entirely!

35:20 I took some trains between vicenza and venezia this summer and thought they were very nice compared to northern rail in the uk

for some reason when belgium surrendered the world tension was stuck at 85% and I was not able to start the war against italy, any solutions?

Every time I try this strategy it takes months to establish naval supremacy, I can never get the naval invasion off in time.

@@Jesbbis have you completed the focus "review foreign policy"? Because that gives you 120 PP.
