@@Thiskidmage Got it very early on, first week if i recall right, was very fast to hit level 80 and did my gearing almost within the same day, then i just camped while doing some work / otherstuff. Funny thing he spawned 1 min before server shutdown :D
Heads up seems like SilverDragon only works based of Nameplates, meaning it needs to be within I believ 20 yrds of you for it to detect it. So if you're camping the spawn lets say above lake, it wont detect TLPD flying by below you from WF or Uld, however I think Rarescanner will see them. SO best to use both
2:20 if you put it that way then ye, it sounds like it's better in a group. But let's say it spawns on your camping spot, then you could've gotten it 100% but now you have 4 other people rolling on it.
Honestly at that point I’d say just kill it without letting the party members come and tag. The main benefit I think is just knowing when it dies because most people will just kill it on spawn quickly. Another benefit is intimidation. People will fly around checking spawns to camp, but if all are being camped already it doesn’t make it as easy to get and most people who are just flying around give up at that point
The only two spawns that would share a roll are waterfall with lake because of how close they are. I got my TLPD in a group of 2, I was at lake and my buddy was at Uld and he didnt get to roll. You could also just set the loot to FFA anyways. Good luck!
Got mine recently, best advice is to play an alt account while camping or anything really. Would have my headset on while in the kitchen cooking food or whatever, actually had a vyra spawn once while making pancakes for breakfast xD. Is obtainable if you're absolutely dedicated... very fucking hard to obtain in wotlk classic
Is it at least a 6 hour wait after server restart? Also, the very best addon is “UnitscanRares” it alerts when in range instead of mouseover, and it has a long range. I’ve tested it and will alert TLPD. It has no interface but works very well.

nice info. Do you happen to know when TLPD becomes taggable after he spawns? Can you tag him immediately as he spawns and flies out of the mountain or does he fly out and becomes taggable after like 3 seconds?
The layering sounds like it's going to make it harder to actually go into this farm with any sort of technique. For example, kill Vyra, log out for 6 hours, log back into a completely different layer? Are there consistent ways to figure out who's in what layer and to get yourself onto that layer on demand?
/nwb, top right theres a ''guild layers'' button. Shows you on what layer people in your guild that also have the addon are. You can ask invites from them to go back to your Vyra kill layer! Or you can always just ask in trade or lfg for a layer swap! Good luck!
Probably hard to explain here unfortunately :( might be better to watch some TLPD kill videos that are out there. But in general maybe ragnaros’s height if that helps :)

Honestly rarescanner was a bit on and off as well. But yeah, using both would probably be ideal
So now that Cata classic is out is the spawn timer still 6-22 hours?

I’m on in a dead server I’ve heard in other videos there’s issues with being phased out and that TLFD has a population requirement is that BS?
Yeah the only requirement is at least one person staying logged in in an area for long enough. Population of a server doesn’t matter

It is indeed a 6h wait before any new spawn windows after resets!

You can also just body pull if you find it. That’s probably the best way
Get the rocket gloves enchant from engineering.

unfortunately it can go either direction on all 4 paths as far as I know

Immediately after the spawn you can grab him

Yeah, nova world buffs, you target npc in dala or org and it will tell you on which layer you are
Yeah it could help/hurt depending on whoever gets luckiest really. I think overall having more layers will help in terms of competition though
i've killed vyragosa 3 times in a 6 hour window because of layering, its definetely a huge advantage
